I began seeing Dr. Chan about a year ago on the recommendation of a friend and have been very happy ever since. My initial visit was very thorough with a long discussion with Dr. Chan about things I could do to help the issues I was having (sensitivity and a few other things). He's very thoughtful and friendly and his suggestions helped address my issues better than any suggestions my previous dentist had. Dr. Chan is the best dentist I've ever had! He is thorough with examination and he's always very patient and kind while he explained his findings and recommendations to me. His office is also equipped with modern technology such as x-ray machines that instantly transmit the digital files onto a large TV screen in the room so that no detail is missed during examination. Once during a session where I had to get my cavities filled, Dr. Chan let me watch a movie on those flat screen TV's with noise cancelling headphones while he worked. Best filling experience ever! This was not a one-time exception, they had 30+ dvds for me to choose from so I'm sure this was just a nice way for them to help their patients feel more comfortable. Dr. Chan's staff is well trained and considerate during the teeth cleaning process. They always give you a pair of sunglasses to cover your eyes from the overhead light that is needed to light up your mouth while they work. They also put on chapstick for you at the end of their cleaning since your lips could get dried out sometimes. No-one asked them to do this, but it's this kind of consideration and attention to detail for their patients that sets them apart. I'm sad that I'm moving to another state and won't be able to keep him as my dentist! Otherwise, I would keep going back to Dr. Chan for the rest of my life! read more

Loved this office from the moment I entered. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and organized. Elsa was delightfully entertaining while getting my teeth x-rays. Dr. was extremely kind and informative about the current state of my teeth and gums... and gave me tips to keep them healthy. Morgan did an amazing job cleaning my teeth and warned me before hitting any potential sensitive spots (judging by my X-rays). I highly recommend this office. Best dental experience EVER. read more

"Moved to Seattle 2 years ago, I was totally not in a rush of finding a dentist because I missed my previous dentist in Houston, Texas. I saw many dentists before, it's hard to find a good one. May be I am picky. Some focus too much on cosmetic service charging a lot of money. Others do things quickly and kick me out in no time. I am just patient number 102. The dentist won't remember me as the patient. It's just business as usual. I was looking for personalized dental service and expecting my dentist to remember me as a person. I think Dr Chan is the type of dentist I have been looking for. A day before I needed to go on a cruise trip, my tooth started to ache. Bad timing! I called my friend here and he recommended Dr Chan to me. I made the appointment right away. Although their schedule was full, they managed to find a slot eventually to check my tooth pain. Of course, there came the bad news that the tooth needed some serous work done. They quickly scheduled something for me to fix the very decayed tooth. I was thankful that I am no longer patient 102! I could see that they almost felt my pain. They fixed my tooth pain. Now, I would like to summarize my one year experience from this dental office. - Dr Chan is a very experienced dentist - My dentist spent adequate time to check my teeth - My dentist didn't mind that I complained very subtle feeling here and there after the dental procedures, he tested and made adjustment countlessly to make sure I felt happy - My dentist and his assistants cared so much about my overall feelings, from too cold or too hot to very tired from a workday or too stressed due to other things - The dental works were great. One of my previous filling fell out too many times and caused pain. This time, it's fixed. All other minor fillings didn't cause any issue. - The dental hygienist was also very nice and professional. My gum has been sensitive and she knows how to clean my teeth without causing any pain. Everyone has certain preference and expectations from one's dentist. WOW! I've been to a lot of dentists over the years, but this is by far the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. They focus more on how to help the patient, and what is best for the patient, than anything else. Their level of service is outstanding! Dr. Chan is very personable and friendly. I went here when I first moved away from my parents and didn't have insurance; they worked with me so that I was able to afford dental care. And then when my husband had a dental emergency a few years ago, we called the emergency line (it was during the weekend and they were closed) and they immediately were able to help us get him out of pain and on antibiotics and pain killers so they could operate on the offending tooth when conditions were favorable. This is an AWESOME dentist!!! read more

On moving to Bellevue in 2011, there were only two reviews here about Dr. Chan, both highly favorable. I tried him and his office out and my wife, daughters and I are all happy we did. For me, he's the best dentist I've ever had. The staff are professional and obviously love working for him. My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Chan since Jan 2002. We love Dr. Chan and his staff. Everyone is very professional and friendly. Dr. Chan is very knowledgeable, experienced and caring. He is very thorough, takes the time to check everything and listens to all my concerns. He is very trustworthy and will only suggest work that is necessary. All the hygienists are great and friendly too! My kids have been seeing Dr. Chan since they were toddlers. The hygienists were very patient and gentle with them. They spent time educating my kids how to take care of their teeth. They do such good job and make sure kids understand how to brush their teeth and also how to take care of gum, tongue etc. My son says, "And they are funny too!" This place is awesome. The entire staff was incredibly nice and helpful! Mr. Chan sat with me and personally explained everything i needed to have done with my teeth, he wasn't just in and out, he actually took his time - which was nice. The dental hygienist was also so sweet and thorough. When i left, the front staff had a printout waiting for me on all the procedures that i was suggested to have. It was detailed as to what exactly my out of pocket costs will be, so there wouldn't be any surprises down the road. This is the best dental office... Whether it's routine dental cleaning (Pam is great!) or major dental work - I would recommend this dental practice and in fact I would not trust my dental care to any other person. I have been driving from Edmonds for over 15 years to come to this office. Dr. Chan is so caring and kind, and his gentle manner put you at ease immediately. The office is beautiful and the floor to ceiling views of the forest from the dental chairs is peaceful and tranquil. The staff is wonderful and everyone goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Chan is very knowledgeable and stays on top of new trends and techniques in the industry. I have been going to Dr. Chan's for a few years now and he is the best dentist I have had. I had jaw pain a few years ago and he has always been very careful, even following up with a me a few days after my visit to make sure I was doing ok. Each time I go in he checks in with me about it and is very careful during my exam. Even though he may not be considered a pediatric dentist, Dr Chan and his hygenist, Tanya, is absolutely awesome with my 4 year old daughter also. She was scared to death to go in the first time and they made the visit so fun for her, she loves going. They also did an outstanding job showing her how to brush her teeth and explained it in such a great way, that she is excited about brushing her teeth now and showing all her friends about how it's done! Being "fully crowned" I know a lot about dentists! But, Dr. Chan is by far the best dentist I have ever encountered. Not only is he informed about the latest techniques he genuinely cares about his patients. He listens.
