Eric & Sons has been our go to fireplace folks for over 10 years. When we first moved into our house, the contractor had had Eric & Sons install the gas fireplace. We continued to use Eric & Sons for all of our maintenance work. They have always given us exceptional service. Their technicians have always been professional, polite and well trained. When it came time to upgrade and update our fireplace, the choice of who to call was simple...we called Eric & Sons. They came out to discuss with us what we were looking for regarding the style and features of the fireplace. We discussed the style and type of face plate and the surround. They scheduled a time to come out and do the installation. They arrived on time and did an absolutely beautiful job. They subcontracted with a tile installer to cover a full wall above and around the fireplace with large tiles. He did a beautiful job too. Overall...FANTASTIC. Eric & Sons does quality work. We were referred to Eric & Sons. We had an excellent experience with them. We had a new Fireplace installed with new stone front done. We were not thrilled with a few of the stones that were installed. We waited a few weeks and the 2 stones were still not right to us. We called Lucas and he came right out. He was professional and wanted to assure us they would change the stones. That is great Service!!! We had a drafty old gas log fireplace that didn't heat our house at all so we went to Eric and Sons and picked out a gas insert. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We did have to wait almost 2 months to get an in home measurement taken which seemed a bit crazy, but perhaps the home building boom combined with the fact that there are really only two full service fireplace shops in town is the reason. The owner does the measurements himself. We also had to wait several months longer than normal for delivery and install due to the supply chain issues but we love the new fireplace. It was nice that the office staff sent us status texts weekly to let us know if there were any updates to our shipping schedule. The installers were efficient and left the site very clean. I assumed I might have to repaint afterwards or touch up the drywall around the face of the fireplace but that was not the case. They did have to cut through the backside of the wall which was in my garage in order to access the gas lines, but they sent a separate drywaller to texture the wall and it looked like brand new when he was done. The price seemed reasonable to me and now we can heat the main floor of our house up in less than 10 minutes. read more

Installed solar tubes in our home. Was advised their expertise is in installations which penetrate the roof, i.e. fireplace chimneys and solar tubes. Excellent work! No leaks after 11 years. A special thank you to Eric & Sons team for making this whole custom fireplace experience smooth. We love the look and use the fireplace often. From the start we had a positive experience with Sean in the showroom. He was great with answering questions and responding to emails. One of the owners, Eric came out to discuss what our needs were in detail, measured and sketched the fireplace design he felt would look good in the corner. He had such great ideas and was in contact with us throughout the whole process in helping with the brick product and design recommendations. He even suggested a lighter finish on the insert for the fireplace and it looks amazing with the rest of our décor. Eric also made us a custom wood mantel and nailed it! Wow, how disappointing to have one fireplace company in Prescott/Prescott Valley and they are unusable. I called them because they installed the fireplace in 2017 in the house I now own. The previous owners left the receipt and I was shocked at the cost but all I wanted was to replace the fireplace front because the one that was here was huge and so inappropriate for the size of the fireplace. Don't know if Eric & Sons recommended it but it was truly silly looking. The mantle (a piece of metal) was $1100.00 Really? In 2017. I removed it and will leave it for the new owners should they want the ugly thing. ANYWAY, it was pretty impossible getting anyone to respond. After repeated e-mails and on line inquiries I finally got an e-mail back. They didn't seem to understand what I was even asking. Two or three more e-mails back and forth over the course of about 8-10 days with a lot of prodding they send me pictures with no real information or recommendation. I finally gave up and called the Fireplace Company in Phoenix. Within 5 hours I had my recommendation, a written quote and the next day I placed my order with them. Just skip Eric & Sons and try to do business in Phoenix. I've got to say as a new arrival to this area the vendors really suck! We were so excited about having our old fireplace updated. Jarod came out and told us that he would be back in a few weeks. We thought that all was decided and waited and waited...and waited. Weeks in advance of our 2/1/24 scheduled fireplace appointment, Eric and Sons was provided the make, model and serial number of our Superior fireplace. The surprising $175 bill charged that day said the part for this fireplace to work again was a pilot, but that part according to Eric and Sons was discontinued by Superior. After questioning the bill and questioning the office manager Christy we were told the only option was to purchase a new fireplace. They would credit the $175 and put it towards the purchase of a new installed fireplace. Not believing the fireplace was obsolete or a part was not available we called another fireplace company. That company sent a repairman that fixed the pilot with a brand new universal part. We called Christy again and told her a universal part fixed the problem. Her comment was that Eric and Sons DO NOT USE UNIVERSAL PARTS. If they couldn't get all the parts on the unit why did they come out to the fireplace appointment in the first place? Apparently, Eric and Sons would rather have customers spends thousands of dollars rather than hundreds. We will never recommend Eric and Sons to our HOA community for service, as over 140 condo units have this fireplace. Good news about a company travels fast, but bad news about a company travels faster in a small town. read more

