While in Nashville, we completed 16 rooms across four companies. Along with The Escape Game, Escape Experience sets the standard and ranks among one of the best facilities we have had the privilege of visiting. We did all three rooms offered at Escape Experience, genuinely enjoyed all three, and escaped two of them. We called ahead during the day on a weekday to inform the staff that we were hoping to walk in and do all three rooms. We were very happy to actually get someone on the phone (this is a common issue among Escape Rooms) and while the employee was slightly wary of walk-ins, he welcomed us over, informing us that if we came early we could get all three rooms in, just the two of us. We of course appreciate this flexibility and accommodating customer service. This facility is clean and has fairly decent street parking. If you are staying anywhere near downtown Nashville, it's walkable. Also a lot of good food and drink choices near by for your post-room debrief. The manager Spencer recommended the historic Woolworth's, which was an excellent choice for craft drinks, delicious burgers, and a very important piece of history: the Nashville sit-ins protesting segregation. Check it out. Our game masters and hosts Olin and Jared were both courteous, excited about Escape Rooms, and gave solid hints and/or nudges. Hints are requested through walkie talkie but show up typed on a screen. (Make sure to get your walkie talkie - we started one room without it and had to leave to track one down!) Luckily this place allows you to leave the room with no penalty - your clock simply keeps running. Now, to the rooms! Inheritance: Very hard, but very radical. Must do for Back to the Future fans. We started with Inheritance which was a super hard, but super fun room. This is their hardest room and the two of us didn't even come close to escaping. We never got really stuck, we just didn't have enough time for both of us to complete every task -- some puzzles were VERY time consuming. Therefore we recommend you bring a few of your friends to this one. As in all their rooms, the production value was baller. If you like Back to the Future, you will LOVE Inheritance. It also had some of our all-time favorite reveals. While all three rooms had excellent puzzle design, Inheritance was the strongest. This room IS family friendly. Vaccine: Super creepy, super fun. Must do for zombie fans. This room is very creepy but not at all scary (no jump-scares). There were some amazing production design elements in here as well - including a few more very cool reveals. The is some physicality required, including a requirement that all team members must be able to crawl through something, so keep that in mind when booking. This room has a gore factor (a very HANDS ON gore factor!) which may not be appropriate for some children. You begin in the dark, with only flashlights to guide you. There was one game malfunction which led us astray for a bit (a door opened before it was supposed to) but once again, overall puzzle design was very logical. C-Block: A unique (and awesome) take on a prison escape. Prison escape rooms are so much fun - especially when you get locked in separate cells. This one was no different, and our Escape Couple communication skills were put to the test. Without giving too much away, this room expanded to a wider prison experience which isn't something we've seen a lot of and really enjoyed. There was some insanely creative use of tech in this room. Once again, crawling is required for this room so keep that in mind if you have someone who is physically limited. Also once again, we had an issue where something opened before its time, leaving us to obsess over an unused tool. This room also had a BIG element of hunt and find, which isn't our favorite, but the room is still worth it. This room is family friendly. Icing on the cake - there are unique sticker prizes for each room you escape! We LOVE this! In short, don't miss all three of these rooms if you are in Nashville. Escape Experience really is a great "Escape Experience!" The Escape Couple

We did the c-block room and had so much fun! The escape room was very well designed and laid out. The game master did give us some extra clues to help us get out and did not penalize us for them. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return!

Three of us played C block for our first ever escape room challenge. We weren't sure what to expect but the hosts and challenges exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be doing more escape rooms.

10/10. Would recommend! Thanks, Will!

We played Vaccine and it was SO SATISFYING. The room is a really engaging design, in the story you've found a small abandoned cabin, and in the room you really feel like you have! There's a ton to touch and look at and I thought the puzzles in this room were especially satisfying. I've played a bunch of rooms all over and I felt this one specifically asked me to think about things in challenging ways. Our game guide was Will and he was great! Looking forward to trying C-block sometime.

You are forced to have strangers in your group and 2. The game master is in the room with you. I can't even give a full honest review of the puzzles because there were 4 other people (whom I didn't know) in my group and they didn't share the clues they found. So most of the time, I was looking for things and had no idea where in the game we were. As far as the puzzles I was a part of, some didn't work properly. As in, we got the clue, executed the correct thing, but our box didn't open, and the game master had to fix it - cutting into our time. Another clue wasn't pre-set when we walked in the room and the nerf gun we were supposed to use was "jammed" upon finding it and took almost a full 2 minutes to fix. Additionally, being a game master, it is part of the job (and game) to give leading clues without giving a lengthy explanation or giving it away completely. I absolutely hate doing escape rooms with 6 people, it is too crowded and most of the game is spent chasing someone else's train of thought. This is definitely on my list of "won't go back" escape rooms. Disappointed, because it was my boyfriend's first one. Not a great introduction for a first timer, I'll likely have a difficult time convincing him they're actually fun in the future.

BEST HALLOWEEN FAMILY FUN SCARE NIGHT!!! No other place I've been to has such an AMAZINGLY SPOOKY…read moreatmosphere. The twisted, broken trees that remain from the 2024 tornado give a vibe that is indescribable! Perfect for getting you prepared! Instead of standing in line for hours for your turn.... I love how you simply receive a group number and tickets, get some DELICIOUS food, then choose to either relax by a campfire, get pictures in all their coolest photo prop areas, watch videos on a huge projection screen, or just enjoy the night while waiting for your turn to enter. The zombies...OH MY!! I wasn't expecting to get scared before entering, but when you see extremely realistic looking zombies creeping up behind you or crawling out of a casket towards you...need I say more!!! With heart pounding, heightened senses, just entering the barn gets you holding your breath...each room different, never knowing what's lurking around the corners! You can't hold the screams in. Just when you think it couldn't get scarier after exiting the barn, you continue on the SCARIEST trail that goes deep in the dark, twisted woods full of surreal hair raising surprises. You hear the echo's from other groups screaming in terror all along the trail and you know something is ahead but you don't know where!!! Definitely #1 in my book and looking forward to coming back!!!

We wanted to do something unique with a group of adults to celebrate some friends and one of the members of our group suggested this experience. I went in with zero spoilers and baseline expectations. The entire interactive show is about 30 minutes and you're guided with a live host. The games that you play change each time making this potentially a repeatable experience. We had a lot of fun just being loud, silly and leaning in to the game show elements. Our host was witty and energetic which really contributed to the vibes. With a group of 5 we played against another team which we were hesitant about at first but ended up being so fun. It's pretty expensive for what you get overall and I would love to see some of the games grow in scale. There was a building challenge that used kids foam play blocks and a Plinco board which also wasn't super impressive. We also wrote answers on a white board and had sticker name tags. I would have loved to be able to use a buzzer or see some more tech incorporated for the price. The big wheel was a scene stealer though and made great photos at the end. My friend mentioned the wheel wasn't as grand when she did this experience the first time so it looks like they may still be doing improvements. One more thing to note is I wouldn't do this experience with small kids. I think maybe 5th grade and up could enjoy this but it's really loud and a lot of trivia so keep that in mind if you're thinking about doing this as a family. At the end we left wanting more which is the goal with a spot like this! I think the same company owns the escape room next door so if you're looking to continue the fun that could be an option.
