Even when I contacted him initially about a possible case that we didn't pursue he gave me his personal contact info so I would have it if I needed him. Truly friendly and nice man! It is very important when you are in a vulnerable situation to have a person that actually cares about you and is ethical and will not take advantage of the situation because you are vulnerable and hurting. My manipulating unethical divorce attorney hurt me in spades and as a result I didn't know what to expect in this new situation. As I mentioned above, Daniel had given me his information in a short conversation awhile back, so I decided to give him a try when this hit and run accident happened to me... and I am so glad that I did! The day came when I did need him I was hit by a hit-and-run drunk driver in a big white truck. It was terrifying and not only did my car get damaged but the accident left me with some back and neck pain. Daniel got me in touch with some doctors right away both regular doctors, also chiropractic an mri office. The mri showed some spine and neck trauma from being hit. This was also during a very difficult time it was during the pandemic lock down beginning a few weeks after the accident. The insurance company like most insurance companies are pretty heartless and they said because the guy was a hit-and-run that I couldn't claim uninsured motorist ! (A dirty little secret in the insurance industry that they pull on people.) Since my car is when that I have had since it was new in 2010 I would didn't have it insured for a lot of money but car means a lot to me. Now I also had pain to deal with. Through the chiropractic and pain specialist people Daniel set me up with I was able to get therapy, and am doing much better. All through the process, the staff at Daniel Kim's offices were in touch updating me, encouraging me and very helpful in seeing this process through. It took awhile but not excessive time. And I never felt ignored, or that they weren't working on my case. I knew they were. Daniel got my insurance to pay the full amount on my policy so I was able to cover the doctors and even repair my dear car. We all see the commercials for accident attorneys. We laugh or groan lol. But Daniel Kim and his staff showed me what a truly professional caring, competent and ethical law firm can do. You're treated as important case, a priority person, big case or small. I highly recommend Daniel Kim to anyone who finds themselves in need of an accident attorney. Thank you Daniel and staff for your wonderful help!

The only thing they are good at is they assign an admin officer to visit your home the day after the accident, trying to give you a feel that they care, but afterwards, it's hell. They sent a person to my home right after my accident who is not a attorney but doesn't say they aren't so you think you are getting the best treatment! That is so far from the truth, they give you a legal assistant who is your case manager and that person doesn't know anything about the law! They consistently give wrong information. Here are a few examples of how wonderful they aren't. 1) I had a Dr apt (MRI) for over a week they called and canceled my appointment because the auto insurance hadn't said their driver was a fault. Knowing I am in pain everyday and the dr needed this MRI to diagnose me and come up with a treatment plan they still called them and canceled my appointment. I can't believe this attorney thinks they have the right to cancel my appointment my dr made me when I am using my own private health insurance is insane. D 2) I was hit by two cars and the law firm know this however didn't see the other car on the first police report so said forget about that car and just go after the first car insurance! All they needed to do is get the second police report and they never did! I had to get it for them because they are to lazy to do their job the right way. If you are wanting to feel like a law firm is doing nothing for you and doesn't care about your health then this law firm is for you. I am in the process of removing them from representing me and they can't even reply back or call. I can't believe this attorney hasn't already been taken to the bar administration. Well there is a trust time for everything.

That's when I reached out to the offices of James Yang. From the start, Santiago was incredibly knowledgeable and reassuring. He made it clear that my case would be handled with care and that I'd be kept informed throughout the process. I was nervous and unsure of what to expect, but every two to three weeks, I received updates from the office. Santiago encouraged me to reach out anytime I had questions, and he always responded with clarity and professionalism -- never once did I hear "let me find out." That gave me real confidence in my decision to work with their team. The process began in January, and I anticipated it would take at least a year. They arranged for an MRI and treatment for my back injury, and by mid-July, my case was settled -- for more than I expected. But it wasn't just about the money. It was about securing peace of mind for my family and knowing that if I chose to have surgery, it would be covered. James and his team understand that time is invaluable. They worked diligently to resolve my case and made sure I was taken care of every step of the way. I'm truly grateful for their dedication and support.

