There was no infection, so I didn't understand what the problem was. She said, "sometimes they just die". Just saw my new dentist today (Dr. Popenoe) and he found that I was mashing that tooth when I would bite down. He adjusted my bite and recommended that we wait and see if it gets better. He would have made a lot more money if he would have just done the root canal (like the last dentist wanted), but he put my well-being first. The staff is also excellent and very friendly. :)

During the process there may be additional appointments for adjustments like IPR or resin attachments. The place is nice and clean and I feel the staff treats you well and are professional. My teeth are aligned properly after the treatment and I feel it was worth the effort.

During that time, I transferred my kids through two orthodontist offices and accidentally exhausted all ortho benefits with insurance. I didn't realize that until I tried to get one of my kiddos a quote to continue ortho care back in WA. Back in WA, I got quotes from Lund and Borne orthodontics in Lake Stevens. Borne ortho wanted $2000!!!! to just remove braces and put on retainers. Lund ortho tricked us into an appointment and would not give us a quote once there for removal of braces/retainer even though their office is where we started and they quoted about $6700 for his braces to begin with, which I paid in full alongside insurance to avoid monthly charges. I felt super hopeless. I came across Dr George on google reviews and gave his office a call. Right away, the receptionist was so very kind. I didn't even share with her my prior bad experiences. She set up a free appointment and consultation with Dr. George. The Everett office was very clean and full of teens and patients. It has a very relaxed waiting room that is comfortable. The lady checking us in was super sweet. The lady photographing my child's teeth clearly has experience with teens!!! I was super impressed. The uniforms they wear are very professional. They clean the stations after every patient. Parents are MORE than welcome to accompany their kiddo, which is great because some places make you feel terrible for wanting to accompany your kiddo. Dr. George was so curious as to our back story so I shared and he was more than empathetic. I seriously thought all WA orthos were arrogant and out for the money based on my experience with orthos in Lake Stevens, so I was so blown away by how amazing Dr George is. He's a people person. He really cares about your circumstances. I literally was emotional with tears when he was more than reasonable with his quote to remove my kiddos braces and get him into a retainer. It literally was like God answered a prayer. We came back the next week for braces removal and then a few days later for retainer fitting. Staff were super kind and very thorough with educating my teen on how to wear his new retainers. I feel very blessed to have come across this office. If we have any ortho needs ever again, Dr. George is hands down the best and where we will be at!!! Highly recommend for so many reasons including excellent customer service. Even though I was there for a whole two hours and endured some X-ray pain and prickling to my gums... it was good. I know a lot more about my teeth and learned that I have a cavity on my wisdom tooth. FML. But anyway, the service was EXCEPTIONAL. Loretta at the front desk was so helpful and friendly!!! Devorie, who was the lead assistant, was super awesome and kind. When she was taking my x-rays and stuffing the slides into my mouth, she made sure that I was comfortable and that I wasn't in too much pain, she was so thoughtful. I really liked her. Dr. Hsu was cool too, I asked him a lot of questions about my teeth and he was glad that I asked because people normally just want their teeth done and be done with everything. However, the transition period last fall was not optimal as it coincided with cracked fillings (originating from another dentist) and a chipped, then broken crown (darn choc chip cookies, cocoa nibs, artisan bread) that needed attention. Really I drank a dairy farm in my youth and I don't eat rocks for breakfast...teeth don't just break! Those were anxious times of no timely dental cleanings, rotating dentists and hygienists from agencies. Even waited in the parking lot with this motley crew. My replacement crown also went missing...guess it was totally done with the I-5 commute. That hot black market illicit cartel of custom made crowns or some squirrel wearing a tiara crown (pun intended). Yes, it was becoming that ludicrous. You have to laugh or break down and cry in frustration. Props go to *Kate* for holding the dental practice together where she even followed up with patients with her own cell phone. She was the main reason to stick it out, especially after yet another mortifying recent dental mishap breaking a front left crown (grapes)! All Family Shoreline Dental is now overseen by Drs. Sammy B.D. Pak and Negin Nazarian. No more revolving door of dental temporaries. I warily saw Dr. Nazarian 4/3/18, but she was professional, thorough, and put me at ease. She reattached my broken crown after Xrays and impressions were taken. She presented my permanent options moving forward. She reattached this crown again on 4/17/18 (baklava). I met Dr. Pak on my dreaded 4/26/18 appointment since I didn't know much about dental implants. Again, the information provided and his demeanor, I relaxed as best I could before the root canal post, dental bone extraction, and the new screw foundation were initiated. The audible drilling sounds were not great and I kept my eyes shut during the two hour procedure. Yes, the local area was numbed up and after was fitted with a temporary flipper retainer. Also, I was placed on short term antibiotic and pain management post treatment. I received a thorough follow-up via email about sutures and completed my one week appointment on 5/3/18. My son has his long overdue dental cleaning scheduled on 5/7/18 (so he will the first to report on the state of their dental hygienists) and my final dental implant session is not until 6/7/18. Seems lame to have dental appointments around our respective birthdays, but dental health is very important. Plus this Yelper wants to eat and resume my social calendar with confidence again! Dr. Pak, Dr. Nazarian, and their professional staff at All Family Shoreline Dental start a new chapter at this current, established location. It only took me two visits to switch my whole family over to Dr. Chen to care for all of our dental needs. I am 66 years old and have seen plenty of dentists over the years but no one comes close to the care DR. Chen and his wife Joan provide. Dr. Chen provides painless anesthesia, meaning you will feel absolutely nothing whatsoever. Truly amazing. I have been experiencing server pain in the back of my head for over a week, and Dr. Chen recognized I was in a lot of pain unrelated to dental work. He took the time to ask questions, then provided me with medication that would provide me with pain relief. He is truly someone that cares about people. They say birds of a feather flock together and I, from firsthand experience, can tell you, everyone at this state-of-the-art facility is an experienced dental team like no other. This place is the real deal when it comes to kindness and caring. Everyone makes you feel welcomed. My first visit I was a walk-in with no appointment. Joan Nagatomo got me into a room and told me she is working on other patients but she would fit me in 100%. I had% two crowns that came loose and I was concern I was going to swallow the crowns at any time. Within 15 minutes, Joan could tell that her husband, Dr. Chen, needed to look at how to resolve my problem that he specializes in. My current dentist told me her first opening was in two weeks to see me even though I explained the problem I was having, she would not see me.
