! Outside of the dream park, there are picnic tables, tennis courts, bathrooms, and a smallish field, as well as the skate park.

City Pier - Female Surf Scoter coming in for a splash landing off the pier - ten out of ten!! LOL!!

The pier is definitely worth a stroll if you're in the downtown area. There are tons of waterfowl…read moreso it's great for all you birders out there - and you'll get beautiful views of the inner harbor and the Olympic mountains. Apparently the fishing is really great too and the pier is well suited to it. It's located in the heart of downtown on the waterfront near most of PA's shops and restaurants. It's right next to the Wharf which is also worth a visit as it has restaurants and art galleries. There's a map of the historic waterfront trail near the entrance to Hollywood Beach which is also right off to the right of the pier and a nice stroll too. Theres a Marine Science Center which is probably really fun for the kids (was closed when I visited). Alongside the pier there's seating and a covered stage - the city holds a "Concerts on the Pier" series Wednesday nights in the summer. And the pier and stage can even be rented for public events! There's a small-ish parking lot right at the entrance with free, timed parking. But there can be some shady characters milling around in that area so I would recommend keeping an eye on your vehicle and don't leave anything valuable inside.

Nice place to walk around the waterfront. Some restaurants nearby and the whaft building is pretty…read morecool. Quick stop for food and rest

What a fun adventure! Hand feeding these animals through the window of our car was the best…read moreexperience! If you have never: 1) had your car windows washed by bison tongue; 2) been waved to by a bear; 3) been smiled at by an elk or zebra; 4) had a yak or deer come to you and say "yes, please" for bread; then this is where you want to go! Your entry ticket is valid all day, and you purchase the wheat bread onsite. Just be prepared to wash your car when you are done! :) Side note: we were able to bring our dogs as long as they kept their cool (and they did!).

Highly recommend for any age range. I don't care if you are 3, 30, or 93, everyone loves a cute…read moreanimal sticking its face in your face. First, believe them when they say the animals know what to do and you should move along at a brisk 10mph, with little to no stopping. Yes, it feels weird moving along with a llama neck through your window but they DO move. At the gate, which you can drive right up to, you can purchase loaves of bread to feed the animals - buy as many as they recommend. You WILL run out. Not only is there a peacock every five feet (and yes, they eat the bread), but there are so many four-legged furry friends running up to partake. In addition to herbivore types, there is an entire predatory animal section, some in enclosures but others like the bears you CAN feed. The bears can't come over - there is an electric fence - so don't ask them to! You are told not to stop at all in the bison and elk area. Is it a bit pricey? Well, what's pricey these days besides everything? I do wish they charged per car instead of per person yet I'm sure it takes a lot of moola to feed these animals so I don't mind helping out. You are allowed to drive around in as many circles as you want (you can even leave and come back, if on the same day); and you can stop again to get more bread if needed, so all in all it's a pretty good deal and makes for a pretty good day!
