I bought a computer from them online and they did not accurately describe the condition and refuse to refund my money. As well they only responded once to my query and still have not gotten back to me. Stay away from purchasing anything from here. Listings are not as described and customer service is very poor. Having to file a claim since the company failed to respond to my messages. I could not be more disappointed in how the entire process is being handled. Good thing PayPal make sure companies like this do not cheat their customers. read more

Considering that a lot of other e-waste places charge you by the pound, this is a great deal. It's also a family business, which makes me even happier to support them. e-Recycler takes a large variety of electronics for FREE (aside from computer monitors - $5 and TV's- $10). They also provide a service for destroying hard drives for a fee.I would suggest calling ahead of time to let them know you're coming to drop stuff off and inquire about bringing anything you're not sure about - they're very helpful and friendly! I had purchased 3 POS systems and ever since the beginning, it's been a mess. I needed the units in a hurry and expressed this to them, so I provided my FedEx account number (on Monday) for them to ship with, next day shipping. I was not notified that they were unable to use my account for some reason until I had called to see if they shipped. I had then provided them labels, but the units did not ship out until Thursday. After paying $139 each for shipping, I received them on a Friday, I needed them on Tuesday. When I received them, one of the units was DOA and another was missing the credit card swiper and had a fan that sounded like a helicopter was going to take off inside. Mind you, I did pay $139 to ship a DOA unit and then had to pay to ship the item back. I was told by Gabrielle that they usually don't take returns, but since I made a convincing case, they would this once. After a week of troubleshooting a bad motherboard, I was returned a good unit, but it was not what I had purchased. I was given an inferior 700mhz processor when I had purchased a 1.2ghz model. When I called and spoke to a technician (Chris), I was told that it was impossible because they didn't have any that slow. I guess I was seeing things and had no clue what I was doing. In trying to resolve these issues, I had called 8/17, 8/18, 8/30, 9/1, and 9/8 with finally no answer to my calls. Every other time I called I was told that they would get back to me ASAP, but I would receive no return calls. I am now stuck with purchasing additional parts and finding another POS system to replace the inferior unit for a client who wanted specific requirements for these units. This "business" has a F rating with the BBB for a reason. In short, if you value your time and money, shop elsewhere as any endeavor with this company will surely be a waste of both. eRecycler has a great electronics recycle program that redeploys more reusable electronics than it scraps. We love that they don't just strip and ship raw materials oversees and look at every collection as an opportunity to provide affordable electronics to a secondary national and local market. It's important considering the life-cycle of the our current electronic assets getting shorter and shorter because the tech industry is moving so fast. When you've got electronics that are being retired from your organization, asset disposition and management can be a real headache if you don't have the right vendor. These guys are great at working with us to streamline the workflow within our asset management systems. And yes they are family owned and that's a bonus too because they make us feel like an extension of their recycling vision. in other words they do the hard work and we can take credit. read more
