This place is so well established, and so well run I don't know how anyone could give a bad review. Our waitstaff was charming, funny, and explain the menu thoroughly and gave us enough time to make our choice. The food came out and it was delicious, I would come back and try three or four different things on the menu for sure. The place is roomy nobody crowds you into a seat, the bar area looks so nice that I just want to come back and have drinks. Any drawback that I would say, my friends did order old-fashions and they were a little bit pricey, but that is probably more our fault for not asking more questions. read more

Ambience anyone??? The Christmas Eve buffet table was set up in the middle of the bar section, surrounded by distracting TV's playing goofy shows. We sat in the dining area but had to go to the bar area for the food. Tru Tv network was on with some inappropriate sexual pranks not suitable for children. I wanted to go to Ernie's for years and finally got the opportunity. The food was good but I thought it was over priced for what you got. We got seated out on the patio (which looks like they roll down the sides and it becomes an indoor space during the winter months). It was really nice and the weather was beautiful so I enjoyed sitting out there. Our waitress was very good , very helpful and kept my water filled. They had a menu of specials and the prices for those meals were about twice as much as the meals on the regular menu, so I decided to stick with the regular menu. I got the Lemon Chicken and when they brought it I started to eat it and all of a sudden a bug came crawling out from under the chicken. I quickly called over the waitress who apologized took my meal away and said they would make me up a new one. The manager came out and apologized and said in the 20 years he's worked there that has never happened. I might've been turned off completely other than I was so hungry I couldn't wait to get another plate of food without a bug in it!! My friend ordered the fish and chips and he said the french fries were salted way too much. He gave me a couple of french fries to try and I literally had to dust off the salt before I could eat it. My placemat was covered with salt from dusting off one french fry. It was crazy!! Other than that, he enjoyed his coleslaw and the fish he said was cod and it was very good. The thing is, it was fish and chips. Why did it have to cost 18.95 when you probably can get the same thing across the street at a family restaurant for 9.95. If you are looking for a nice patio area for dining or drinks, consider Ernie's. They have a huge covered and uncovered patio and banquet room that you can reserve for private parties. They also have a nice covered bar area with roll up garage doors and multiple televisions so you can watch the game. The inside portion of the restaurant features nice decor and plenty of seating. It also has a massive indoor bar area. The smells from the kitchen made me drool as I walked by in my way to the restroom. I imagine this restaurant is a great place for a romantic dinner. Nice white linen tablecloths and place settings. They also have a wine room you can reserve that features more than 1200 bottles of wines from around the world. Their sign says they are a mediterranean restaurant but the bar and patio menu is american food like steak, pastas, burgers, salads, chicken wings, pizzas, and daily fresh seafood etc. They have great food specials, even a $20 all you can eat fried chicken dinner in Sunday's and Prime Rib Thursday's. They have quite a list of delicious sounding desserts, a specialty cocktail menu, and daily food specials They also offer a happy hour menu. We had a burger and a pizza and then tried the apple pie and rice pudding. My husband loves the burger which was a mix of different meats. My pizza was detroit style and very good with a nice mix of fresh tomatoes, basil, wisconsin cheese and balsamic vinegar. The sauce was to die for. My apple pie was a bit more tart than I prefer but it was still good. The vanilla ice cream cut the tartness. My husband loved the rice pudding and said it reminded him of his mother's. Prices are a bit high $12 burger and $15 pizza. Quality of food is great though. We had a perfect meal with great ambience and highly recommend this restaurant. The bar area was filthy and whoever was behind the bar seemed like they were tossed back there with zero experience. Great place to go if you feel like you missed out on catching COVID 19. It seems clear that the owner of this establishment cares far more about his finances than the health of the general public. The owner is suing the state, claiming lost revenue during the pandemic. Making a big deal of the lawsuit on TV and hosting a press conference for an airing of grievances that would make Frank Constanza proud. Too bad he can't sue the state over lost revenue caused by years of 1 star Yelp reviews. They are pretty easy to find and definitely predate 2020. It seems like this is a far more likely culprit for the current state of his business than the pandemic. Don't know what the concern about 25% max capacity limit is....look at the photos, doesn't seem like this place approached that number, even in the best of times. I've gone out of my way to support local restaurants throughout this horrible situation. Ernie's will not be one of them. read more

