My mother (86 yr old) and I had a 90-minute facial which included THREE add ons this past Tuesday. I asked my esthetician what 3 add ons does she recommend according to my skin and I got 3 recommendations along with the complementary hand moisturizer. After the facials I asked my mother what 3 add ons did she receive and she didn't know. I started describing the ones that I received and none of them sounded familiar. I called to find out which ones she received and I was told that they would call me back once the esthetician was finished with her client. I didn't receive a call until the following morning. According to the lady that I spoke with, it didn't seem like my mom received 3 add ons, but instead she received other "stuff". It was mentioned that my mother fell asleep. The lady over the phone made it seem that since my mother fell asleep, the esthetician decided to do what she wanted to. If THREE add ons are included, the esthetician should discuss that in the beginning prior to clients falling asleep. We enjoyed the facials but I didn't like that I paid $150 and didn't receive the advertised services. We booked our appointments a week or so in advance for the same time, 6pm. I received a phone call a day or so prior to our appointment asking if one of us could come in at 5:30 due to a room not being available. I felt that this wasn't true and they were trying to get another person booked and our time was the only time available. Would I go back, maybe! My mother didn't get what she paid for, a 90 minute facial with THREE add ons. I don't care that the esthetician decided to give her other services. My mother was visiting from the East Coast and was looking forward to the light therapy, dermabrasion and gel mask. My recommendation to all clients, ask what add ons you're receiving prior to getting started since the esthetician doesn't ask. read more

I recently went for a 90-minute deep tissue massage, and it was a fantastic experience. The room and bed were super clean and felt new. The ambiance and music were great. While the walls were a bit thin, there wasn't much outside noise, so it was still peaceful. The check-in process was quick and easy, making the whole experience smooth and efficient. They have a small, welcoming waiting room with refreshments if you want to relax before your appointment, but you can also arrive just five minutes beforehand for a quick, seamless visit. Under California consumer protection laws, businesses are required to follow the policies they outline and since I was present and ready for my appt, the fee does not appear to align with the terms listed on their site nor the booking terms. I couldn't have written this review fast enough. First of all, as a massage therapist myself, I am thoroughly impressed!! The staff was amazing, office was adorable and clean, and the massage was sensational!! I literally called this morning at 10:30am. I have been over worked and in so much pain so I wasn't sure if I wanted a deep tissue massage or lymphatic drainage for inflammation. When I call the office, I was greeted by Cindy who gave me her recommendation after I gave her the rundown of how I was feeling. I was able to go in and get a 90min massage at 11:20am. I had the absolute privilege of working with Fern (Fernanda) and did the lymphatic drainage massage. She was kind, professional and has incredible pressure. I knew within the first 5 seconds that she's amazing and strong. I ended up having to use the restroom about four times throughout the massage because I had so much fluid built up. I give this place a 20 out of 10. I will definitely be returning and will absolutely refer my clients, friends, and family here as well. read more

Massages here, pretty good. Front desk staff and customer experience... trash. They rescheduled almost every appointment time I had and were incredibly rude when I pushed back. They insisted on collecting their cancellation fee even if you cancel due to an emergency. They have no sense of loyalty to repeat customers. There's a much better spot for a much better value 1 mile away in the Marina on Lincoln. Don't waste your money here. read more

I purchased a six back of laser hair removal sessions - I've had this done many times before at other places and thought I would try them out since they're down the street. Usually, hair will start to fall out and you notice less and less as the months go by.. however after multiple sessions here I've seen zero change... really regret purchasing that package. I recently went in for a hydrafacial. For my treatment I was asked to remove my two necklaces. These two necklaces are in remembrance of my late 13 and 14 year old dogs. They are made of gold. I shower in them, workout in them and never ever take them off. They are on my person at all times. After the treatment I forgot them and left. When I called, the necklaces were no where to be found. The only time I had taken them off was for this treatment and now they are magically missing. This is extremely heartbreaking that this happened to me. I feel that honesty is an important quality to have in an establishment. I obviously will not be returning. read more

What a dream! Was able to schedule deep tissue same day over the phone and street parking was super easy to find. Front desk was friendly and helpful, the spa is modern, cozy, cute, and clean. Asat was great at deep tissue, always checked in on me with pressure, and worked out some tight spots on my body. Scheduled a 90 mins massage and the service was 65 mins and when I mentioned it to the masseuse she said she started 5 mins earlier than I said she did. Either way it was not 90 mins. Then I go to the receptionist to let her know I booked a 90 mins and my massage was 65 mins she didn't acknowledge what I said and just said the total. I asked her if she was still charging me for the 90 mins and she said yes. I still paid and tipped but left not feeling so great. Received a electronic gift certificate to this place , the neighborhood is extremely cute with a park across the street , the receptionist was warm and hospitable. I went for a 90 min Swedish and Alex my masseuse provided one of the best massages I've ever had, he was instinctual and methodical with working on the tightness in my back and kept checking to make sure I was okay. My only gripe were the walls are paper thin and I could occasional hear people laughing next door and some few minor banging and movement of machinery , I think this could easily be solved by some noise / sound canceling machines , this definitely will not deter me from requesting to see Alex again. read more

Booked a massage and received a confirmation appointment. I showed up at my appointment time and they had no massage therapist or my appointment and the front door was locked! Finally a receptionist came to unlock the door. Instead of being apologetic and trying to re book me or make it right once and I showed my actual real booking, the receptionist was condescending and told me I should contact Yelp. I told her as a business if they are using booking via Yelp they need to figure out why it sends confirmations that do not show up in their system and not place that on the customer to solve. Also if you are going to make it right, maybe just call your therapist instead of asking if they wanted me to call to her when the therapist who just left to go home and you announce it. I felt like the receptionist had zero remorse or care. I used the method that was available to book an appointment and received written email that it was confirmed. I guess you guys do not care about customers, particularly ones that want to give you business. Just really disappointed as I chose your business over many others and have referred others to you. No more after the way I was treated. You made me feel like an idiot. Escape Day Spa seems like an appropriate title.. Escape from taking accountability for your customers and escaping by locking your doors 40 mins before posted closing time... nice! read more

Natassja is incredibly responsive and very professional. I told her about my shoulder surgery and how I had rotator cuff surgery done a few years ago and that I needed her to open up the joint. She gave me a deep tissue massage that was incredibly helpful for increased mobility. I have a lot of scar tissue so she was able to work through that. Of course, I knew it was going to be painful because it is very difficult to break up all of that scar tissue. She then went to work on the other parts of my body and did so with just amazing feminine energy. You felt completely taken care of in her hands , she studied Reiki and you can feel that her training and her technique is multidimensional. I feel very special to be under her care. I know she's not a doctor but if you are recovering from anything medical or if you just want a really high-quality massage from somebody who knows what they're doing , I can't recommend Natassja enough. This location is a bit nicer, and Natassja is currently more available at this location. read more
