This outfit is despicable, deplorable & abusive beyond description. Instead, they can't bother to figure out what 2 simple gutter pieces cost, & wanting to fill the holes w/hydraulic cement (insane), they just list a labor charge, & ask for 10% down, labor & material billed daily, & a credit card on file, I called them to speak to a total incompetent who then hands it over to Dick Hoerr, who called me a "social idiot", and a "moron", & that he'd never do a job for me. As if I would EVER consider a contractor who would call me filthy names & doesn't even know how to do the job. You don't pour 20-30 ft. of hydraulic cement in the holes - you cover the holes with rubber or aluminum & then coat that w/a small amount of hydraulic cement. Then, in his answer to one of the numerous negative reviews, he writes: "We are the highest rated handyman company on Angie's in the United States and we are located here in Chicago. I personally live in the Chicagoland Area. Simply put this is one of those landlords that attempts to beat down labor after they work on his home in an effort to maximize his profit. Since then, he has been harassing my tenants and me, threatening to call the city inspector to come to my buildings, sending my tenants ideas how they can sue me trying to force a Tennent to go on a date with him for smoke and drink in a very aggressive way, and many more... He seems to be very desperate for work and claimed that no one wants to hire him and kept asking me for more work, and when I said, I'm not willing to work with him, he get upset and start threatening again. I would stay away from this guy and will never let him in my house or any of my properties. Alex responded first, and was the only contractor who provided a specific quote for the work (everyone else sought to schedule time to review the project before providing a quote). Alex's reviews were pretty good and the quote was reasonable, so I chose to attempt to move forward with him. I sent him pictures of the project (which is small and very straightforward), and he changed the amount of the quote (warning sign #1). I chose not to dispute the revised quote and attempted to move forward with Alex. He said that he could do the job on Thursday and would text me on Wednesday night to provide a timeframe. Wednesday night came and went and I received no text from Alex (warning sign #2). On Thursday, I reached out to Alex, stating that I guess the work wasn't going to happen today. Alex replied that "a pipe had burst" and he apologized, but provided nothing further in the way of rescheduling (warning sign #3). At 7pm that evening, I received a text from Alex stating that he could get to me in 1-2 hours. Again, this was at 7pm. I thought this really odd that he wanted to, out of the blue, come to my apartment building to do the work this late in the day. I asked "tonight?". He responded at 8:49pm saying he had just finished his job and was looking to come by - at 9:00 at night! I told him it was too late and stated that I needed some advance notice (again, I live in an apartment building) (warning sign #4). The next day, Friday, I received a random text from Alex saying he needed to cancel with me, meaning he was letting go of my job. I told him that was fine because I had already moved on and I also advised him that the review would not be a good one. To this he replied "Broo". "Don't be like that." What happened here is that Alex likely felt that my job was too small for him, and he didn't want to waste his time on a smaller job when he had perhaps booked other, larger jobs. If that was the case, he could have told me this sooner, instead of LYING ABOUT IT, and stringing me along, having me end up wasting a week. So, this is a cautionary tale. It's about integrity. If that's something you value, then you should really think twice about working with this guy. This is not a review about the quality of Alex's work, but his character, as we never got as far as the work part. And, Alex, if you dispute any of what I stated here, I will update this review with screenshots of the text string.

I have long since made an appointment with another company but I just wanted to let others know that their response time is not the best. Their work might make up for it but I'll never know.
