I had surgery in September to place plates and screws in my foot to fuse the ligament. I started going to Starr Sports about 1-month post-op, unable to bear any weight on my foot and with severe muscle atrophy in my left calf. I worked with Dr. Marvin Catibog, who was truly a savior - he's extremely knowledgeable, caring, and very patient. I felt significant progress almost immediately. Within a month I was walking again, and the swelling in my foot almost completely subsided. I had a second surgery in January to remove the hardware place in my foot. The recovery the second time around was a lot easier and quicker, which I credit to all the PT I had done leading up to it. I was walking again within 10 days. As someone who has always been active, it was a frustrating process not being able to do my normal day to day activities, but Dr. Catibog's motivation, well planned out exercises, and constant reinforcement kept me going and significantly helped in my recovery. Even when the office closed down due to COVID-19, Dr. Catibog continued to check in with me and did weekly FaceTime assessments to ensure I was keeping up with my exercises and not following behind with my progress. I'm now 6 months post my second surgery, and I'm working out daily and running 2-3 times a week without any issues.

I questioned it, but he insisted he does this to every patient and even his family. Right on the table something happened in my neck and I got strong nerve pain instantly in both my hands and lower arms. " What the heck"? He did not want to acknowledge anything and kept going on like nothing happened. Now almost 16 months after the incident I'm still suffering excruciating nerve pain, have to take 3 different medicine to get me through the day: my life has changed significantly for the worse. Dr. Rob is phenomenal. I have been suffering for three weeks with multiple issues. My current…read morechiropractor misdiagnosed my pain and simply had no idea how to treat me leaving me. As a result I was in constant pain and discomfort. First I was told that I strained a chest muscle working out in the gym. And then after weeks went by I was then told that it healed and now had random muscle spasms in my back and same spot in the chest. And they were somehow also causing lack of range of motion and pain in my neck. The smallest tasks, movements or events (e,g, coughing/clearing my throat) felt like I was being knifed. Basically I was in agony for a full month. When I went to see Dr. Rob, he accurately diagnosed the source in less than 5 minutes of asking me questions. The source of my issue was 2 ribs out of alignment in the front of my chest. The ribs were causing pain in my front and all over my upper back and neck. While continuing to constantly ask me questions, he re-aligned the ribs. Then rolled me over and went to work on the resulting neck and back issues. Once done he checked the 2 front ribs again and they had moved fallen out of alignment again. He repeated the same process with the front ribs. Then had me roll over again and went to work on the back and neck again. He had to do this 4 different times before the ribs would stay aligned. He then repeatedly did simple things that I have never seen any chiropractor do. The whole time asking me questions no chiropractor has ever asked me in 20 years. After less than a half hour all the underlying issues completely disappeared. 2 weeks later I have no relapse and am still completely pain free with full pain free range of motion. I have never had a medical experience like this before. The disparity between Dr. Rob and the dozen chiropractors I have seen over the last 20 years is flabbergasting. His breadth of knowledge of the whole body is unparalleled. I highly recommend this chiropractor. The best medical professional I have ever encountered.

NYC- Dr. Rob has arrived!…read more You are all in for a treat! I've seen Rob on and off for years now, and can't recommend him enough. He uses a variety of methodologies to best address what's ailing you. Chronic issues will usually take a more long term approach (after all, it's been screwed up for a long time, it usually takes some time to undo itself!). But I've also had times when I've jacked myself up, got to see Rob immediately and been taken care of and healed in one session. I'm a cheapskate, and constantly broke, but I'll suck it up if I screw myself up big-time and be glad I did. Occasionally I've really jacked myself up and only Rob has been able to fix it. I know I'm gonna be okay when I get an appointment with him, the relief is almost as palatable as the actual fix. He is one of the few to have an intuitive grasp on the human body and just how twisted and contorted we can pretzel ourselves into, and is willing to engage in dialogue with you as he treats you to best tease out what the problem is.

EXCELLENCE is the word that comes to mind when I think of Midtown East Physical Therapy (ME-PT)…read more * Convenient Midtown location. * Wide range of appointment times, from early mornings to evenings. * No long waits. * No overcrowding. * Prompt, professional, and ready to go the moment you walk in. * A team of highly skilled treatment specialists who, even after over a decade in business (and decades more of combined experience), still haven't lost their touch -- or their genuine care for every patient. Over the years -- from my younger athletic days to the effects of time catching up -- I've seen a long list of PTs. And honestly, too many of those experiences made physical therapy feel like a chore, or worse, like I was just another name on a clipboard. That changed when I found ME-PT. From the start, they gave me one clear trajectory: to be stronger, healthier, and more at ease in my body. Whatever their formula is, it works. The therapy is always precise, professional, and personal. I first came in for recurring lower back pain, but no matter what brings me through the door, they get me back on my feet fast -- and I truly believe it's because they listen and care. That makes all the difference in the world. If a medical massage doesn't fully reset and decompress my body (and it usually does), they're also one of the few practices in NYC that specialize in Fascial Counterstrain -- which consistently launches me into full-on recovery mode. Add to that their upgraded space (just a few doors down from their original location), now offering acupuncture and cryotherapy in a state-of-the-art freeze chamber... and this place just keeps getting better. The ME*PT experience truly is about "PT for ME." I've reviewed them before, and 12+ years later, they still live up to their name. No hesitation, I give them my highest and moose sincere recommendation --110%.

Never in my professional career have I experienced such a rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful…read moreinteraction from a healthcare provider. I contacted this office in a professional capacity to clarify information on a medical certification form completed by Gregory Trahtenberg, Physical Therapist. The form had been completed hastily, and his last name was written so illegibly that I could not accurately determine it. My purpose for calling was simply to obtain clarification and a fax number so that I could assist our mutual patient. When I called the number provided on the form, I was repeatedly interrupted before I could explain the reason for my call. Mr. Trahtenberg asked who I was, where I was calling from, and who I was calling for, interrupting my responses each time. When I stated that I was calling for Gregory and could not make out the last name written on the form, he immediately responded, "If you can't read, maybe you should go back to elementary school," and then hung up on me. What made this interaction even more surprising was that Mr. Trahtenberg appears to speak English as a second language. As someone who likely understands the challenges that can arise in communication, I would have expected a greater degree of patience, professionalism, and courtesy rather than ridicule and insults. This was not a personal call. It was a professional inquiry regarding documentation that he himself had completed. Regardless of the circumstances, there is no justification for speaking to another person in such a demeaning and disrespectful manner. Healthcare providers are entrusted with treating patients with professionalism, compassion, and respect. Based on this interaction, I have serious concerns about the level of professionalism demonstrated by this provider. If this is how legitimate professional inquiries are handled, I would be hesitant to trust this office with my healthcare needs. I would strongly encourage prospective patients to consider this experience when deciding where to seek care.
