We rode two incredible horses named Mako and Zuto. These horses were giants, but surprisingly calm and easy to ride, even for beginners like us. One of the most unique and thrilling parts of the adventure was when the horses started to swim in the water. At first, it was a little intimidating, but Mercedes reassured us and once we relaxed, it was honestly so much fun! Gliding through the water on horseback is something you don't get to experience every day. Hands down this was the most amazing experience with horses I have ever had. I grew up around horses and my daughter is currently into horse riding. Every vacation we go on, we have to ride horses. When I found carousel sea horses, I knew we had to do this. Chrissy (our guide) was amazing and encouraged myself, my daughter and her best friend to have the best experience possible. She was amazing with us. Mercedes is such a sweetheart and has one amazing business. I had the pleasure of riding Ty (I may have fallen in love), my daughter rode Titan and her best friend rode Finn. We had an absolutely beautiful experience, start to finish! Communication was great when booking. Mackenzie called me to switch our days due to weather, instead of just canceling. We were so grateful to have been able to have the experience still. When we arrived they were very friendly and you could tell right away how much care they had for their horses. Chrissy was our tour guide and she was fantastic. Easy to talk to and it made the tour that much more fun. She took amazing photos as well! Memories that are now captured perfectly. if yore in the Bradenton Sarasota area and need a bucket list thing to do, highly recommend Carousel Sea Horses. Mercedes and her crew offer a top notch experience. We were greeted with warm smiles. They are located right near Anna Maria(another gem). The horses have water saddles. We wandered sling the shoreline for a few minutes and then into the waters of the gulf. The horses swam with pep and we stopped after about twenty minutes in shallow water. Our guide took photos of our groups and allowed us to stand up in the horses. We loved the sunset ride with Carousel Sea Horses yesterday! Riding these beautiful gentle giants into the sunset was a dream! Wonderful! We are a fit-but-70 couple, who rode only once decades ago. Owner and riding coach, Mercedes gave excellent initial instruction, and made sure we each felt ready to work with our horse. As we rode into deeper water, she checked to make sure we were OK with that, and gave tips on using reins and stirrups, etc. Mercedes clearly knows each of her horses, and genuinely cares about their wellbeing. this place was amazing!!! I went for my birthday and was the best decision I have ever made!! super friendly staff we stopped by when we saw them in the shore to see if we could book or get in while we were here on vacation, Mercedes the owner got us in that week and was super nice and helped us out with all the information we needed!! we came back for the ride 2 days later for the ride and got right in and saddled up!! we did a 90 minute ride all the way through the water!! It's a pity these horses destroy the protected Manatee seagrass habitat and make noise which disturbs the neighborhood. Here in Manatee county we spent millions of dollars over many years to save the endangered manatees in this special area. Then these invaders from out of town come here because they were kicked out of many other areas where they destroyed the natural habitat due to manure (poop) and trampling on the fragile seagrass. They used a loophole in the law to avoid the ordanance preventing them from hurting our endangered precious and beautiful manatees and other wildlife. read more

What a fun experience we had riding the horses on the beach and in the water! The communication after I booked online was very good. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and accomodating from the start. They are experienced and knowledgeable about horses and you can see how much they care for them. We went for a ride back in April and we absolutely loved every moment. The horses were magical and our guide, Chrissy, was awesome. She explained exactly how to guide the horses while both walking in the water and swimming. It was a definitely a work out but so incredibly fun. We even got to stand up for a photo and left with a ton of photos and videos that our guide took. Many of the horses are also current or retired trick horses so they have cool stories and are extremely well trained. I would recommend Carousel if you are in the Bradenton area!! read more

Mercedes was our guide, along with her helpers Aspen and Skyler. They were awesome spirit and vibes throughout the whole experience. I went with my daughter, and another family of 3. Mercedes can be a bit stern but that's a given with inexperience and her babies. We were able to see some dolphins at the end which was pretty sight, along with a great ride. I am older and was VERY hesitant to try this with my 3 much younger friends. I finally got on sweet Athenos but barely. We continued on for awhile and I made it maybe 3/4 of the trip and fell off!
