I know with big salons like this it can be a hit or miss but I've been getting gel pedicures here for 5+ years and always am happy with the service. Affordable prices, clean place, and staff are always kind. read more

I genuinely come here all the time and am usually satisfied. Today was actually awful and that old lady needs to stop working. Came in for a fill and a pedicure(the lady who did the pedicure was sweet she's not the problem AT ALL) the older lady (Her name is Angie) who did my nails was over it from the beginning. When it came to color again FROM THE BEGINNING was so rude and literally told me to wait, put her hand up to my face, and walked away when i tried telling her what colors i wanted when SHE asked. I've had her before and always put up with the attitude because im not one to complain or care much (even though she's DISGUSTING and is always wiping her nose WHILE doing nails) I come to get my nails done not for customer service. I politely asked if i could get a coat of the darker brown on top of the lighter one. Ignored me. Me thinking optimistically, maybe she just didn't hear me since she's older. I asked again and she just recoated the light nail. When I said "Oh so we're just ignoring me." She just hummed a yes. The entire time I didn't mind paying extra for everything I asked AND some of the stuff they were upselling me. So I genuinely do NOT KNOW what her problem is other than that she's just a miserable old lady. They need to retire her already I don't care. I've come for years and have EVEN recommend it to others but now i'm so embarrassed that I have. AND if none of that is reason enough to not go there she was cutting up my cuticles so bad. The nails themself are fine but my fingers look BAD. Never going back all because of that experience. I feel so embarrassed after that, the only reason this is two and not one star is because the lady who did my pedicure she was so sweet and mentioned every up price to me. It should be Epic Nails embarrassed after this NOT me. Side note: if you do go at your own risk make sure to check the price of the work by the people who do it, a long time ago the man who seems like he's the one in charge/organizing everything tried scamming my mother and I once by charging more than what we got. My mom knew the math wasn't adding up and asked to see the receipts when he cowardly backpedaled and charged us the correct price. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing from start to finish. My mom and I came in for what we believed would be a basic manicure and pedicure. We ended up paying $170, which was far more than we expected. We were never given a clear breakdown of the pricing or told the total before the services were completed, so the final bill came as a shock. The experience became even more uncomfortable when my mom asked for a specific shimmery gold polish. Instead of simply helping us find a similar color, two staff members started arguing with each other in front of us about whether they had the color in stock. One employee even called the other "stupid," which was completely unprofessional and made the whole situation awkward. We came in with a positive attitude and even said we were happy to use a similar color if they didn't have the exact one. I'm honestly not sure what we did to deserve such poor treatment. We arrived around 11:00 a.m. and didn't leave until about 1:00 p.m., only to end up with an unexpectedly high bill and an uncomfortable experience. I understand that upgrades and add-ons cost extra, but customers should be informed of those charges before they're applied. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, the unprofessional behavior between staff, and the final price left us feeling taken advantage of. I won't be returning. read more

Epic nails, more like Epic Fail. One star is too generous. Leslie was shady and worked messy. They lie about prices and up-charge behind your back. Pay attention to what they start adding on your mani/ pedi. The only up charge I didn't catch was her "asking" me if I wanted my calluses removed. All she did was motion her hands and say "it's okay?" I assumed she was just asking if it was okay to start. Even if I actually wanted a $15 sorry excuse of a "callus removal" which was her scratching her nails on my legs with sugar scrub, I still wouldn't have paid for such a horrible polish job. Such a waste of money and experience to go get "pampered". read more

Epic Nails - $50 for this is a joke. - Nail Salons Near Me - San Fernando, California

Always pleased with my manicure and pedicure. I've been a client here for years and I usually just walk-in for services. I love their deluxe option for manicure and pedicure - so relaxing and worth the extra $! I always had positive experiences with all the ladies and gentlemen who work there, they are professional and work with attention to detail and in good timely manner - I have never been rushed out of the chair (like some or most Nail Salons do) and in my opinion the people who work at Epic Nails truly care about the quality of their work. I like their new comfortable chairs, and the massager. Also their backgroud music is nice and relaxing - there is a bit of chit chat among the staff, but it's never loud. I highly recommend this place to all, and in my opinion is better if you go early on the week when there are not big waves of people waiting for services. Epic Nail service for sure! Thank you for the years of positive services. Big shout out to Kathy, one of my favorite Nail techs there. read more

Epic Nails - Beautiful Nails and my cat = Happiness - Nail Salons Near Me - San Fernando, California

