I love how it also feels like an easy hiking trail with lots of greenery trees and plants to see. We walked around the park and it led up to a beautiful view of Los Angeles with the sunset. It was truly so peaceful and enjoyable throughout the trail. I loved every bit of. It was also super clean - no trash to be seen so I am so happy the community does their part in taking care of this park. I am definitely going to come back here and take my parents.

The big payoff is at the top--the views of Downtown LA and Dodger Stadium are absolutely beautiful and worth the climb. The only downside is the restrooms. I personally wouldn't use them since there are often homeless people around that area, but it doesn't take away from how enjoyable the trail is overall. If you're looking for a quick hike with gorgeous city views and a spot that's not overly crowded, Ascot Hills is definitely worth checking out.

My entire month of July was spent here with my community, and I loved every single minute of it.The concerts start at 7:00 p.m., but I was always the first one there since I live the closest. I'd show up with my folding chairs, claim a big spot, spread out blankets, and save plenty of room for everyone. Then I'd wait for my friends to arrive. You know the evening is officially about to begin when they play Downey's official city song! I had no idea Downey even had a song, but it's absolutely adorable and always puts everyone in a great mood.Our final concert was extra special--we had a grand total of 22 people at our little gathering! Every week turned into a giant community potluck with everyone bringing something delicious to share. One weekend my friends even surprised me with a birthday party, complete with a decorated table and cake. It made me feel so loved, and it's a memory I'll treasure forever.There's something so peaceful about sitting on a blanket, listening to live music, chatting with friends, and watching the sun slowly set over the park. It's a reminder that some of the best nights don't have to be expensive--they just need good people and good music.The concession stand offered the basics--hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, pie, and drinks. I do wish there were a few more food options, but maybe that's something they can expand on next year. Before the concerts, there were booths from local businesses like Lazy Dog, the Downey Theatre, dental offices, and other community organizations offering fun giveaways, games, and raffle prizes. We never won the raffle tree, but we sure had fun trying every week!One of my favorite parts was running into so many familiar faces. It truly felt like the entire community came together to enjoy summer evenings at the park.The only downside? July is over way too fast! I wish the concert series lasted longer because one month just isn't enough.Thank you to everyone who makes these concerts happen each year. Until next summer...

It has a dirt track and a bunch of exercise equipment along the track. The grass was green and they have public restrooms. They also have a small patio area. They have a small area you can grill some food and a couple of picnic tables. They also have a kiddo area to play. We planted 31 trees in the park. We got a quick training and then went out to do the digging and planting. It was a good experience and I'm happy the people of Huntington Park will be able to enjoy the new trees in their park.

This is a great park with a bathroom near the playground, swing in and check it out. The gorgeous flora alone is worth the visit.

There's street parking but watch out for the fly balls. Some trees for shades. Dirty and nasty bathrooms. The fields are pretty much dirty fields. :( Luckily there's a YMCA next door which brightens up Maywood Park a bit. Not such a good park. Neighbor's sketchy as well.

They offer many activities for all ages, they have a gym available for the community, and they have a head start for children ages 3-5 with a capacity of 20 children. The reason why I come here is to enjoy some alone time. In the mornings you will see people walking/jogging around the park. In the afternoons you'll have kids with their parents in the playground and sometimes in the evenings you'll see some softball games.
