However, I was given a skin lighting cream to use in conjunction with my treatments and was not told that I needed to stop three days prior to my appointment. I ended up going to my appointment but was told that I needed to move the appointment to a different day since I had just used a lightening skin cream that morning. I was told to email the director to reinstate my appointment. In January he emailed me back and reinstated my appointment. I then went to the appointment he reinstated. Please find attached screenshots for reference of our communication. That happened in January and fast forward we are now in April. As time passed I really wasn't satisfied with the service provided so I decided to leave a review a week ago. After my review the owner unprofessionally revoked my last treatment session coming up in May. This was a complete separate appointment with a different laser which I paid for separately from the one he reinstated. I have already paid in full and he has not provided me a refund. He decided to cancel my last upcoming appointment out of spite due to my bad review and is trying to link it to the missed appointment that he already reinstated in January (almost 5 months ago). I truly wish I had read reviews before booking at this establishment. My background as a nurse gives me a different perspective. Some staff members seemed underqualified, contributing to an uncomfortable environment from the beginning. During my second laser session, the nurse appeared unsure of how to use the laser and needed assistance. The procedure was incredibly painful, resulting in scarring. Despite assurances that this was normal, the pain was intense, and six treatments have not improved the scars. I need to mention that a-lot of 5 star reviews are misleading because the owner often reinstates appointments in exchange for reviews. While I understand that not every client will have a negative experience, it's crucial to take the poor reviews seriously. Sometimes the issues can be remedied by how it is handled. However, the way the owner handles issues at this company demonstrates a lack of professionalism and extreme immaturity. In response to any criticism, he decides to just cancel your appointments unethically. I caution you that if you do have any negative feedback please leave them after all your appointments have been completed. Please see attached photos:

Considering my experience was over 5 months ago and I am still frustrated when I think of it, that means a lot!!!! Ms. Cruz did my nails and they turned out terrible!! She did not properly cut the cuticles and she rushed through the whole thing. When I brought up the cuticles to her, she became defencive. Considering I get a manicure every 2 weeks, my nails looked worse coming out of the salon then going in! Odd, eh?? I was leaving on vacation so I needed it done, but Ms. Cruz said she did not have time to fix it, continuing to be defencive. As my purchase was on-line through one of the deal vendors, I could not avoid paying her, as she already had my money! Clever. She knew this and made it clear she was not refunding me. At this point she didn't even give me the facial which was part of my deal. She told me to deal with the deal site, which I just do not have time to do. I went looking for a salon to get Shellac done - at around 7pm! I first stopped at the salon below Ms. Cruz's store at the back of the salon supply store. Unfortunately, they only do regular nail polish, but they giggled when I showed them my nails and asked if they think they are "done". That must mean something! I ended up going to another salon, just down Eglinton - Kozeta. They squeezed me in so I could have my spa treatment in before my vacation. When they saw the nail job Ms. Cruz did, they just shook their heads. I think what Ms. Cruz needs to learn is that it's not her "16 years experience" that matters. people make mistakes. It's the way you handle them. If you have that experience, you know when you do a terrible job. I felt treated like garbage by her, robbed of my money and a decent manicure and NO FACIAL at all. Unfortunately, I will have to be another "TERRIBLE" review in her 3 years of service that will need to be defended -much deserved.

They do offer some at the latest in health and wellness such as the vampire facial CO2 laser, cool sculpting, Botox, and a whole other plethora of treatment options I have fully healed from my combination treatment of IPL and CO2 laser I asked for a very aggressive treatment to tighten my skin rid of lines redness and pigmentation. I'm extremely happy with the results I healed very fast. The clinic did offer a follow up appointment with a nurse. Altogether it was a fantastic experience with great results. I'm very careful about who I recommend to go to certain clinics but this one is amazing and you definitely get results and what you paid for. I have been doing botox and fillers for years and have always told my injector what I wanted. At skinatomy they are so well trained that they told me exactly what I needed. I was hesitant at first but have never been so happy. I am so happy with the results. I've also gone to so many places for ipl and fraxel. I've never gotten any results until I started with skinatomy. The equipment they use is equivalent to what is used in plastic surgeons offices. The skinatomy staff is so great, always helpful and so well trained that it puts you at ease. I will be a client for life!!!

