We moved in from out of state as we needed to live out of boxes on a temporary lease while we were house hunting. We got here less than a week before before the COVID shut downs so we didn't get to use the amenities like the pool, gym, BBQ area but it all looked nice. While the apartments are nice, I would say the construction of the cabinetry or the appliances aren't quite the best quality, it all looks nice and it all works which is the most important thing. I've lived in apartment complexes before and some of them bank on hitting you for fees especially at move-in and move-out. This is not the case. The staff from the maintenance people to the management are attentive and actually care. A case in point: we had a cat which is $50/month pet me. He was an old man and got sick. We had to put him to rest. We had already paid our rent and they had no problem crediting back the monthly pet fee and adjusting the rate. There is a package locker here but most of the time the Amazon workers don't care and dump the packages in the lobby of the building you're in. No amount of correspondence from the management here could ever possibly rectify that because the people delivering the packages don't get paid enough to care. As a result, some packages end up in weird places. On a couple occasions someone from the staff had actually brought over some things outside our door, which was much appreciated especially during the height of the COVID outbreak when we were limiting our entrance and exit through common areas. The one time I had to file a noise complaint it was handled immediately. This is the place where you're walking around and the maintenance staff will ask you how you're doing. Stop and ask to see if everything is all good and make sure nothing doesn't need to be fixed. We moved out because we found our perfect home. We didn't hold our breath thinking they could re-lease the unit but we were able to get off the last month and one week of rent owed because someone leased the unit we vacated. We had no issue getting the deposit back - minus the replacement cost for the blinds our toddler broke. We really liked the short distance to the ALDI and Stop And Shop and other places. Would've loved to have been able to frequent the bar up the road, it was just opening up its outdoor space by the time we moved. A+ no regrets. Thanks Todd, Craig, and everyone else. read more

Long and thorough review alert! About Me (what type of renter am I): With my job I relocate every 3 months and for the past ~2 years I've had no desire to stay at the same place for longer than 3 months. The key things I look for in an apt is safe, clean, affordable (can you even say this in MA lol), free parking, and my own bathroom (typically live with roommates). Wellington Place: I moved here Mar 2020, to take over someone's lease that lost their job. It fit the bill of what I was looking for, in addition to being in walking distance (within 10 minute walk) of my top grocery stores: Aldi, Trader Joes, and Stop & Shop. Its approx 15 min walk to Assembly Row, 5 min drive to Target and Costco, and 5 min drive to Wegmans. Its by far the most convenient location I've lived in within the US. Its a quick drive to Boston about 15-20 min drive and about 20 min drive to Burlington where I frequent for work. Lastly, its about 5 min walk to Orange line Wellington T stop. If you have a car, parking is plentiful here, no long treks to the car :). Aside from location I loved that they have trash and recycling drop off on each floor; hence, you don't have to worry about stepping foot outside to throw away trash. I'm an avid recycler so I loved that they had this option available (my previous apt in Burlington didn't). The rooms are huge. I have my office inside of my bedroom and a queen size bed and I still have more space. I also have a good size walk-in closet. However, my roommate's room and walk-in closet is much bigger than mine (I'm sure she can fit in addition to a desk a small couch in her room). When it comes to cost, they are very affordable for the location. I try to keep a hard cap on living expenses (no more than 1,500 a mo. including utilities). Lastly the staff from the maintenance team to the leasing office are customer-centric. I had initially told them that I would be moving after 3 months once I moved in but I fell in love with the place. They provided concessions to ensure that I was a happy a customer. Maintenance staff are very responsive and do a good job of following up after they fix items to ensure it works. I honestly wish that these were condos instead of apt because I would definitely look into buying here. If you're looking for an A1 experience I highly suggest Wellington Place :). read more

