We had our photos done and my father went over near the fire pit and struck up a conversation again with Anthony and from the little he told me he's incredibly knowledgeable about Christmas trees! He also has a great sense of humor joking about how he convinced my dad to get his photo taken- appreciate that Anthony! Although we didn't purchase a live tree this year, I would not hesitate to come back to Anthony's when I'm in the market for one and I highly recommend. Easy to find with flags marking the driveway, large area for parking, friendly staff, sleds for you to pull your tree after you choose the perfect one and the staff will prep and pack your tree. So, they have a wagon that carts people out to the trees. It was a nice little touch. When you get out to the trees they have some handsaws that you can take to cut your tree. If you don't want to cut it yourself, then you put a little tag on the tree and they will cut and haul it for you. They had pre-cut concolors, which is what I wanted to buy. The owner brings the concolors in from someplace in Springwater. But my family wanted to hack one down, so we went out to the trees. They have white and blue spruce trees, and I think Douglas Fir. We cut a blue spruce which perfectly fit into our corner. The majority of the trees appear to have grown naturally. They don't seem to do a lot of shaping of them throughout the year. They are still pretty and natural looking. They wrap the trees in the baling stuff and even help load and tie the tree to your car. There's a small shop that they sell homemade wreaths in and some crafts. They also had some cookies and hot chocolate there. A great touch after a cold trip to the trees. Price... very reasonable. I think ours was $35. STILL wish we got the precut concolor though. They hold their needles so well. Maybe they will plant a couple for the upcoming years!

We had a great experience at Jurek this morning. We were undecided between cutting our own and…read moregetting a precut. Staff was kind when we walked in and explained each process. For those that do cut their own, there are saws to borrow and even a tractor ride that comes around on a 15 min loop. We ended up finding a 7.5 foot Fraser Fir and it cost around $100. Once we decided on the tree, a friendly employee came over and tagged it for us. We paid and were able to pull our car around where they had already taken a fresh cut and some low branches off. Then, they wrapped the tree and tied it to our car roof. Great service and a quick morning! We will be back!

They seem smaller than most farm stores, but they have harder to find items. They also have a random display of greeting cards, but the cards are amusing and different. I've bought a lot from there on various trips. It's hard to find good pug cards! The staff is great. They leave me alone until I want something. I like to shop by myself without being bothered. But when I do need assistance, they are very friendly.
