I know escape rooms have been around for a while, but it wasn't until I read Partners in Crime by Alisha Rai that I finally felt inspired to try one for myself. And WOW I'm so glad I did! My husband and I tackled the Clue-Dunnit room and had an absolute blast. It was intense, immersive, and honestly, such a great way to bond and have fun. We finished with just seconds to spare, which made it all the more exciting. If you're in Sarasota area and looking for a fun, interactive experience, I highly recommend trying out an escape room - you won't regret it. Pro Tip: Go with people you communicate well with - every second counts! read more

Great experience! The employees made our first time a memorable one! She gave us clues to help us along the way when we got stumped. read more

Escaped from three out of three of their rooms. Disco Toxin, Mafia Mayhem and Clue Dunnit. Amazing puzzles, incredible theming and friendly staff. Game master, Chase is da bomb! He made our experience a gazillion times better. If I could give Chase 10 stars I would! We can't wait for the new room to be completed. We will be back. If your looking for a fun place to make some great memories with your family or friends I would highly recommend Escape Reality Sarasota. read more

Escape Reality - Escape Reality Sarasota is AMAZING! - Escape Games Near Me - Sarasota, Florida

Family of 4. We did all the rooms in this establishment. They are simple but lack of decoration and special effects. Too many chests to my taste, but no reason to give less than 5 stars. Teens loved it. We all had a lot of fun. Awesome staff. Recommended if you are in sarasota. read more

We had so much fun participating in the introductory Clue-Dunnit! The Staff was so helpful with booking, and during the event, they offered us just the right amount of assistance when we were stuck. The facility was spotless. The rooms were well thought out, and the game was intriguing! We will definitely book another event with this venue - a great time was had by all! read more

Boring. Avoid. The establishment is small. The rooms are simply decorated. The board games are boring as well. Waste of time and money. Buy a VR headset it's more fun to game at home with friends read more

Last Friday I played both games with 3 friends, and 3 others who filled up the room (you can reserve a whole room for an additional fee). Playing both rooms is the best way to get the most out of your visit to Escape Reality Games. We had a blast! Each game has a different theme, and there's a puzzle bar where you can decompress between games - grab some caffeine or alcohol or something milder, and wait for the next room to get set up. You should budget 3 hours for the 2 games, including photos. Escape Reality is a new game room (opened September, 2016), and they have some unique features. There's a stage where they have karaoke night, and a huge screen with video games. The décor is a visual feast, with every square inch decorated in theme or just for your viewing pleasure. Even the restrooms are amazing! One game, Corporate Spy, has 2 rooms, and bigger groups can race against each other. The other is set in England, 1905. Both were challenging and required a couple hints from the "observer." Technology was woven into the 1905 room in very period-appropriate (looking) ways. It was front-and-center in Corporate Spy. In the rooms, it was fun to watch others work to solve parts of the riddle. I wonder if we would have solved more efficiently, had all known each other. Each game was a chaotic problem-solving bonanza. This is 180-degrees from passive screen time! Before you leave, the staff takes a team photo. They have dozens of costumes and masks, from Roman gladiator to poop emoji. I highly recommend Escape Reality Games for an immersive and fun experience, alone, for date night, a family "staycation," or company team building. We did it just to have fun, mission accomplished. PS We escaped from both rooms! read more

This was a spur of the moment this to do with some out of town family. Susie and Jacob were great, accommodating us as goofy as we were before even starting. Susie QT-3.14 was the perfect personality to be with us as our barkeep in the Mafia room and the fact that she was in the room interacting with us made it even more fun than other rooms I've done before where you're calling an outside party who is watching from a screen. After finishing the room experience, we hung out in the waiting area, grabbed some food from next door and proceeded to take over their ping-pong table. It was a great time and definitely recommend, especially for a group!! read more

An hour doesn't feel like enough time to get through some of these rooms that are offered, and the "back seat driver" nagging of the announcers/game masters certainly don't help either. There are certainly more relaxing experiences out there to "Escape Reality" and I would highly suggest anyone reading this review does the same. read more

