Great Mexican food! We've been searching for an authentic fast food Mexican restaurant similar to our favorites in San Diego, and Erickberto's hit the mark. The carne asada burrito was fantastic. The meat was grilled perfectly any rh tortilla as so flavorful. The chili rellenos also were solid with a crisp texture and spice. Refried beans were so tasty. Cabeza taco is a must! So tender abd flavorful. The taco was large and packed with meat. Can't wait to have again. The enchilada's were okay. There was not a lot of flavor in the sauce. I love trying enchilada sauces, but this one missed the mark. Having breakfast burritos next time at Erickberto's!!! read more

Place is a hit and miss sad that it has so much potential. I order a burrito and asked if I could get nacho cheese on the side and they told me no. Don't feel like that was an over the top request and would have gladly paid the extra. This is why this place always looks empty smh read more

Stopped in while getting my windshield fixed across the street. The inside was very clean and tidy and the lady that greeted was very nice and accommodating. I couldn't decide between a chicken or fish taco and she suggested that I could one of each as a plate. My husband ordered the carne asada taco. The sweet lady came out and delivered our food to our table and brought us hot sauce. The fish taco was excellent and came out piping hot, the chicken was good and the tortilla had a great crunch. My husbands Carne Asada was kind of dry and couldn't quiet put my finger on the flavor. But everything else was delicious and I would definitely order from here again. read more

Here's an idea! When you build a delivery order for someone who is staying in a hotel, INCLUDE UTENSILS AND NAPKINS. iI's very disappointing to order out because you're exhausted from traveling all day, ordering out for delivery because you really just need an in-room turnkey dinner solution and it comes without utensils or napkins. So, yay, now I get to get dressed again and go to the front desk and wait 20 minutes while they locate the utensils that you forgot to include. Beyond that, the fajitas were all glopped together in a cheesy mess. There was a very sorry portion of refried beans, and thanks for including two 14" tortillas instead of smaller ones that normally come with fajitas. It made eating this cheesy mess that much messier. I was working my second job in Colorado Springs the past weekend in the neighborhood where this restaurant is located so after my shift on Sunday, I had to try this restaurant as it looked so good. Although this may not be the BEST Mexican food I've ever had I certainly enjoyed their food as well as their service, and I'd go back there again if I get a chance to be in the north Springs again. I believe what I got was Carnitas combo plate that came with four tortillas (of my choice.) The portion was amazingly big for the kind of price I paid. I was pleased with the inside of the restaurant as well; it certainly was very clean and inviting. New Mexican Food place to try nearby? YESSSS. So, anyone who knows me, or has read any of my Mexican food reviews, knows that I am a Mexican food junkie. It should be labeled a food group. So I was super excited about a new place going in! It's awesome that it's brand new, but other than that... Unfortunately it seems like pretty much all the other fast food Mexican joints in town. Albertacos, Taco Express, Taco Star, Monica 's. They all do exactly the same thing. I was hoping for a different experience in ANY way. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but it didn't differentiate itself from any of the other places around, so it comes down to which ever place is closest to your home, or closest to where you are when you want to fill your Mexican food need without the restaurant experience. I tried a chimichanga meal, $11.83, I believe, which was a chimichanga, rice and beans. The chimichanga was smothered in sauce, a little bit of guacamole and sour cream. Because I ordered it "to go" the entire meal was basically just dig in and mix it all together. The chimichanga was a mixture of beans green bell pepper and onion, and meat. Very thickly wrapped in layers of tortilla but not a tremendous amount of meat. There were six places to sit inside. They were properly spaced due to Covid. The gal at the register did not have her face mask over her nose, but she did have it over her mouth. They had a drive-through, but it's kind of weird how you get to it. Not easy to drive in and immediately make a U-turn to go through it... but I think people will figure it out... Overall, if you're nearby and need some Mexican food, it's tasty. But I wouldn't drive across town to try to find it If any of the other places I mentioned are closer to your home. read more