I did all the treatment that she recommend. to walk away with alot less for my pockets than what was discussed from the beginning. She spent 11000 on expert witness without my knowledge. She vaguely said we are already accumulating fees,She hired these witnesses for trial and it never went to trail. With this being my first personal injury case/trial, I have no idea how this stuff works, so I'm assuming that these fees would not need to be paid if we are not going to trial but of course with her lack of communication she never clarifies anything. Once I happen to ask how much of these were and when she told me it was $11,000 out of my portion only I said well we might as well go to trial since I have already paid for all of these witnesses. She then told me that she would drop my case and leave me without representation 19 calendar days before my scheduled trial date. If i had too seek new representation i would have a lien placed on the case which will discourage any other attorney to take it, which she knows, on top of the 11k that she NEVER told me about until i agreed to settle. I feel completely ripped off by her. I also found it weird that everything she did was verbal until the very end she wanted to start having everything in writing. In the end, she did cut her fees down a tad bit, but of course ,She made over 50k because our case involved 3 ppl she got more money than we did combined. Stay away and go with an attorney who is willing to fight the whole fight not just until they are ready to call it quits mind you, I was rear ended by a landscaping company liability was never an issue. Trust me use a different attorney.

My experience with the Law Office of Sylvia Venita Gonzalez was deeply disappointing and extremely…read morestressful from start to finish. At the beginning of my case, I dealt primarily with her receptionist--now her associate--Erika. Unfortunately, Erika was consistently nonchalant, rude, and unprofessional, which made communication very difficult. The situation became so tense that Sylvia even considered dropping my case after I expressed frustration with Erika's conduct--until she discovered that my insurance policy was worth one million dollars. The coordination of medical treatment was slow and poorly managed. The first physician Sylvia referred us to was only open one day a week, which was not feasible for us. After expressing that concern, we were given another provider located over 11 miles away. We agreed, simply to avoid further delay. Because of their lack of organization, there was a significant gap in my treatment. Later, Sylvia began working with an attorney named Matthew, who was professional, supportive, and made me feel confident during my deposition preparation. He even indicated that my case had a six-figure value. However, he mysteriously left the firm shortly after my deposition. As the case progressed, I was referred to a back specialist who recommended invasive surgery. I initially agreed but later canceled due to the high cost. Not long after, Sylvia informed me that opposing counsel had become unresponsive and that we would return to negotiations with the insurance adjuster. Around this time, her approach toward me changed--she began trying to dissuade me from pursuing trial and made me feel insecure about my chances. Sylvia explicitly told me, "Torrance Court does not have any compassion for the injured." I disagreed, explaining that I was still suffering from my injuries and willing to testify about how the accident had affected my life. However, rather than supporting her client, she continued using discouraging and manipulative tactics to pressure me into settling. At one point, she sent me a "trial risk" letter highlighting my past criminal history, implying that a jury would view me negatively despite the fact that I have not had any legal trouble in over 15 years. The language in the letter was unnecessarily harsh and made me feel more like a defendant than a plaintiff. Her persistent pressure eventually led me to accept a settlement I was not comfortable with. She gave me only two days to decide, claiming that her fee percentage would increase afterward. Not even a month later, after I had already settled, Sylvia informed my wife--whose case was still active--that the adjuster wanted to reopen negotiations. Had I not been pressured into settling, I strongly believe I could have recovered significantly more compensation. The settlement I received does not begin to cover my ongoing medical needs or the long-term impact this accident has had on my quality of life and earning capacity. Additionally, there were serious procedural and ethical concerns. At one point, the firm mistakenly sent me a transcript containing another client's confidential information, which is a clear violation of attorney-client privilege. Whenever I brought up errors or inconsistencies, they were denied and dismissed in a gaslighting manner. What deeply concerned me was how Sylvia handled settlement discussions. When opposing counsel suddenly stopped communicating, she seemed unusually eager for me to accept a low offer rather than push forward with trial preparation. Her behavior made me question whether she was truly advocating for me or aligning herself with the opposing side's interests. I know that's a serious concern, but her actions including discouraging me from trial, focusing on my weaknesses, and rushing me to settle--made me feel completely unsupported as her client. After caving to her pressure, I settled for far less than I should have. Ironically, not long afterward, Sylvia told my wife (whose related case was still open) that the adjuster wanted to resume negotiations--proving I was pushed into settling prematurely. The amount I received doesn't come close to covering my ongoing medical needs or the lasting impact this accident has had on my life. To make matters worse, Sylvia refused to properly negotiate my medical liens, insisting that certain providers be paid in full because she felt their charges were "fair." I had to personally follow up to ensure fair reductions were made. In my professional opinion--as Sylvia would say ! having worked in the personal injury field for nearly nine years Sylvia appeared completely unprepared or unwilling to take my case to trial. Instead of advocating for me, she focused on minimizing my claims, discrediting my character, and pushing for a low settlement. Sylvia's communication style caused significant emotional distress for me and my family. Every interaction with her left me feeling anxious and defeated. I came to deeply regret hiring her as my counsel.