Had a great time at the escape room. Jessica was wonderful and very helpful. We were in the brewery heist and it was so much fun. It was our second time there. I was with 2 ten year olds and they loved it!! read more

The whole place has a very cool Vibe, they serve alcohol also. We did the mafia room which included alcohol. Don't expect to get drunk, just some tasty mixed liquor. I do wonder if the copper mugs they serve alcohol in are washed after each group? The room was very challenging and a lot of fun. The owner seemed awesome and I would definitely come back again. We had a group of 6 and we escaped but it was tough! I was going to give this place a 4 out of 5, because the girl who played the bartender (actual live person in the room with you) kept talking a lot and giving us hints. She would tell us if we kept going back to something that nothing was there or hinted where we needed to go next. It was kinda frustrating. I think if there is going to be an actual person (employee) in the room, they should be in full character at all times. However, it's not the establishments fault that their young employee was super excited about her role, but it may be good to re-train the female employee since we are the paying customers and want to be the ones to solve the puzzles. read more

This place is the most fun I've had in a while! The employees are so nice they make you feel like you're at home. The room you have to escape is so much fun it really gets you thinking! It's not huge but definitely a quality place! So much fun. This place also has a bar and board games to play, a bunch of different ones. I spent hours at this place with friends playing board games. The atmosphere is pretty cool and there's so many pretty lights and cute hats and wigs to try on and take pictures. The bathroom here is the COOLEST bathroom you will ever see ! Will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and will also be back here, thank you to the workers who were so much fun to also talk to! read more

Very cool place. Best hour to spend with your friends. After playing one game, we just had to book our group for another date. I recommend this place for anyone who likes to have a good time, and use their brains for more than replying to FB posts. read more

This is truly an escape reality! My kids and I have been there multiple times and I have also gone with adult friends! They have multiple rooms and it is always challenging and fun! It doesn't matter the age! I highly recommend it!!! read more

I suggest not booking in advance. Made a reservation for myself and two kids. We ended up getting very sick. Rescheduled for two weeks later not thinking we would still be dealing with Covid. Business only allows you to reschedule once. So they get to keep my money. I have never been to an escape room but I will take my business elsewhere. read more

So much fun! I was visiting from out of state and I've done a couple escape rooms before, these guys were great. Went with my FIL and the puzzles were challenging but fun, office room was creative yet still holding to the show, and the hints (we only used 3!) were perfect, just a gentle shove in the right direction. Steve, Jim, and Kelly were great! Wonderful team dedicated to their craft. Stop by here for sure! read more

I went to Escape Reality last night with a group of 4 people. We did the Mafia room, and unfortunately "Almost Escaped." I've been to several escape rooms in town and this one was definitely challenging but definitely a good time. The employees were really friendly and fun which made the experience enjoyable. We paid $29 a person for a little over an hour but when you see the level of detail that goes into the room; you can understand the cost. It was a great thing to do with a group of friends as I've always done it as a team-building activity for work (which is a great thing to do too.) read more

What a fun time and such a perfect team building event! We had our team building event at Escape Reality and it was a blast! We did the puzzle rooms based on being a corporate spy! The staff is wonderful and really get into the act! We appreciated the adult beverages they offered. We also had fun with the wigs and hats which made our team photo truly memorable. I've been to other places that offer similar things but this place takes it to a whole new level of FUN!!! Thanks for everything! read more

We played "Clue Done It" and had a blast. The clues were intricate and well hidden, but simple enough to still be fun. We were able to escape with a moderate amount of time left. The employees were very helpful. read more

It was ok. The background noise was loud so we had trouble hearing the clues. It was a very small space for 4 people so I don't know how 8 would fit. All in all we'd do it again! read more

We had a fun family outing and did "The Office" room! The staff/owners were great and explained everything well, the puzzles were tough but hints along the way helped us from getting side-tracked. Some really good escape rooms here with some inventive puzzles. A couple of the rooms like the narcotics bust on Pablo Escobar has a clue or two that are blind guesses to figure out because there is no logical flow to the clues you get, but for the most part this is one of the better escape rooms around town. read more
