Dr. MacDonald is an amazing provider. I'm so sad the Roseville office closed and she moved an hour away. She was very kind and helpful in my trying to conceive journey a few years back. She was open to giving me options we could try in office before looking into fertility clinics. When I subsequently got pregnant and had my baby she was the physician in the hospital checking on me after birth to discharge. She was the one who showed me how to get up and down safely out of my bed with my c section pain (it was busy and my nurses hadn't had time). I wish she had done my c section as I had a different doctor who was on call, but was so thankful for her help in the aftermath. I would recommend her to all my friends and family. THE BEST OB Doctor! Dr Erin MacDonald is so patient, gentle, informative, caring, sweet and takes the time to answer every question. She gives the best care. You can feel how important it is for her to make you feel comfortable regarding asking questions and expressing concerns. She's also always answering questions online with so much details. I established care with Dr. MacDonald in January of this year and I'm so thankful to have found such a dedicated, caring, knowledgeable, and throughout doctor. In my short time of knowing her I unfortunately have had some issues so I have needed to her more than one should. Without going into too much detail, I feel grateful to have found a doctor that truly cares about her patients and takes her time with each of them. Her appointments do run long and yes her schedule is hard to get into but once you are with her one on one you feel like you are her only patient. She is never in a rush to leave you. It's impossible to get an appointment here. I FINALLY got one, waited almost 3 months for it (but ok), changed all my appointments to make sure I can make it, went to my appointment just to find out that it was cancelled because the doctor had to be somewhere else... no voicemail left (although they claimed they did, I cannot see it in my voicemails... now that would be ok-stuff happens and I can understand it. You cannot plan everything especially 3 months ahead... although I was disappointed after waiting for so long to get in, I can understand... my problem is that when I tried to reschedule the first appointment available was over 2 months away... they didn't make ANY effort to make up for all the trouble and unreliability on their part... I asked if there's any way we can find something earlier as it was their cancellation and I already waited so long for this appointment but there was no interest on their part to make it work for me...how could I be sure that the appointment in 2 months will not be cancelled again? Also, I am not willing at this point to wait 5 months for my appointment and chance it knowing how unreliable this office is. To me it's very unprofessional and unacceptable . read more

It seems like this Dr. has major scheduling issues in their office. I've had an appointment booked for a while now, and they called and left a voicemail yesterday saying we may need to reschedule. I called back (it happens to be after hours) and my appointment was already cancelled. I've seen multiple reviews across different sites that this office constantly cancels and reschedules people. For that reason, I chose not to reschedule and will be selecting a different doctor through a different medical group. When wait times for appointments are already several months out this is extremely frustrating to have your appointments cancelled. It sounds like they're either overbooking, or have someone in their office who could use some training on scheduling procedures. Definitely not a good first impression. read more

My gynecologist retired. I am so pleased to have found Dr. Erin McDonald. A gynecological visit is seldom comfortable. I left my recent visit feeling so much better and looking forward working through my health issue with her. She is professional, warm and engaging as well as bright and thoughtful. My appointments have punctual and have never been rushed. My questions have been answered with explanations that are understandable and jargon free.
