It took about 7-10 minutes for my food to be done. I ordered the Sifrina which is an arepa with shredded chicken, cheese, mayo, and avocado. I've been to Pana before and usually go for the Pabellón arepa, which is also delicious, but this time I tried the Reina Pepiada, and wow. It's made with shredded chicken, mayo, and avocado. The arepa was extra crispy, which I loved. Honestly, even as a Colombian, and someone who grew up eating arepas all my life, I have to say, this Venezuelan version is amazing. Super flavorful and well-balanced. Germán, the owner, was super welcoming as always. He told me they're opening a new location in San José, which is way closer to me, and I'm honestly so excited to visit them there too! The vibe that day was perfect. There was live music playing, people dancing, and I was just sitting there enjoying my arepa in the sun with all that great energy around me. If you haven't tried Pana, you're missing out. The food, the people, the vibe, todo was on point.

It's also in a cool location, several other eateries and drink spots to check out. We had 2 super burritos that were customized (one no sour cream, one no beans, both with 2 meats. The crispy beef tacos (fam favorite), and a fish taco (too spicy for me!), oh and chips and salsa. Cons- the super burritos were supposed to come with guacamole, but neither did. Didn't think about it until my son asked, but we were pretty much done eating at that point. We also had to pay for chips and salsa. Never a fan of that. The bag of chips and the salsa containers were also small. If you're going to charge, you should make it worth it for the customer(s). With tip, it was just over $70 bucks in total. Overall we all enjoyed our meal. Next time I'll look for the guacamole earlier, to make sure we get it! The location is near my son's place, so we will likely be back!

I'll start out by saying that the food I tried was quite tasty but... I had the Banh-Torta, an attempt at a fusion of the Vietnamese Banh Mi and the Mexican Torta. You can get either of these on their own in San Jose for about 6 bucks but adding guacamole makes this Bahn Mi 9 bucks? The bread had a tough bite, not the crunchy crust and soft center of a killer French baguette or the yummy texture of a great Torta roll grilled on a flat top. More like a day old sourdough that wasn't sour, not a good fit in my opinion. Lots of good flavored fillings like pickled and fresh jalapenos, and Sriracha mayo. The real disappointment was that everything was cold. If the steak was first warmed on the grill (standard practice for any food truck) or the bread was toasted or something to add some warmth to the equation, maybe I would have been swayed to 4 stars. I know they are just starting out and this is the first Yelp review but I did mention I was going to add them to Yelp and Rachel the chef/owner handed my wife her cold sandwich while smoking a cigarette with the other hand. I'm not sure if this is some sort of health code violation or what but California's no smoking laws don't allow smoking within 25 feet of any door or window leading to a place that serves food. Smoking in the kitchen is a pretty bad display of disregard in my opinion. I won't be lining up next time this truck is in town but you should try them for yourself and hopefully my honest review gives them some direction for success.

I ordered the quesadilla with cochinita pibil and a quesadilla with carnitas rancheras. The food came out quickly especially considering the long line! Both were flavorful and delicious, but my favorite was the carnitas rancheras. Overall, if you are trying to decide between what food truck to visit, this one should be at the top of your list!

We had come specifically for the food, but the live music was an unexpected bonus. The ordering system was pretty straightforward: they have a few plating options, with 5 options of "guisados" and 5 options of sauce (I hesitate to call it salsa, because one of them tasted more like a sriracha mayo). Pictured is their $14 taco plate option, featuring all of the meat offerings (carnitas, chicken mole and cochinita pibil, per Instagram). They also serve a vegetarian and a vegan option. I highly recommend the chicken mole. It was flavorful and saucy in all the right ways. I ordered their 3rd and 4th sauces. 4 was a little spicier, so I recommend 3 if you're unsure. I also recommend checking their Instagram (@cococthefoodtruck) for upcoming schedules.

I would like to think that Im good at choosing places to eat, but moving to Santa Cruz continues to challenge my confidence. Its gotten so bad, that ive reached a point where I won't try new places out here with other people because of this fear that ive. built up not wanting to dissatisfy someone else with a terrible meal. I decided to give this place a shot because I was craving chicken wings. The pictures all looked pretty good but when io got my order the wings were soggy wet with I dont want to know because I ordered a dry rub chicken wing and instructed to put the sauce on the side if there was any sauce in efforts from letting the wings go soggy. nI just about opened the box and at first glance I reluctantly gave it a sniff, and immediately gaged. I didn't bother to try a single wing because of how disgusted looking and smelling this... some sort of food people actually eat???? I was so disappointed and just in such shock on how a simple business of chicken wings would be that messed up and that unappetizing this order screamed. I even went over to one of my housemates who had this immediate look of disgust and said,'Oh no, girl. it looks like they need to be heated up" I should have known that this place wasn't going to be the cream of the crop and that if I had any dream of being a detective there's just no way. I should have made the connection looking at the pictures and prior reviews. If you're thinking about chicken wings you're better off going to wingstop or airfare frozen wings.

What I got was far from that. $16 got me a very lightly filled "Philly cheesesteak" that was filled what what appeared to be "steak umms." After browsing their Instagram page I was fully expecting the tender and large cuts of meat and portion advertised as I have attached but whatever I got was far from what was advertised. Coupled with undercooked vegetables and thin processed meat that was what appeared and tasted to be seasoned with taco seasoning, this was far from a "Philly cheesesteak." They advertise in their Instagram bio that they have "The best sandwiches and burgers in town" but what I experienced today leads me to feel strongly otherwise. To those that want a Philly cheesesteak, I'd advise you to go somewhere else, and for those seeking a similar experience, try the frozen Philly cheesesteak you can find at the Dollar Tree.