We attended the Thanksgiving buffet 2024 and had the absolute worst service I've ever had. We had to get our own silverware and water, the waitress was busy talking to one table the entire time and completely ignored our requests for additional napkins and refills on water, the food was average and tepid at best. To get to the Buffet line you had to make your way through the throngs of people waiting to be seated standing in the way. The waitress never cleared the table and we had to ask the manager to just obtain the bill. We will never be back. read more

Egads! A hard pass on returning to this place. So many things wrong, ugh. 1st and foremost - food safety! Then prices! Then lies! Then ambiance. Bad enough I had to report them to the Health Dept. Walk up to the place at 4 pm, and it looks closed. I proceed to walk past 2 men putting up St. Patrick's decorations, and one grunted at me "Um, do you need help?" - Why yes Mr. Grumpy Pants, I'm looking to partake in your Happy Hour. He points me to the bar. Ambiance I arrive in the bar and sit in a corner booth. I am then accosted with 2 different songs (yes - they had a jukebox playing 1 song, and another song belting out from somewhere else) then 3 different TV stations with their volume turned all the way up. I felt like it was going to set me into seizing, it was so overwhelming. I complained to my server, and she said it bothers them too, but that is how management likes it. Lies I ask to see the happy hour menu, and my server says there isn't one. I said that we had called the night before and confirmed happy hour is from 4-6, and there is a snip-it on the bar menu that says "Happy Hour Specials from 4-6". My server goes and talks to the bartender and comes back and says $3.50 Jack, Stoli & Bacardi. I said, shots? Drinks? Can I get a Stoli Martini? What about food specials. Yes, yes, No & No is what I got in return. What? No food specials? No thank you. I asked for a water while I waited, and my server brought me one from the bar. I tasted it, and almost gagged. I asked why can't I have a bottle/carafe that I see at other tables? She said it's because management doesn't like/allow those to be served in the bar area. So I moved to the dining area to escape the acoustic onslaught, the gross water, and virtually non-existent happy hour menu. Food Safety In the dining area, they have a big butcher block with all sorts of vegetables and a bowl of Feta cheese in liquid. I wondered what that was for. Found out when I saw the table next to me order a salad, someone came out from the back and started cutting stuff up with their bare hands. This is against the food code! Plus they didn't even wash their hands either. Gross! Then they top the salad with this room temperature Feta cheese. I was there for 4 hrs - catching up with a dear friend - and not once did I see anyone try to keep the Feta cold, clean the butcher block, clean their hands, or throw out the warm Feta. Disgusting! Price I warned my friend not to get anything with Feta on it, so we got a flat bread and 3 martinis each, and our bill was $80 before tip! We each spent almost $50 on 3 drinks and a piece of pizza. Very disappointed! I agree with the other review, our 1st clue should have been the near empty parking lot on a Friday night. The food was mediocre at best and did not match the price tag. This is a bar and grill trying to be a nice restaurant. What Mediterranean restaurant doesn't serve pita or fresh thickness bread with saganaki? We were very underwhelmed with our experience. As a Thanksgiving dinner, I expect delicious turkey. I actually found that the turkey was disgusting. I wasn't alone. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when everyone at our table took a bite of their turkey - we all just looked around, rolled our eyes, and forced the bite down the hatch. That was the only bite of turkey that I took that day. In fact, I thought that the ham was pretty terrible as well. Honestly, I would have rather given up my entire day to cook the dinner myself, I would have rather saved LOTS of money, and actually enjoyed the food when I ate it. First, no idea why it's called "Mediterranean Room" but then I have only been there three times and two were events not menu ordering. Ok, so we went for thanksgiving dinner and I can only call it a shit show. They clearly overbooked, we didn't get our table until 30 minutes after our reservation and the best part....the split our group into two separate tables-Happy Thanksgiving. It was buffet which I don't do so I really don't know what the food line looked like, my wife made my plate-don't judge. The turkey seemed to be processed but was okay. Let me go to the stuffing, my family and my wife's family are stuffing maestros so I rarely eat restaurant stuffing but again, the