One of my best friends always lived just behind the station when we were kids. I associate this station with going to her house before a school disco or babysitting her little brother with her while we watched Clueless and Sweet Valley High reruns.
Said friend is now married with 2 kids and said little brother is 16.
These days I associate this station with the ongoing building works (seriously, when will it be finished?) and the infuriating fact it is not within the Oyster zone. No, but seriously you need to be shouting this from the rooftops at other stations because you can 'bleep in' at stations previous, you just can't 'bleep out' here. I also almost got fined by the guy on the ticket barrier the first time it happened and I had to flirt to get out of it! The things us girls have to do, eh?
This station still delivers me to one of my nearest and dearest friends so it remains very special to me ... just remember to buy an old-skool paper ticket.
