Ergon? More like errr no! I get that yes sometimes a dish can be wrong. But it takes some effort to screw up a lentil salad dish that contains lentils, tomatoes and herbs. Whatever the verbs were made the entire dish taste like nail varnish remover. How do I know what nail varnish remover tastes like? I was a brat as a kid who very nearly poisoned himself. The online menu is out of date, so you look it up & see dishes that are but a far flung memory of the cigarette addicted cooks memory. I had my mind & taste buds set on several dishes that are no longer on the real world menu. Shame as Greek meze can be a great nights food. When done right it can be a foodgasm that leads to a good baby. Sadly my dinner here left me with indegestion. read more

Very impressed! Half of this is a little shop that sells greek grocery items, and the other half is an upscale-ish restaurant. I came for a late lunch on a Saturday and tried a little bit of everything. They had a good wine selection, which was a little more expensive than most restaurants, but definitely of higher quality. I tried a cabernet-merlot blend, and I was happy with it. The zucchini balls were excellent, much better than I expected. Even though it was a deep-fried croquette, the zucchini still tasted fresh. It came with greek yogurt and a sweet, fruity sauce that made the whole dish perfectly balanced. For my main course, I had the sea bass on sauteed greens. The fish was perfectly cooked, really tender with a crispy skin. The greens were also good, with just the right amount of lemon and dill, and they went well with the fish. For dessert, I had a very tasty greek coffee and the yogurt cream dessert. The dessert was delicious and light, a wonderful end to a wonderful meal. Service was excellent, both fast and nice. I think I was in and out in around 45 minutes with my drinks, appetizer, entree, coffee, and dessert. I will definitely be back. read more

Best hospitality and service I've experienced in Brussels. The Manager is friendly and attentive. All other staff very accommodating. The food inventive, fresh, healthy and delicious! Wine by the glass offers more options than most. Their higher end Cab Sauvignon is lovely. The atmosphere is contemporary, clean and welcoming. Great selection of gourmet products from Greece. Fabulous jazz for background music. So glad they just opened. Very much worth the visit! read more

It was supposed to be a quick lunch with friends, but somebody forgot she had another birthday lunch. Yes you. I know you'll read this. That said, she is excused because she suggested this wonderful place. Beautiful interior and friendly staff. We had a two person table in the corner, although it was close to the kitchen it did not bother us. This specific table had a corner setup, so you're not seated across each other but rather in a 90 degree angle. So if you don't like this, don't ask this table. But do call for reservation because the place was packed for lunch. Now to the essence. The food was devine. We went for the chicken, the meatballs (OMG the meatballs) and the risotto. Everything tasted and looked great. We missed the concept of the restaurant where you order multiple dishes and than you share. Since our guide didn't make it we kept our dish to ourselves. So to not look like a fool: you order multiple plates and you share them with everyone. Unless you do like me and eat the whole risotto. All by all, recommended for the food, the atmosphere and the staff. There is also a small counter where I guess you can order to take out. We went to Ergon on a girls night out and we had the best time! We ordered Mezzo for the six of us and took a bit of everything. Every dish was very nice and they all followed quickly after each other, so we were never waiting. The only time we had to wait for a bit was when we tried to order. But next to that no comments. The wine was good and it was nice that the restaurant was full but it wasn't noisy at all. We could all understand each other quite well when talking. And at the end of the night we got a compliment of the owner: We were all 9's and 10's. So if you want to have a good night with good food, Ergon is the place to be! read more

J'ai découvert la cuisine Grec lors d'un séjour en vacances, et de retour rien de plus difficile que de trouver quelque chose de fidèle au goût, texture et séjour que j'avais trouver là-bas. Il y'a bien entendu les grands de la ville tel que le Notos au Châtelain, mais ce n'est pas pour tout les jours.... Alors je dois dire que chez Ergon on retrouve les grands classiques tels que le souvlaki, la moussaka et bien entendu la salade de tomates Grec à des prix plus que correct en particulier quand on prends en considération le quartier où tout est toujours un "peu" plus cher qu'ailleurs.... Really nice Greek place, I was surprised by the quality of the food, the lamb moussaka was amazing, and the beetroot risotto was really good too. The service was decent enough and the place was nice. The price quality ratio is really good which is unusual in this area where most of the restaurant have really high prices due to the proximity of the eu institutions... Such a nice place and tatsy food. I wanted to try everything on the menu. I went there with some friends and we decided to try as much and share the food. We ordered bit by bit (was not a problem for them at all) and it was difficult to stop ordering as we wanted to try it all. I would recommend the mezze: meetballs, zucchini balls, cheese pastries, ...and very tastefull salads. I need to go back to try the rest :-). read more

Very good discovery for lunch in the European Parliament area! I live and work in the area and Ergon had caught my attention since the beginning but I had never managed to go there. Finally the day arrived and I was not disappointed! The staff is very friendly and helpful and the ambiance is pleasant. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced. The dishes are classic Greek but revisited, which gives a nice, sometimes surprising, touch. I like the meze style where you take several dishes and share, so you can try different things and it is less hard to choose from the menu! We were three and got the mixed spead platter, dolmas (a bit dry for my taste), meatballs (I loved the pistacio addition!), baby squid (bit on the sweet side and it would have been nice to have the peas' puree warm), cheese cake and baklava. With two bottles of water and a coffee we paid 20EUR each. A perfect Friday lunch among friends to start the weekend! Special mention to the desserts, they will surprise you, but I am not saying more, you should go and try! Ergon will definetily enter into my lunch rotation list! read more

This is a lively restaurant, just big enough to bustle but small enough to have a great kitchen. The deli part is almost non-existent; it's all restaurant on a light-filled corner with big windows. I had a delicious Greek salad, excellent pan-fried salmon and authentic baklava. The salmon had an unusual sauce that added to but did not cover up the salmon taste. It came with an arugula salad inside a nest of thin-sliced zucchini. The three women servers cover for each other so you never wait long for anything. Total cost for one with a bottle of water and a glass of wine was 50 euros - and I ordered more than I needed to. Highly recommended! read more

Have been here twice, and both times was blown away by the deliciousness of each dish selected. My personal favorites Greek salad, dakos salad, zuccinni balls, meatballs and roasted feta. I visited twice during a recent visits to Brussels. The interior is small and nothing fancy. The staff is warm and accommodating, albeit somewhat inconsistent in experience. Start and end with the mezes; they are really god and there is no reason to order the main courses. On visit 1 I tried the zucchini balls with yoghurt and the toasted feta in sesame crust with thyme honey. They are definitely worth a go. read more

Good Greek food at reasonable prices! This place has tasty salads, traditional dips, warm flatbread, and delicious desserts. I recommend it for lunch or a quiet weekend dinner. There's also a shop area for Greek grocery items, I'm tempted to go back for that. read more

This is the Ergon a couple of blocks from the European Parliament, on a corner near three or four other restaurants. It is just a small, unassuming cafe with a few tables inside, but the authentic Greek food was outstanding. The lamb shank just melted in my mouth, and my wife's seafood was great--even the octopus was done right, a real test for the chef. We didn't get any of the Greek packaged items for sale in the window, but the shot of ouzo went very nicely with the food. The place was packed, and most appeared to be locals which is always a good sign. read more
