This is the second time I've taken something into Fresh Start for powder coating. The first was a rusty flower pot/stand that came out excellent. These gnomes are from my grandfather when he worked at the Gary Steel mills. I'm guessing early 1920's. These may be the ugliest gnomes you've ever seen but you shoulda seen them BEFORE Mark got to them! They're so ugly they're kinda cool! They were totally rusted along with the female swashbucklers which are also from my grandfather around the same time period. They came out great also! The metal milk crates are from 1954 and 1963. Again, they came out great. What a wonderful job on everything! Whatever you might have that's rusted but you'd like to keep, give Mark a call. They have an unbelievable amount of colors too. Joseph and his crew have always been a pleasure to work with in all respects. They're EXCELLENT craftsman and always fair in their pricing. I first researched about 20 different outfits all across Chicagoland and settled on K&K many years ago and couldn't be happier.

Then he and Willie were at my house before noon. They displayed excellent communication and integrity, taking the time to educate me about my options and what the state of the basement was. They confirmed with their moisture sensor what we already suspected - that the carpet had dried out already, but was continuing to harbor mold, so we needed to finish ripping it out, which we had started ourselves. They recommended a cleaning product, and since we were already doing the work ourselves, waived the inspection fee and went on to their next customer. I wouldn't hesitate to call them back if we have any remediation needs in the future.

I reached out to Michael and he responded very quickly with an amazing rate and was even able to come out within 48 hours! He was responsive and clear during the whole process and happily answered any questions during the installation. He was also super clean, covering up the kitchen to capture all the dust and even wearing shoe covers, and I barely had to clean afterwards. Before he left, he gave me pointers about how to take care of the microwave and even took a look at a bathroom vent that was giving me trouble for no additional cost. Would highly recommend Michael/JBM Home Services and will be calling him in the future for any handyman or maintenance needs!
