I have lived at 10 Emerson Place in The West End, in Boston, going on my 4th year and I just love it!
The location is great, go over Storrow Drive with the walking/biking bridge and your at the Charles River, a great place for a walk, a bike ride, a place to listen to music in the summer or just watch the sun set. An 8 minute walk and your at the TD Garden, if you are a Bruins fan like I am, its perfect, you are 4 minutes to the Green line, 10 minutes to the Orange line and 8 minutes to the Red line. However it is more then just the location.
The apartments were built in 1979, I know you are thinking old, but NO, they are in the process of doing them all over with beautiful floors and outstanding kitchens and baths and because they were built back then they are large apartments, big enough for kings size beds and your nice size living room/dining room furniture or to have some friends over.
One of the nicest part of living here is the people. Both the people who live there, many like me have been there many years and the people who work for Equity, the company that manages the buildings. There are 8 building that make up the West End neighborhood. The Equity staff is great. Kristine works very hard at making sure this is a place that you can meet your neighbors. They have movie night, holiday parties, paint night. She collects toys and clothing for the Shriners Hospital around the corner, she has us clean our closets in the spring and then donates our clothing to shelters. When the pool is open in the summer, well then it's Magarita time. There is a great place to workout, with the latest of equipment and lots of workout classes to choose from. There is also a beautiful dog park.
I have had the pleasure to work with both Ashley and Lillie in the Leasing office, they are not just professional at all times but they go out of there way to make sure that everything is taken care of for you. The maintenance staff is the best. When I do have an issue I just log on the Equity Website in the am to report my problem and in the evening when I get home everything is fixed, with a nice note.
I lived in the suburbs for many years and when I moved to Boston I was not sure where to go, I have tried different neighborhoods and different apartments and I will tell you this feels like home.
If you are looking for a comfortable place, in the center of things in Boston and with great people to work with and a nice Neighborhood then 10 Emerson and the Equity group is the place to be. read more
