She said she used the gift card almost two weeks ago and had since made another appointment since then. I think they only need a days notice. Went in with super chapped hands and untrimmed nails from a whole month of traveling and neglect; came out with soft hands, neat trims, and shiny happy new nail colors. The nail trimming / cuticle shaping / hand care / etc are done with so much attention to detail and her polish application skills are top-notch :) I'm a perfectionist and you can imagine how happy I get when my nail colors always come out smooth and pretty. I decided to come here with my boyfriend because he really needed a massage. He's been working over time nearly everyday and stands a lot. It seemed like a really good idea to gift him a relaxing morning. While he did that, I decided I'd get a manicure to help pass the time. Mirabel was amazing at helping us do the booking and being very clear about the costs etc. Absolutely wonderful! Starting with the boyfriend's experience: the hydrotherapy was nice, but it was also not the most relaxing. He was getting splashed in the face a bit by the masseuse controlling the handheld jet which you can imagine is quite unpleasant, especially when you're meant to relax. He didn't enjoy it much but the effects of increasing circulation in the body certainly worked. He did enjoy the 45 minutes massage that followed thankfully. His masseuse was able to work out a lot of his knots in the shoulder and upper back. And he said that was very relaxing and he wishes he would have just done a full 90 minutes of massage instead. If this review was based solely on the one service, 5 stars! The manicure was not great at all. I realize it's not what they specialize in, but I think if they plan to charge as much as a regular manicure bar for polish ($38) then they should invest in proper training for application and more color options. They didn't even have white. The website says choose from 150+ colors. What a lie. I walked in and there were about 40 pinks and purples + a small handful of random colors. Usually I'm having trouble deciding because I love all the colours. Here I was disappointed to see they did absolutely NOT have 150+ colors to choose from. That was upsetting and misleading. The hand massage was amazing and the prep was done well. They really got the cuticles formed nicely, though I am sensitive and had to mention it a few times. She was a bit rough with the sharper pointy tool. I was not very relaxed. What bugs me is that they didn't do a base coat and didn't properly cap the nails. The brand apparently doesn't require it but I think that's a very basic few steps to ensure the best longevity of the manicure for your client. They also paint in tiny strokes not fully down the nail so now that it's dry, I can see it's not smooth at all. It's been less than 24 hours, and I've done no heavy lifting or soaks. It's already chipped. I do my nails all the time with regular polish and chipping usually begins in 5 days or so, even with heavy lifting. The top coat was very thin and I think didn't do much to protect the polish, either. I would not recommend the manicures at all. Pedicures is a different story because they can help you treat the callouses etc. But I wouldn't spend the money here for a manicure again. You can't charge $38 + tax when you have very few color options, no base coat, and no good quality top coat. Update the wording on your website please to reflect that you have limited options. Over all, he enjoyed his massage, and the team members were extremely pleasant. The environment is nice with a fantastic steam room available to clients in the shower area. But after a lot of reflection on the entirety of the experience, I don't think I'll be back or really recommend them. When you're one of 100+ spas, you need to invest more into the services so people want to return, even when it's your smallest services. You have wonderful staff and fantastic location. Sadly, we enjoyed 1/3 services at the end of the day.

The waiting room was dimly lit and calming, and they had fresh infused water to drink. The change rooms were very clean, and the RMT I had was wonderful. Their Hammam Turkish Bath, and body treatments are also a treat. They provide you with a turkish wrap, robe, towels, and flip-flops for your visit so you don't need need bring too much with you on your visit. The use of their co-ed eucalyptus oil infused stream room (great for couples) is also complimentary with most services over $100. The exception are mainly a few facials as this can make your skin sensitive for the treatment. NEGATIVES: my experience here the past couple of years has been mixed, as the service is not as consistent as it used to be, the prices inflated quite a bit, and a lot of the staff appears to be changing more frequently than it used to. My rating for Hammam Spa fluctuates mostly between 3 and 4 based on my visits since the end of 2021 to the present. While the renovation is nice, the spa feels a little less cozy than it used to. I've also had a period of terrible service (with treatments and online orders) around the end of 2021 to early 2022, which made me take a break from this place, but things have improved since. They also recently replaced their plush white robes with shorter, thin robes made in the same fabric as their turkish wraps.

Dee was lovely and knowledgeable. She started with a skin consult and talked to me about my skin care routine. Then she made a recommendation to add a collagen mask which was an additional $40. I agreed to it as it was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself, however be prepared to be upsold on the intro pricing. She used Dermalogica products which seemed nice. A warming scrub and a few different masks. She also offered eyebrow threading which I was due for but in hindsight wasn't a good idea. It was painful and my eyebrows were done too thin for my liking. At the end she left the room to allow me to get together. I has eye makeup all over my eyes that luckily I wiped with a tissue before leaving the room or I wouldn't have realized. I wasn't offered the washroom or a mirror. Once I arrived back at the front, Dee showed me a couple of products she recommended for my skin. She didn't pressure me but said they would save them on file for future reference. I later looked them up and the ingredients lists weren't impressive. Both products contained dimethicone which is terrible for your skin but creates the look of smooth texture. I would expect that from cheaper products but not from products that were approximately $100 each. I was better skin, not better looking skin. All in all I would say it was ok. Dee was my favourite part of the facial but Hand and Stone is a money making business above all else.