Currently I am using the Ducray face wash, which this clinic sells and the toner they medically prescribe. My skin is clearing up and becoming normal again. Over the years I have visited a few acne clinics and this is the one that has stood by me over the years. I recommend you check them out if you suffer from acne. If they advise you to stop using moisturizer and your skin doesn't start producing oil in a 6+ months, definitely return to see how they can help you. I went through one very scalely year when I was told not to use moisturizer.

Apparently, one milia was hard to extract, so - without first informing me - Dr Sliwowicz - decided to cut it out. I now have a big (2mm) cut under my eye, which he had to "glue" back together. Can't wear makeup and it looks like I got in a bar fight. It made me cancel my evening plans. He promises it will heal in 10 days, so I will update then. Right now - I'm really upset. If my undereye is messed up forever because of a poorly executed $25 extraction, I'm going to sue him. Either way, I think a doctor should ask before he cuts out a piece of your face! Especially when it's a cosmetic clinic so obviously I'm there to look better not a hell of a lot worse!

The 2nd: a sour owner who seemed miffed that my using her Groupon offer meant I was ripping her off. -- I mean, she is the one who agreed to the package price, and I'd called her directly rather so she wouldn't lose money to Groupon! Most unpleasant. I found Medica Laser Spa through Groupon, also, called them directly (which they appreciated), and they agreed to the same package price. Also, the area I need treating is not the face but the decolletage area, and they agreed to treat that area, instead. Their IPL treatments, though, are incredible by comparison! They do the regular treatment stuff (IPL, face serum, SPF cream) but then do much more: They do a couple of other serums and an oxygen bath. They spend twice the amount of time on me as the other places had. Medica Laser Spa's staff go above and beyond the minimum -- the best deal in the city for IPL that I've found. Plus, again, they're NICE. And I really like to support nice businesses and not feed the negative ones. The location is right beside the Eglinton subway station so the convenience is great. Considering location, it's all the more remarkable that this place is such a great deal. :D

The front desk is incompetent, and Dr. Gerber is extremely rude and dismissive. After sitting in…read morethe waiting room for 2.5 hours to see Gerber, he rushed me and interrupted me multiple times, saying "please stop talking" and "just answer the question," so I was not able to communicate my symptoms. I feel very unsatisfied and frustrated with our medical system after being treated this way. Thankfully, I was referred to another surgeon, but I had to contact the new surgeon's office myself to get the details of my upcoming appointment, as Dr. Gerber's front desk never reached out. It's a good thing I took the initiative because it took Dr. Gerber's office another two weeks to finally inform me of the appointment, which I already knew about because I had followed up on my own. While going through a serious health issue, the least you could do is allow me to communicate my symptoms, and let me know when my other appointment is in a reasonable amount of time. Hopefully, I will never have to go back to this office.

Hi guys! I've decided to be a bit of a #beautyblogger. I've been having such a hard time finding a…read moregood nail salon and artist to do my Biogel manicure. I was looking for reviews online on google and here, and there is hardly anything available. So, I've decided to share my experiences here. Hopefully, they will be useful for someone. On Tuesday, I tried @ananekebeautysalon. I went there to get my Biogel manicure refill. They are in Yonge and Eglinton area. This place was recommended to me, and it had such good reviews on Yelp, and BlogTo. Plus, with a personal recommendation, I thought it was going to be my go-to nail salon. Maybe it's just my luck but this is not going to happen. I do not remember the name of my nail artist. Here is a list of things I didn't like. 1) She took forever to do my refill, literally over 1.5 hours. I don't do anything complicated on my hands. Usually, it's just a French manicure which I was getting this time. She kept messing up the white lines on top of the nails and redoing them. And then again. And again. And again. ‍ While I did appreciate the effort to get it right, this is the first time somebody had to redo several times half of my nails. By the end of it, I wasn't sure that the lady knew what she was doing. 2) The lady didn't file the edges of my nails properly. I didn't notice it in the salon, but I noticed it later that day when I was already on my way home. 3) She was doing such a bad job filing my nails and cut so much skin next to the nail bed on one of my fingers that it hurt for a few days. 4) On Friday, four days later, the white gel polish started chipping on several of my nails. This is ridiculous. This is biogel. It last forever and can survive alien invasion, nuclear war, and zombie apocalypse. This is the reason why I do it: biogel is the only thing that doesn't chip on my hands for three weeks. I don't know how this lady did it that it started chipping so early. Not a happy customer here. Sadly, after this experience I can not recommend this place to anybody. Please avoid it. ‍
