They are located close to Providence and lots of shopping g nearby in Seekonk. The office staff has been friendly, patient and responsive, especially Tracey. The maintenance staff is always responsive and quick, we can't thank Jeremy enough. We looked at other apartment communities and this one has great amenities (in-unit laundry, pool, fitness center, tennis courts, etc) especially for the price. There are a couple of reasons for taking the star away. One is that the wall on the side of the stove doesn't have a backsplash so it was easily stained pretty immediately. The second is that there is only one trash area on the property, forcing you to either walk a good distance to get rid of trash, or put it in your car to dispose of it. Finally, the bedrooms and living room area don't have overhead lighting, so you have to have lamps unless you want to sit in darkness. Also, the AC doesn't go below 70 degrees. You are responsible for your own utilities so I'm not sure the rationale there, but it was a pretty warm August for us.

I think the design is really intentional and beautifully restored and I noticed a ton of original pieces of machinery and decor reused from the original factory. There are so many surprises within this one building. A bunch of apartments above, the shared office space and incubator kitchen on the main level. A bocci ball court, cornhole, grill and picnic tables in the courtyard. There is also another building out back that is not currently being utilized but is another amazing (small) space for something amazing once they figure out its intended purpose. My favorite part is the amount of items they salvaged during the rehab. From machinery to metal drawers, they incorporated as much as they could into the overall aesthetic of the place. Kudos to a great job and preserving such a hidden gem.

PEERLESS Firstly,…read morelet me say that I've only lived here about a week. So far, I've had more pros than cons. Pros: Staff is very friendly, and always willing to help with whatever issues I may have. Security is good, and you never worry while coming home late. It's simply a beautiful building with a very interesting past. It used to be a club that would play some real headliners. My apartment is spacious and bright, with original floors and all. Cons: It's very noisy on weekends (but of course it would be as any place would that's surrounded by bars) The windows (this is a personal issue, and not something that is really a complaint) I'm short. Opening those windows were a real struggle and now I can't close them because I can't reach. This mean's I'll have to call maintenance for a ladder each time I want them opened or closed. The food dispenser was clogged and the washer was filthy, again a personal problem because they offered to clean and fix everything before I moved in but I chose to move in sooner rather than later, not giving them time to fix the issue. The only real issue I have is that there are fruit flies in my apartment and they are PERSISTENT. Having worked in the bar industry for five years, you'd think I would be able to get rid of them but they just keep breeding. I don't know if this is a maintenance issue that I can call them on, or if I have to call some form of pest control. The only reason it bothers me so much is because my kitchen is always clean, and yet they are just here. I hate that they keep getting into my cat's food when I leave it out for her. ALL IN ALL, I would def recommend the peerless building for anyone wanting to be downtown.

They have had multiple machines that haven't worked for seven months, Two of the four cheap cardio pieces have out of order signs on them. The facility never gets a thorough cleaning. It is very limited equipment. It has two televisions only one works. I wouldn't rent here. I wouldn't own here.

Everything is always very well maintained (hallway carpets are washed several times a year, walls repainted when scuffed, etc), the concierge services are very pleasant and have your packages ready when you walk in, they host great social events including local brewer tastings and holiday parties, pool, jacuzzis, gym and theater you can rent out, plus garaged parking. Although the prices are creeping up for providence unfortunately, the city as a whole is growing and that is true anywhere. At least here amenities help to compensate that price increase. Not to mention being central to everything-walking distance to the mall or downtown, plenty of guest parking for overnight visitors and a great group of people who are generally respectable in the building.

Went trough the process of going through the application and giving all information they wanted,…read moreeven the $500.00 holding fee that was understood to get back if things did not go as planned, well fees were discussed that all of a sudden came up after they had seen a checking statement, when asked for the $500.00 holding fee back was told it was non refundable, when asked to look at an apartment they dragged there feet and once shown a place it was too small yet offered me another place at much more money, very deceptive bait and switch tactics, do yourself a favor and don't rent here because they are dishonest and nothing more than common thieves
