When we…read morestarted we were total beginners and Christina was very patient with us and very upbeat about our progress, even as newbies. Pilates was great for our bodies individually, and it was also a great activity for us to do as a couple. My husband is strong in a lot of ways, but it was really great to see how Pilates got to new places in his body and strengthened them. I definitely strengthened my core muscles in a way that I didn't know was possible, and it is now easier for me to sit up straight and have posture better. I was especially needing this inner core tightening after having two children, and think that all women who have had babies can really use Pilates after having things all stretched out in the mid section and the pelvic floor :) People have asked both my husband and I if we grew taller since we started our Pilates classes, and we no doubt feel taller because of our regular private Pilates classes. Being strong in our bodies through our Pilates classes has improved our lives all around. I think when you are strong in your body, you are stronger in your life as well. Each one makes a real effort to know your name and your challenges/goals or just to chit chat after class. The classes have enough consistency that you get into a comfortable rhythm while each instructor has their own style and twist so that you stay on your toes (hehe). As soon as I think I've got it, they throw a new move in that shakes a muscle I never knew I had. This is such a positive start to my day. Not to mention, it's great for all fitness levels. The instructors suggest modifications throughout class to meet the needs of all clients. The classes never get easier but you get stronger (and become addicted so you have to come back all the time). Another aspect that sets PBCH aside are their virtual classes. Several live classes are offered throughout the day. If a client misses a class, they have access to hundreds of prerecorded classes. Times are crazy right now but PBCH is an excellent way to distract yourself for 50 minutes while you lift, tone and burn!

Because of this I never saw any growth or challenge in my yoga and after 15 sessions got real tired of her use of only a few basic poses (pigeon pose was one of them) If you aren't limber she will push you down into the pose until you literally have to yell STOP! (not only does this hurt it can cause injury) Bobbi has her followers but she recently had to move and downsize her studio, another clue that things aren't what they should be there. My advice: go for one or two sessions then decide for yourself.

I had been happily attending until a series of negative events caused me to cancel my membership…read more It started with my nephew who had been involved in kids Academy, and wound up breaking his arm there. He reported, slipping and falling on something wet, which leads me to believe that the facilities weren't being properly monitored for cleanliness and safety around children. The following week, my son fell in his lip was busted, but the team in charge of kids academy really had no explanation as to how that happened either. Finally, in an attempt to relax recently, I chose to enjoy the steam room and hot tub on site. Both rooms had mold on the floor, and when I went to take a shower, I found that someone had detangled their hair and smeared it on the wall of the shower and that no one had bothered to clean it up. At over $200 a month for the membership you would expect that maintenance will be available and that I would not have had hair balls flying at me when I tried to get in the shower, but that is not the case. I reported this issue to the front desk and they gave me the email address to their manager. Unfortunately, I was given the wrong email address and the email bounced back. I copied the overarching Life Time email address in my communication and all I received was an automated email saying that my membership has been canceled. No acknowledgment of my experiences there. Extremely disappointing.
