About two or three months in I noticed a shimmy in the steering when the breaks were applied while going downhill and +40 mph. During routine tire swap, asked mechanic to look at rotors. He said breaks were in good shape but rotors were warped and to take it back to mechanic that replaced them as most mechanics have a year plus warranty for defective parts. NOPE not here at Barry's Automotive in New Windsor, NY. The Lady running the shop said their warranty is 3 months. I checked called three other repair shops; two were yon year and one said 2 years.

Called them after few minutes their tow truck came and took our car. Happened afternoon so they are almost closing. Next day, Billy called and said whats the problem with our car. It was transmission and a whooping $$$$! The level of communication that the people from Chris was impeccable, they call almost daily to give updates. Fast forward, parts was delayed and we received our car a few days before it turned a month. (Can you imagine how much we paid for rental?!) Anyway, they gave us a very good discount. I can't even put words how everything went. So you imagine the crazy stress we had experienced?! Thankfully Chris Automotive was very reasonable with their prices, staffs were great and our car is back! Will definitely recommend this place!

Finding a good mechanic is a hard thing to do. Finding one that's honest as well is almost…read moreimpossible. You'll find both in Mike, his son David and Dirk at M. Albert and Son Auto. My family has been coming here since we moved to Beacon over 15 years ago. We tried them based on the positive recommendations of our neighbors - we stayed because what they said was true. Their experience will save you time and money. There's no shotgun approach to repair here. They're expert at diagnosing your vehicles problem, fixing that problem - and ONLY fixing that problem. No oversell and no inflated invoices. My family's cars consist of a 1996 Camry, a 2001 Taurus and a 2003 Sable. Mike and the team here have kept me car-payment free for a long time. Here's an example. My Taurus needed a new engine. Something common in that model at that age. My choice was to either replace the engine or buy another car. I opted to have them install a rebuilt Jasper engine. (They are an authorized dealer.) to this day the car runs better and has more power than when I bought it new in 2001. And it came in UNDER the estimate I've been given. If you're looking for a mechanic you need to give these guys a try. Anyone who knows me or has read my other Yelp reviews know I'm a hard person to please so this recommendation isn't given lightly.

I spoke to Nick an while back and decided to get all five of my rims reconditioned. The driver,…read moreMatt, came down the following day and quickly put my car up on jacks and removed the tires. The next day Matt returned and informed me that two rims suffered some damage in transit- he installed 3 tires and returned to Newburgh. The following day a pleasant gentleman returned with the remaining two rims and tire- quickly completed the install. They're a little behind the times technologically speaking in terms of payment methods but it is what it is. As of yet I still have not received my receipt that was promised to me- that would be texted. I just returned from a quick test ride and I can feel the difference in my ride. Armani Wheels was able to remove the curb rash completely, straighten the rims, and make repairs to a crack in another rim. I am satisfied with the work.

They told me the weights just came off of the wheel. I had new tires installed and I guess the weights just came off of that wheel. So with that he balances the tire for me and when he's done he tells me 50$? Im not one to negotiate with an employee so I pay him the 50$ Probably just went right into his pocket. Not a fan of being ripped off. I let the owner know a few weeks later. Not sure why I waited but half embarrassed and half life. I really had hoped of finding a new spot to get my wheels done. The place I used to go was just a total ripoff but it was close to me. I looked for a new place instead of driving to the Bronx. I called the boss and he was very accommodating letting me come after hours. Not a great idea. I guess I'll go to the Bronx next time. Unfortunate for all parties.