We moved back in September 2008 under the old management. True, the old management was lackluster, but that is why they were replaced. The new management is awesome and we've never had a problem with communication or getting anything we need. We renewed our lease in September 2009 for another year. For the price, you can't beat the location. We are right across the street from the Wellington T stop, and just 3 stops to North Station. It's only 7 minutes by car to downtown Boston. And a cab ride from downtown is almost always under $15. Within a mile in any direction you have anything you could possibly need - supermarkets, CVS, Target, Costco, Staples, you name it. The location is phenomenal, but the amenities are above all else. There is a great gym that is rarely overcrowded. The pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day and you have the Mystic Park, which is a great place to relax, read a book, go for a run or take a walk. All in all we are very happy with Wellington Place. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great location and great value. read more

Wellington is a fabulous, convenient, safe and modern place to live within minutes of Boston. We've been living here for over 5 years and truly feel part of a great community. The staff and management are dedicated, helpful and kind. The amenities are incredible (gym, pool, dog park). And the location with ample parking is unbeatable. Wellington Place Apartments in Medford is an apartment complex that has everything you could dream of to love where you live! When my sister and brother in law lived in an apartment here for over 5 years, I went to visit them here very often. This place is BEAUTIFUL; great amenities, ample parking, very safe, the chance to reside with the most friendly community of residents of all ages, extremely clean and consistently maintained and updated inside and outside the buildings to perfection. The gym is open 24 hours with great equipment and the pool area was my favorite place to relax, including an outside upscale grill and fridge for the tenants to use freely. They even made a gated area on the property for a dog park to let your dogs run around without a necessary need for a leash! The staff was always extremely friendly, caring and accommodating. Hector, a staff member of the maintenance team, is SO helpful and nice, always greeting people with a big smile. He treats everybody genuinely and respectfully while being able to remember every resident's names. I had seen him outside many times late at night, walking around the complex and where the cars are parked, making sure there was not any unusual or suspicious behavior or people coming in that were not residents. It proved how safe this place really is and how much the staff truly care for the safety and protection of their residents. I miss this place so much since my sister moved, and would live there myself without hesitation if I still lived in the area. I always recommend Wellington Place Apartments in Medford to anyone looking to move and looking to fall in love with a perfect place to call home. read more

The management in this place is awful. Medford is awful. But it is close to the Stawp & Shawp.

We used to live here a few years back, and ended up moving because the location of our employers and our schedules for work required that we use public transit on a regular basis. We found out once we lived here that the access to the T station is more challenging than we realized at first. It's not terrible, but it is not as straightforward as we would have liked. So anyhow, we moved away to another apartment. Wow, was that ever a mistake. This place was actually really pretty nice, and the rent, while a little high, was totally more reasonable than where we ended up after we left here. The staff was very friendly, and the experience of living here was generally very good. When we moved in we had to sign a paper stating that we understood we were very close to the T and there could be noise, etc. Let me tell you, when the trains came through, especially the Commuter Rail, they were LOUD. I mean, really loud. If we had our windows open we couldn't hear each other when the trains were going past. I seem to remember there being one on average every 10-15 minutes, although I could be off a little bit. Anyhow, believe it or not we actually got used to it and it wasn't really all that big a deal. The apartment had plenty of room, and with the friendly staff we really never had any problems here. In retrospect, we probably should have stayed. I would recommend this apartment complex to people looking for a place to live in Medford. read more

I just moved out since I wanted to move to Cambridge. This place was really home for me and my meow for the last two years. It's more of a family neighborhood, for kids, students who likes to focus on things and like to have privacy. Pros: Sppaacious, big storage space,w/d in unit, modern kitchen. Amazing stuff, Dan, Daniel and Hector are really responsive and helpful, made this place really homey. Pool and gym, secure gate management. Near the markets. Pet friendly meow Cons: Some walking distance to the T Wall is not too sound proofing, I could hear my neighbor's loud TV through the wall, usually after three knocks they'll turn the volume down tho:) As said neighborhood doesn't have a lot going on, but activities will be held for the tenants to meet up and have fun. I would recommend living here if you don't mind walking a bit to the T and enjoy the family-style neighborhood. read more