wife made my plate. That stuffing, when compared to three grandma's and two mothers stuffings that I love, was the best stuffing I have ever eaten. The waitress said it was made on-site and gave me some to take home. The service was pretty good, overall the place was a madhouse but the servers really did keep it together and provided service with a smile. We just got carryout from here tonight. They have got it DOWN. I ordered the ribs. They were amazing. Fall off the bone and so flavorful. The sauce was a perfect compliment. We choose to come here out of sheer convenience. It is located right next to the hospital, which makes it a fairly central location. Anyone sti working can pop over at any time to meet our group. They have always accommodated our groups even when larger than expected. The service is so so.... It seems to be hit or miss. Obviously, the bigger the group the more of an issue it can be. We had a group of about 11 this night. Heather was spot on with the service tonight. Very quick and attentive. She even brought our a pitcher of ice tea for someone in our group. The food is always very good. It is a bit overpriced in my opinion. They try to cater to a more upscale group, however they aren't in an upscale area. For a while it was a cougar market in the evenings. That's where everyone over 45 went to hook up. Not sure that's still the case. It's a perfect spot for parties though. There's a very nice patio and a nice screened in room as well. There's also a banquet hall in back where I have gone for various functions. Parking lot is large but full of pot holes. I only ordered a soda at this visit. I was kind of surprised they didn't just comp it. $2.54 ...I could have gotten a happy hour beer for that! Probably cost them $.04 to give to me. Stuff like that is just good customer service, particularly for regulars.... Just my opinion. read more

About a little over a week ago we were just up the street from Ernie's and decided we would give them a try. We had an appointment somewhere so we needed to make sure there wasn't a long wait. So we called and asked if there was a wait. "Just two people? Yeah we can get yas seated." Ok so 3 minutes later we walk in and she says "go ahead and sit at the bar for a moment and I'll let you know when the table is ready". I was a little miffed by that but sat at the bar to be patient. However 30 minutes went by until we got seated. I'd also like to mention how odd the bar area is. As shown in the picture there are several jars that are all sitting around the end of the bar like there was supposed to be this big display or something. Except they were all empty. Totally empty. It looked really stupid and felt like the bar area was not supposed to be open. But indeed they had a few tables in there with customers at them. So, we finally get sat and I inform the server the time that we needed to be somewhere so as not to waste time getting drinks, leave and come back for the order (especially because we still had our drinks from the bar). We ordered the crab cakes to split. At the same time we also put our main course order in. Thankfully the crab cakes came out soon but unfortunately were not great, but no complaints. At this point the plate never got cleared and we didn't see the server but maybe once. Another 40 minutes went by without anything coming to the table. It took me nearly having a fit just to flag her down to tell her that we needed to go. All of a sudden the manager comes out with plates. I told him we needed to go. He replies "Sorry, I just found out" then asks if we still want it. I just had to look at him with astonishment and say "We have to leave right now so no." Then it takes the server another while to even get back with the bill and we could see her all the whole time not even attempting to be quick about it. Thank goodness we at least had a few bites of crab cakes to hold us over until later that evening after the appointment or else I would have probably wrote some lengthy, overly wordy tirade about the whole experience on Yelp. I am sad that this place has deteriorated in service, style and food. This year it was just plain sad! We have been coming here for the last 4 or 5 years for Thanksgiving dinner. I was super excited about our reservation! Except they didn't live up to previous years. Staff left a lot to be desired the food was cold, the ham was almost a greenish bluish color, the turkey was meh. They rushed it for sure! No decorations, no classy festive feels! People showed up in sweat pants and baseball caps. I don't know,I used to like Ernies because of the classy feel when it's all decorated and festive for the holidays...well this year it felt like it was open season on a free for all Buffett! A dress code should absolutely be required especially for a holiday. I think this year Ernies blew it with trying to maximize their profits from previous years! QUALITY NOT QUANTITY when will businesses get that? Ugh, sadly this year is my last year for Ernie's on Thanksgiving! For the price, and the tip for a subpar server to bring you water um no thanks!