We had Eric and Son's work on two fireplaces. They refaced one and moved the other fireplace across the room. Moving the fireplace required demolishing the old, sealing the roof, framing the new fireplace, moving the gas line, venting through the roof, installing the new fire box/log set and putting up the new stone and mantel. These guys did an outstanding job! Both me and my wife said during the entire process that we made the right choice to have these guys do the work. They weren't the lowest bid, but based on the scope of work, I am 100% confident that no one else could have done it better. The few extra dollars we spent was well worth it. We are so excited about our new fireplaces! If you are building a new fireplace, updating an existing one or just refreshing a log set, these are the guys to call. These guys provide a white glove treatment all the way through the process! read more

They installed two velux light tubes almost four years ago in our home. Last early autumn and through this winter some dirty water started to puddle in one of the units. Inside the lens. They came out and inspected the installation. Took the lens off and put it all back together. The leak turned out to be from another vent in the roof above the velux installation. It dripped in the attic and onto to velux tube inside the attic and then leaked through an installation screw Strange but leaks usually are. They reseated the vent and went on their way. Talk about customer service. We have enjoyed the velux tubes in a bathroom and laundry that always needed a light on during the day. No more. I highly recommend Eric & sons and the velux tubes. read more

I used Eric and Sons for a new insert for my fireplace. Jarrod recommend a certain model and I agreed. The workmanship was good but when the final worker showed up to start up my fireplace the flames it put out were very disappointing. It looked like about a half dozen Bic lighters when it was set to "High". I asked the start-up guy if they could make the flames bigger. He said "Maybe", but that I'd have to talk to the office. In the following hours, I also noticed that my new fireplace put our very little heat. To give you an example, I woke up early one morning and my living room was chilly. I turned on my new fireplace to "High" and went back to bed. I got up an hour later and the room as still very cool. It turns out my fireplace didn't have the blower necessary for it to put out any real heat. My brother-in-law is a contractor of very high-end homes and when he looked at the flame output when it was set on "high" he said "Yeah, that's not right...". I purchased the fireplace for two reasons, ambiance and heat, and mine was giving me neither. At this time, I still owed E&S more than half the total cost. I called and left a message that I was ready to pay the bill, but I would like to find out if we could turn the flames up in any way, and that I'd like to add the blower that I assumed would come with the unit. They did not return my call. Several weeks later I received a bill saying my payment was past due. I sent an email this time, again stating that I was willing to pay the bill, but I'd like to find out if the flame could be increased and that I'd like to have a blower installed. Again, 3 weeks later, I have received no response. I have now had to purchase a blower online and figure out how to install it myself. I just mailed E&S the final payment. I don't recommend Eric and Sons. read more

We went to Eric & Sons, Inc. showroom in Prescott, Az in April, 2020. They have a great selection of fireplaces and ideas. They got the permit, installed a 60" Deluxe Linear Fireplace with remote controlled flame, blower, lights and thermostat with colbalt blue glass flooring & traditional log set. We had our choice of fireplace mantles and got online at stollindustries.com to pick one out to be made. Eric ordered and installed a 4" thick, 72" long, oil rubbed bronze metal mantle. He took care of getting the gas company to install a gas line, his employee's put in a chimney, drywalled, got the plaster guy in, did it all. I cannot emphasize enought how professional every single worker was that worked for EricKuckuck. Eric kept us up-to-date every day and the work was done in a timely manner. We highly recommend Eric & Sons. This company knows fireplaces! read more