I lived at Wellington Place from 2/12 - 2/16 and I found it to be a great place to live. Dan W., Dan C. (Leasing and Property Managers) and Hector (Maintenance) (and I'd like to include April (Property Manager that moved within the company)) were all great and extremely helpful. The parking lot was enormous and never had a problem finding a spot. The Pool and gym were well maintained. The drawbacks would be the walls are a little thin and you can hear you neighbors. Walking to the T was more difficult than I would have hoped, I was also in a train track facing apartment and you would have to adjust the TV volume when a train went by every 4 to 8 minutes. Even with these negatives I really liked living at Wellington Place. read more

I have lived at Wellington Place for nearly 18 months, and will soon be relocating out of state for work. I cannot tell how disappointed I am to be leaving this place. It has truly been a pleasure living here, everything from the property management to the leasing office and maintenance staff, they are as good as it gets! From Day 1 of my apartment search, Dan W. and Dan C. (Leasing / Property Managers) have gone above and beyond. They are approachable, friendly, and genuinely concerned with the needs of the Wellington Tenants. The office is well organized and inviting, and I have never heard a single complaint of an unpleasant experience. Further, Hector and the maintenance team are an absolutely outstanding asset to the Wellington Property, and again, ALWAYS willing to go above and beyond to assist tenants in a timely manner (if not immediately). Good people doing good business. Between the pool and grill area, dog park, and Wellington-sponsored events (i.e. Paint Nite, BBQs, Running Club), there is a genuine sense of community at Wellington unlike any other apartment complex I am familiar with. Most people have lived here well beyond their initial lease term, and there is no doubt that I would stay here much longer if I were staying in the Greater Boston Area. Should you find yourself looking for a new apartment, look no further. Keep up the great work, Wellington. read more

Let's go over the good: The units are reasonable (albeit built to a price), make good use of space, is a short walk to Wellington Station and multiple supermarkets and pharmacies, and is less than 5 minutes from 93 and right off of 28. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and at least expresses the willingness to make things right, and most residents (and their dogs) seem nice. Now let's go over the rest. ---- I originally signed a reservation for an apartment after a tour. However when I inquired about going to sign a lease, I received no response on multiple occasions. Needing to get things taken care of (I was not renewing at my current apartment) I showed up in person to investigate. This is when I was told the unit I reserved (and the garage I also wanted to lease) was no longer available. This is a serious problem when you've had to give notice at your current apartment. I was shown the only other available similar unit. It had multiple 4 to 6 foot gashes in the ceiling and obvious signs of previous water damage. There was at least one previous episode of leaks from the unit above. I was told it would be addressed. Having given notice at my current residence (and it already being leased out), I had to give the benefit of the doubt and signed a lease despite enormous reservations, but deciding to put my faith that things would be made right. It would be about two months before a garage became available. For two months I had no access to my car as it was parked in another city. The day I moved in, it was noticed there were obvious leaks in the main living area of the apartment. It was immediately brought to management, who scheduled repairs. In the interim, part of my living room remained in my bedroom and in the closet, and I didn't use that part of the living room. The drywall itself was addressed, but no repairs were made to the roof despite the fact (which I pointed out) that there were obvious signs of long-term leaks in the roof. Six weeks later, there is again signs of water damage. Again this is brought to management. Again I move part of my living room into my bedroom, and have still not unpacked a fair number of my belongings. Again the ceiling drywall was addressed. A roofing repair company was brought out, but they apparently failed to address the core issues (holes in the roof sheathing). Hey, guess what happened? The roof leaked again. At this time temperatures were dropping. I ended up having 10-12 square feet of no ceiling, in which outside air could pass directly into. This remained for about a month until proper repairs were made by a new roofing company. This time I made requests to be compensated for the electricity use of large blower fans and humidifier ($7/day in electricity) and was compensated, but I never was compensated for this for the two previous repairs. Overall I lost the use of my living room for 6 to 7 weeks of the year, and although management was apologetic, an apology was all I got. During a period of two months, it was obvious there was someone smoking on the floor. The smell was evident from my bathroom, and sometimes from the main living area. I have no issue if someone chooses to smoke, but the property has a strict no smoking policy (and cigarette disposal right outside the entrances). A PSA was sent out by management, but it continued for about two months. Singed wrapping papers (for joints) and burnt matches could be found in the trash room on the floor on multiple occasions and both once pointed it out to maintenance staff, and once brought the evidence to management. For at least 9 months, noise of a neighboring apartment was also a problem. The culprit were two consecutive tenants placed by a commercial relocation service. For one, their children would regularly run and scream in the hallway. This was even witnessed (and commented to management) by the maintenance staff. I won't blame children for not knowing better, but being awoken on a weekend to a child literally screaming outside your door is an issue. They would slam the doors of an adjacent storage room and their apartment door, about every 3 to 5 minutes, for hours on end. This was loud enough that when on a phone call, the person on the other line could hear it. I was assuaged by management that they would address the problem (and I did witness them directly addressing the tenants on one occasion), but the problem never really was curbed until about 6 or 7 months after I brought the recurring issue to management. I've been informed that they no longer work with this company, but again, an apology was all I got. ---- My situation seems to be quite exceptional, and I think most people would find the property to be a good value for money and the staff easy to deal with, however I had a terrible year and need to ensure people know that if things go sideways... you're on your own. read more

