My most recent garden problem was finding a nicely shredded mulch that didn't leave behind big chunks at the end of each growing season. Lavocat's to the rescue! They have a wonderful hardwood fine-shredded mulch that's just perfect. If you're like me, and have a smaller garden - bagged mulch is what we need - whole truck loads just don't work. Thanks to my partner, who has better instincts than mine. I would drive past it, thinking this location wasn't worth stopping. I won't write much about Weeks' Nursery. If you are looking for something more than just buying plants, be sure to visit them. A few times, the whole experience made my senses feel very close to magical moments. Considering it's prime Main Street location, I expected the prices to be jacked up a bit. We were pleasantly surprised. Instead of a helpful or informative response, I was met with a dismissive tone and a lack of willingness to engage in the conversation. I completely understand that businesses may not want to share sourcing details, but the way it was communicated came across as unnecessarily guarded and unwelcoming. As a customer who is genuinely interested in plants and learning more, I expected a more respectful and informative interaction. There is a big difference between setting boundaries and making customers feel shut down. Unfortunately, this experience felt more like the latter. I hope this is something that can be improved, because customer interaction matters just as much as the products being sold.

When I talked to John the owner, he offered me 1 5 foot pine tree. When I mentioned that wouldn't fill in the bare space left by his mistake, and that I wanted the open space filled in. With whatever would cover the area he suggested I call an attorney and walked away from me. I've since filed BBB, CFPB, NYS Attorney general, and complaints with Erie County. Next step is court. I just want this man to fix his mistakes. Let's see what a judge has to say. Anyone looking for work done might wanna look somewhere else.
