My family has been coming to this medical office for decades and it's sad to see how much of a decline there has been. First of all, the facility is filthy. People have to wait outside and there is dog and bird poop everywhere on the sidewalk. The parking lot is full of potholes which are dangerous for older patients who use canes and walkers. Secondly, the wait time is ridiculous. You have an appointment for a specific time but you are never seen on time. The last time I was here I had a 9am appointment. I was called into the room at 9:15am but wasn't seen by the doctor for another 50 minutes. They keep timers outside each room to time how long a patient had been waiting. Every room was over 40 minutes and I even overheard one of the Drs mention that patients were getting upset by the wait. It's ridiculous and I'm ready to move on to another provider which is unfortunate because I really do like the staff and Dr Rivera since they know our family so well. read more

This review is solely for the front office staff. They lack professionalism and their word cannot be trusted. We were told that one of the new "controlled" prescriptions for my mother could only be sent to the pharmacy by 2 people. 1 was at lunch and the other was with a patient checking them in/out. Another nurse or nurses' assistant said that in 15 min or less or as soon as the 2nd person was available, the prescription would be sent to the pharmacy. We said that it was good because it would take us roughly that amount of time to get to the pharmacy. We thanked them and went on our way. When we arrived at the pharmacy (took us about 25 min) we come to find out that the prescription was not sent. I called and was told that they are all out to lunch and it would take 1 hour or more for the person to return from lunch and send it because they were very busy. I told them that I understood that they "were busy but were told..." I was cut off only to be told that I didn't seem to understand that they were busy, but they were busy and there is nothing that I can do about it because they were busy, I got upset , talked over her and told them they lacked professionalism and hung up! This isn't the first time the front office staff has been rude to me or my parents. If it weren't for the fact that my parents like and trust Dr. Batres, I would have had them switch due to the lack of professionalism of most of front staff. read more

Disclaimer: This review is intended to rate Dr. Rivera's and P.A. Lechuga's performance, NOT Dr. Eric Batres, who is a joke and I would advise against booking an appointment with him (it's worth mentioning that Dr. Jimenez has the personality of a potato, so I would recommended against booking an appointment with her, too). After coming to this clinic for more than five years, I have many good things to say. The scheduling staff and nurses are always nice, courteous, and cheerful. They make the office's environment feel very welcoming. As for the doctors and their assistants, they are also extremely helpful and they display excellent bedside manners. They're attentive to one's needs and carefully explain complex medical matters. I concur with other reviewers that Dr. Batres' attitude is very off putting, choosing to make sarcastic remarks instead of providing helpful advice. In short, this clinic is well equipped to handle all you basic medical needs, just refrain from making an appointment with Dr. Batres and you're set. read more

Dr. Batres office is always welcoming. I have been to many Doctors offices and this office is the best ! You can get your blood work at the office. I love how they treat my teenagers with guidance and respect. They always give them encouragement words to do good in life. Their staff is one of a kind, always pleasant and happy to help. read more

I started going to this office approximately 2 years ago, after doing my research for a decent doctor close to where I live. I found some good reviews and decided to take a chance. I REGRET IT. Since our initial visit it's been mainly incompetence and band-aid healthcare. Dr. Eric Batres is friendly, but he does not listen to patient concerns, nor to anything one may say. He rushes through the consultations and does not make any attempt to take the proper medical steps/tests to make a well educated diagnosis. The only reason I even give this office 2-stars is because of Dr. Jose Rivera & "some" of the office staff. Dr. Rivera tries to invest more time into patient consultations & he listens alot more. When I went two years ago, I informed Dr. Batres that I had alot of abdominal pain, all the time. Dr. Batres' diagnosis at that time, was that my ailments were a result of my brain sending mixed signals because I had been on a combination of pain killers for a while, as a result of some other issues. Two years later these "psychosomatic" pains have not subsided, in fact the pain has increased. I went back and was seen by the other office physician, Dr Rivera, & after listening to my concerns, he ran some blood tests; however, when I returned I was seen by Dr Batres, again & he simply read the diagnosis, which resulted to be h-pylori. Each time I tried to ask a question, express a concern or simply say something, he cut me off. Simply, irritating. Dr. Batres proceeded to prescribe the necessary medication. Unfortunately, the medication he prescribed is not covered by my insurance and after almost a week of waiting for the pharmacy & the Dr office to get the medication straight, I was finally able to get my meds, only to get home and find out I wasn't prescribed the omeprazole. I call the Dr Office to inform them that I am missing a medication and the staff member assures me that all the necessary medication has been prescribed. However, the pharmacy insert, the medication box, and the pill box included, all state I need omeprazole in order for the antibiotics to work. Furthermore, neither Dr Batres nor Dr Rivera nor their staff took the time to explain that in order for the triple treatment to work properly and hopefully, successfully, one must make an entire lifestyle change and avoid specific foods. This type of oversight can really cost someone their health/life. It's ridiculous. These are suppose to be the paid professionals to whom we go for guidance, yet they are clueless in what they are doing. Luckily, I did have ompeprazole from a previous prescription from my orthopedic, plus i did my homework before starting the meds and I am currently doing my h-pylori treatment with supplements and food restrictions. Am searching for new, higher quality, good, caring doctor in this area, if anyone knows of one.... read more

Horrible Customer Service Over The Phone. I won't be selecting this office for my medical needs.

At first I was a bit doubtful about this place. The outside of the building has its downfall...but I said I'll give it a shot, just cause they took my insurance. As I made an appointment, they were quick in scheduling me one. It work super great with my schedule! They call me on the same day of my apt to conform. Which I thought that was really amazing in case i forgot:) receptionist were very friendly and courteous!!!!!! Not to mention the nurse...she met my expectations!! The PA who seen me, I forgot his name!!! was very attentive, gently and super fast!!!! I strongly recommend this office!!!' Good luck!! read more

I love it!! Made an appointment for a Saturday arrived 15 minutes before, filled out paper work, waiting for about 10 minutes and was called in. The ladies working here are amazing!! Super friendly very attentive. The office is very clean and the doctor is great also! I was there about an hour and 15 minutes! That's awesome!! Since I found these Doctors, ( Dr.Rivera, Dr.Batres ), like 7 years ago, I keep visiting them for any medical need, including me and my family, I read a couple of bad reviews, and I can say that there are and there will always be patients, with different expectations, probably leaving feedback, while they are in pain, but just comparing 100 good versus 1 or 2 bad reviews, give us a real scenario about the service that they provide, about myself, I can say that my experience wasn't good, but excelent by all mean, if you are looking for ethic, professional, expertise, and human touch, this is your place to go. read more