I can't, with a good conscience, recommend that ANYONE live here. Here are the pros and cons though of this community: Pros: 1. Ample Parking - tons of spots, so no issues there, even if you get home late. 2. Quick walk to the Wellington T stop (even if 1 part is mildly treacherous), it's still pretty safe. 3. The complex has a nice appearance, and feels safe in general. Cons: The quality of the interior construction of the place as an apartment complex is so bad there isn't a word in the English language to do it justice. You hear EVERYTHING that any neighbor does. ANYTHING. Every door that shuts you will hear, every footstep from above, every toilet flush from next door...I mean, neighbors just having conversations....It's like having Charlie Brown's teacher perpetually in your ear. And if your neighbor likes music, well, I hope you do too, because you'll hear every beat of the bass - it's a real pleasure when they "sing" along. Then there are the smells....oh the smells. Neighbor smokes? Your apartment will smell like you do too. Most of the time it's just near the front door where the odor creeps in through the poor seal....which is near your kitchen. Net: Don't be fooled by the appearance of the place. It does look nice, but if you at all value your ability to watch TV without listening to your neighbor's stereo, or sleeping on your schedule and not your neighbors', this place is NOT for you. We have lived at Wellington Place Apts for more than 3 years now. When we first moved here we were only planning to stay here for a short term, but we are in so much love with this place, we are still here. We call it Wellington Community, most of the people who live here know each other, everyone is super nice and very friendly. We get to know each other better at the social gatherings and events organized by the management almost every month. The staff are like family to us, they all are very cooperative, highly experienced, professional and always ready to help. The services and amenities are always top notch. They offer clean, modern 1-2 bedroom luxury Apts, have great big dog park (for your furry babies) outdoor garages, 24 hour gym (with amazing exercise machines and equipments), FREE PARKING(I cannot emphasize on this more - FREE PARKING), clubhouse, gorgeous swimming pool, outdoor grills, a great outdoor fire pit area with an additional grill and a flat screen (for your outdoor parties or game nights), additional storage units in all the buildings, bike storage units, few mins to the T stop, faster to get to downtown Boston, all major shopping outlets within few mins drive away. Great location and Great place. I would recommend you to check it out for yourself. read more

I have enjoyed living here. Hector and Ben (the maintenance/technicians guys) are the most friendly and helpful people. When my washer broke, they were both in my apartment for hours trying to fix it . When they couldn't fix it, they put a work order in for a new one and it arrived the same week. It is so nice to have reliable and friendly people working where you live. If management would make the floors and walls more sound proof, this place would be perfect. read more

