I lived in a Laverty Lohnes Property in North Cambridge for over six years, and I loved it. In fact, I would no doubt still be there if various life changes hadn't necessitated a move. (As a matter of fact, my roommate stayed there after I left, until a new job relocated her to NYC. And whenever I have needed to move in and around Cambridge, the first call I have made was to Laverty, to see if they had any available apartments that would work.) As other posters have mentioned, their prices were very reasonable and rents were seldom raised, they were meticulous with maintenance, and Nancy in their office was always warm, cheery, and responsive. They always gave us 24 hours notice when they would be coming by to do repairs, they did repairs when they said they would, and they were always prompt with renewals, answering concerns, and other notifications. I just can't say enough good things about them. The woman who was in our apartment before we moved in had been there almost ten years. My friend who was the one that recommended I contact Laverty was in the building for five years. All told, my various roommates and I were there for almost eight years.
