I received a letter from the DMV, stating my drivers license was suspended. You can all imagine how I felt at that moment. After making multiple calls to the DMV. I was informed that the suspension was due to an accident I was involved in 2010. My license was suspended for not appearing before the court. Two days later I received a letter from a collecting agency stating I owe a lot of money. The accident occurred days after I returned from my deployment. I had let my sister borrow my car during my deployment with the condition, that she had it insured. The insurance company she chose exclude me the owner and never informed her nor I of the action. After finding this out. I immediately began searching for legal advice. I contacted three attorneys. One who told me he didn't take losing cases. "Losing cases"? I was very aware of the predicament I was in. My last option, which should have been my first was Deville Law Group. Jessica Deville was able to explained the issue and the solutions. From the get-co she was honest and explained that since I was not insured and I had no proof of insurance. I would have to pay the insurance, but it wasn't going to be the amount they were demanding. Jessica was able to have the lawsuit set aside and dismissed since I was never served properly (I was overseas on my second deployment). In Addition, she was able to get a more than reasonable settlement and got my license reinstated without any penalties. For those who have never had their license suspend for not having insurance.