(DO NOT RENT IN THE BACK AREA, SEVERE FLOODING OCCURS, please ask what area you will be in before signing your lease) It's been 3 months since my roommate and I called Wellington Place our home, we once felt it was a safe environment BUT that was far from the truth. Our apartment is located in the very back area where there is severe dangerous flooding every time it rains. We were told by Sandra a machine would come to pump out the water during rain storms, but after 3 months of not seeing these machines, I was told by another leasing agent the City of Coppell no longer permitted the use of the machines since last year. I wonder why we were not told this before we sign a death trap lease. Now, we asked for a transfer to the 2nd floor due to the dangers this flooding is putting my small dog in; if we are not home and the flood waters enter our apartment who will be there to make sure my dog is safely removed??? Of course not the employees of Wellington Place. And sure they give us an option to move to the 2nd floor as quoted by one of the employees "We want to make you happy" not true at all, they just want more money. In order for us to transfer (keep in mind we only been here 3 months), We have to pay AGAIN a $1025 deposit, $300 for pet and $150 for a transfer fee, plus additional $1025 for rent. But, still no one apologized to us for not telling us the truth about the water removal machines before we signed the lease, we're still waiting for that, also they want more money from us, WOW unprofessional, it hasn't even been 6 months. We so over this PLACE. We were fools to believe this was home. (See pics on our google review, this is how it looks after a rainstorm has passed 5 days ago, just imagine when it storms) I was told by my neighbor it flooded so bad she had to stay in a hotel for 7 months. And the water level was waist deep. Please note those 5-star reviews are based off $25 gift card compensation when you first move in to leave a review, and we fell for that trap too. read more

The location of Wellington Place is great, right across the street from Station Landing and the orange line, but without the jacked up rent prices of living in Station Landing itself. The apartments are clean and new and large by Boston standards. The parking can't be beat and amenities such as the pool and gym are nice to have as well. The people who live in my building all seem to be very polite and will say hi and hold the door for you when you walk by. The only issue I had while living there was that the new management took forever to get anything done. My building was under construction for almost an entire year and all they did was paint and put new carpet in. read more

We've lived at Wellington Place for over a year, and it's been hands down the best renting experience I've ever had in my life (and we move frequently, so I've had many apartments and landlords over the years.) The property is perfectly maintained, they're constantly cleaning, painting, upgrading things around the property, refreshing the landscaping, and they do regularly scheduled maintenance checks and air filter replacements. They do a good job of communicating about upcoming maintenance, and other happenings. They recently repainted the parking lot and gave us two weeks notice, but we forgot to move our car for it. A normal landlord would have had us towed and found some extra fee to tack on, but they just kindly moved the cars of anyone who forgot like we did, to the other side of the lot for free. I feel like things around here are so already so nice but somehow keep improving, instead of normal bare minimum maintenance/expenses that other landlord put into their properties. At Wellington Place they respond to maintenance requests big or small immediately. The general atmosphere is clean, friendly, and quiet. They have a pool with lounge chairs, and a grill that you can use, tons of parking, a fenced dog park, a 24-hour gym, all the works. I was able to cancel my old gym membership - yay! I think they started a new running group for tenants, but I'm not awake early enough to find out what that's about, lol! The absolute best thing about this place is the management. Dan and his team have been 100% professional, paying attention to detail, all while being kind and personable, and we are only willing to move from here because we're buying our first home. I do love our apartment we have lived there for two years now The parking can't be beat and amenities such as the pool and gym are nice to have as well. But the fact that you can hear all your neighbors through the wood built frame of this building is defiantly a problem. Especially because of the cost of the apartments, I would like to live in a better quality complex for that amount per month. I rarely get sleep on the week nights for work because we are always woken up by either our next door or up stairs neighbors. It's ridiculous what you can hear and it's so loud that we are usually woken up all through the night! Also, the whole entire apartment is carpeted!!! Which is so tough to keep clean and not to mention horrible for allergies. The appliances are becoming outdated. Our dishwasher brakes on a regularly basis and now the complex has been bought out by another company and they are raising our rent $200 a month! Absolutely ridiculous! Needless to say we will be moving. read more