Overall this place is good . The lady doing my pedi drilled a little too long on my nail and burned me. But at the end I think she did a great job . $52 for gel pedi(40) + French tip (10 extra) and $2 for using a card . If you use Zelle it's no additional charge . I called and got sat right away but they were busy ,on a friday 10am, so make sure you have an appointment or call ahead of time . read more

Very expensive. I felt ripped off at the end. I'm a guy and just got a basic manicure. Well the service was good I would not expect to have been charged $40. I go to a different place on Gladstone and I pay $35 for a manicure and pedicure. I popped into this place because it was later in the evening and it was still open, never again. I don't understand how they can justify that when normally men's manicure is anywhere between $12 and $16, and they are charging the same amount for a manicure that they do for a pedicure. read more

I was a long time customer and my teenager daughter had an appointment with Leslie and without reason she refuse the service for my daughter, one of the owner explained that she is very picky with the customers and do not understand this behavior because I was thinking that I have a beautiful relationship with her. Happy Friday! I've been going to "Epic Nails" for as long as I can remember, so I thought about writing a 5 Star review today. Located in the City of Sylmar, on Glenoaks & Hubbard. There is always plenty of parking spots, but I like parking towards the back just to avoid all the traffic/people shopping at Smart & Final & Walgreens. I am a very simple girl when it comes to my nails, all I need to be happy is a gel manicure...& I kinda always go with the same colors...so yeah, I am an easy customer. I really don't mind which lady does my nails, I don't have a favorite one, as long as they are fast & do a good job. My sister on the other hand is the pickiest one, she likes her nails long, acrylic & perfect, so she always request the same girl. Tip for the business: The place could be a little cuter & maybe even a little cleaner. Tip for you: ALWAYS schedule an appointment. If you have a favorite girl, you can also request. Remember tips are cash only. I really missed this place during Quarantine, so I'm just really happy I get to have my nice manicure & pedicure. Thank you! read more

Writing this review on behalf of my sister, she was treated very rudely by the worker doing her mani & pedicure, she was being given very dirty looks, and noticed the whispers the lady doing her service was given. By the end of the appointment when she was trying to get up from the chair the lady denied her her socks until she tipped, which she of course did not mind but the lady literally shoved a card telling her she HAD to tip praticly bribing her for he socks back. She felt so embarrasse. read more

The lady that did my toe nails cut part of my skin, it was bleeding non stop, she put 2 different drops to stop the bleeding without telling me what she was applying on my toe, she would not stop until I told her that she was hurting me. I called him out on it, he also pretended he didn't know. What a disappointment!! read more

They do such a Terrible job a organizing appointments for they're customer I had a pedicure appointment at 10am today and told me I had to come back at 1 when I already had an appointment at 10am such terrible customer service and it's not the first time this happens all the time I'm tired of coming here and them always telling me to come back i definitely don't recommend at all 0/10 read more

This place does OK nails, and they are very pricey, but the service is horrible, I went in for a full set and pedi, the pedi looked horrible the polish didn't even look professional, the lady that did my full set cut me in 3 different fingers and didn't even Acknowledge that she cut me, clearly I was bleeding and never apologized or said anything acted like nothing happened, but before that when I walked in there was like 5-6 people doing absolutely nothing but sitting and sleeping, the service is horrible thats all I have to say. That same day there was also a lady that works there that was doing her own feet when a customer came in to get her nails done. She didn't even bother to wash her hands before she worked on the client, but yet she was working on her feet and her toes. And never once Did she wash her hands to work on the client. read more

This place is TRASH ! I went in for a gel pedicure, only for the lady to cut my cuticle super bad, act like nothing happened till I confronted her about it, and in the end managed to get a half assed apology. You'd think they'd try their best to be more cautious and gentle due to the pandemic situation, but that seems to be none of their concern. Let's not forget to mention the super RUDE JACKASS who greets you when you walk in, horrible customer service. I used to come here but I've switched to a private tech since & had to come here on emergency for a pedicure. Firstly, the lady drilled my old gel with the wrong drill bit & made my nails thin, she was rough on taking out dead skin & would awkwardly laugh & look up at me when she was DIGGING into my corners for absolutely nothing that was there. My nails on my big toes were completely different sizes, I couldn't tell in the moment because she was hurrying to finish up so I didn't get a chance to even see my toes. The polish itself was applied so unevenly it looked very bubbly, a lot of these women are UNEDUCATED on proper drill bits to use & how to apply polish & maintenance of cuticles. I'm surprised this place is still running. Not to mention how much arguing & gossip goes about the place between the workers which is very uncomfortable. Please avoid this place if you can read more
