I did a lot of research on artificial turf companies servicing the Brushy Creek area and after some shopping around, came across Umesh and KG Lawn Care. After receiving some ridiculous quotes from some of the "bigger" artificial turf companies, offering a lower grade of turf for a substantially higher price, I went forward with the project with Umesh and KG Lawn Care. Umesh took on my project of installing approximately 1000 sqft of artificial turf, metal edging, and black star gravel around some cypress trees. Roughly a month before starting, I expressed to Umesh my desire to have the project completed in time for our family's annual crawfish boil, which he assured me he would fulfill. I can't say enough positive things about Umesh, Lucas, and their crew. As we neared the date of my family's party, Umesh assured me that he would push to make the deadline, even with unpredictable central Texas weather. Umesh not only kept to his promise in finishing the project in time for our party, but also knocked it out of the park! The artificial turf looks incredible and instantly became my daughter's favorite place to play. Umesh and his crew put a level of detail into the project in ensuring every aspect was perfect for my family. As pleased as I am with the project itself, the most noteworthy aspect I want to highlight in this review is how Umesh does business. In a world where so many are looking to cut corners, charge more, and provide less, I found that Umesh is a man of immense integrity who keeps to his word. Umesh delivered on his promise to ensure my yard was immaculate for my family's party, but most notably, his promise on pricing. A day before our turf was set to be installed, Umesh was notified by the turf company that the turf we picked out was no longer available (with zero warning). Umesh was forced to upgrade the turf at a difference of nearly $800. I offered to split the difference with Umesh but was told: "Nah man, it's all good. I like to keep my word and pricing. It's not your fault." This really struck me that Umesh was willing to eat $800 in order to keep his word with me on pricing. KG Lawn Care exceeded my expectations and truly helped me complete my dream back yard - The quality of work and character of Umesh will have me recommending him and his company to all my family and friends!

He has a partner over the phone help translate between English to Spanish which was fine by me. I showed him the front and backyard needed lawn mowing and leaf/debris cleanup, every two weeks, he quoted $70 for my home, which was fair to me. I asked for the rose bushes to be trimmed on occasion and to fill in bare spots in the back yard with mulch which he quoted at $30 extra. Fair enough to me. He takes Zelle payment if you don't have cash on hand. Superb! At the end of the job he asked if he could put up a sign designating his work, which was fine by me. I gave him a $20 tip too.

****Do not use this company**** After the first mowing…read moreservice, they ran over the path on the side of my house and their mower got stuck. A few details about the path, 24"×24" concrete pavers surrounded by small river pebbles. I've had issues in the past with the pebbles erroding during rainy days so I "dry poured" a thin layer of concrete so the pebbles would stay in place. You'll notice the damage they caused in the attached photos. Their mower also compacted some pavers and left deep tire skid marks. The owner came out to attempt a fix but later stated in an email that he can't do anything about the concrete because he said that the concrete was of "poor quality". Well, I guess thats my fault for there mower getting stuck, right? In other photos below you'll notice some areas of the path were completely ignored for several weeks. Apparently, you literally have to ask them to weed eat everything because the pick and choose what areas they want to weed eat. Sounds reasonable, right? At the beginning of this summer, while shopping for lawn services, Troops was definitely the most expensive. But I though maybe with the extra cost would come with more quality. I chose Troops specifically because I wanted to support veteran owned companies, even though it was most expensive. Then a few weeks later I got a message from them saying there would be a price increase. I decided to stick with them regardless. And now yesterday, I get another message with yet another price increase. This along with poor quality and property damages makes me want to write this and hope others will read this so they don't make the same mistake in hiring this company like I did.