After getting back to my house, I took a bite and lo and behold, they were beef. Also the horchata was hardly sweet at all and had a long dark hair stuck to the cup which was gross. Wanted something quick and easy in the area so tried erickbertos this weekend. They gave generous portions of food, but it was overly greasy. I went through the whole stack of napkins given to me eating the Erickbertos quesadilla. Don't get me wrong the food was good but it didn't make me feel so good after. We also got the #8 carne asada tacos. It was tasty, but it needed some lime which wasn't provided. Super nachos were probably my favorite. They gave plenty of meat and it was enough to reheat the next day with an air fryer and still good. Not the healthiest or easiest to eat but I think this place is worth a try. I'm a Colorado Native who grew up in San Diego so authentic Mexican food is definitely something I'm picky about. If you're a purist, then you know that hatch green chilies have no business being in Mexican food and rice doesn't belong in burritos. This is the closest thing I've found to the Mexican food you would find in the border towns of California, Arizona, and New Mexico outside of that area. It looks like there's another Erickberto's in Escondido CA. Don't know if it's the same owners or not though. They have California burritos and they use fries instead of potatoes like they're supposed to. Baja Mexican food is also a very specific type of Mexican food and they're seafood menu is extensive. The font and signage will also remind those familiar with the Alberto's/Juanberto's/Filiberto's/Roberto's/Aliberto's/etc. type 24hr restaurants that are sprinkled in the southwest region. Those who know KNOW what to expect. It's not fancy. It's real. It's the type of Mexican food you get at 2:15am after the bars close. I told other SoCal peeps about this spot and they all agree. It's a slice of nostalgia in a place you wouldn't expect to find it. It's the In-N-Out of Mexican food right here in COS. The red sauce could be a little spicier but it's not enough to deduct a star in the rating. Those who have mentioned that they think the food here is bland also probably think Taco Bell and Chipotle is authentic. It tastes like hanging with the homies and cousins on a summer night after being at the beach all day long. 11/10 highly recommend. read more

My husband and I were craving breakfast tacos or burritos and decided to give Erickberto's a try since La Casita wasn't open yet. In terms of size, they were great! Super Huge and had a good tasting tortilla. Where they fell flat was the meat. The steak had cartalige pieces in it that were super chewy and the flavor wasn't that pleasant. It's good to know there is a spot on powers that rivals El Super Taco. I ate the carne asada fries, and was pretty impressed by the quality of the meat, and the large portion. I typically judge a spot based off the carne asada fries, and I can definitely say I am coming back. As for the chimi, you won't finish it in one sitting, crispy shell, fresh and hot. I tried the fresh made Chips and Guacamole, So Delicious!! I also, always order a simple bean and cheese burrito on my first time at any new find. Sooo..... These were the most flavorful carne asada tacos I've ever had!! Meat was juicy and soooo good, tomatoes/onion/cilantro was all very fresh. I am shocked because I got the meal at a drive-through!! I seriously underestimated what I was about to receive and was SO pleasantly surprised when I took a bite of these amazing tacos. The rice was nicely seasoned and the beans were good, too! Salsas were spicy but not too spicy. Really enjoyed my meal. I think it was about $12 for the combo plate after tax. I went in and ordered 2 cheese enchiladas, 2 carne asada tacos and 2 breakfast burritos. The lady at the register told me the price and it was way more than it should have been. She printed the order and everything was $3-$4 more than stated on the menu. When I asked for my card back so I could leave she hid it behind her and refused to give it back. Moved here from out of state and was looking for good local mexican food on the north side of town. Their Menudo and Al Pastor Burrito were both flavorful and delicious! They are very similar to Alberto's mexican food in Cali which made me happy!! The portions are decent but the burrito was not as large as we're used to back in Cali. Overall this place has great food and is one of my favorite places on the north side of town so far! Definitely worth a try! read more

Chapter 1 My husband and I got out for a date without the baby and it took us forever to pick where we wanted to go. Finally after looking at many many local places we settled on Erickbertos. What a find!!! So far, by far the best Mexican we have found in the Springs. We will definitely be back. So many options. I had a hard time deciding so when I asked about the Adobada the guy taking our order suggested giving me a sample. I'm glad I did. Because I then ordered the #19. My husband got a #1. We also ordered chips and pico. They don't have chips and salsa. Chapter 2 We didn't wait long before our food came to the table. The chips came straight out of the fryer. They were crispy and hot. The pico was well balanced between the onions, tomatoes and cilantro. Great started. Then our entrees. The rice was quite nice. I think (?) it had paprika seasoning... but you can tell it was warmed and then poured out of a bag. It tasted fresh. Then the guac on my plate was oh so ever creamy and fluffy. That's right. It was aerated. Delicious. And my husbands shells were fresh. You can taste the difference. Homemade then deep fried. And my pork, YUM! That's the Adobada. Seasoned and marinated very well. It has a slight bite at the end. Nothing too extreme or hot. Chapter 3 Finally, my only critique would be a slight lack of salt on the shredded beef in my husband's taco and slight lack of salt in their green and red sauce. Oh, but the sauces... besides the salt, the green was a jalapeño and tomatillo sauce. Mild in heat. And the red sauce was your typical chile sauce. Still tasty. Still giving good ratings.
