Best way to your ski location and with free WIFI... We have been using Colorado Mountain Express (CME) to shuttle our family and friends at different times over the last several years from Denver Airport to Vail and then back to Denver Airport. They are a great operation, and they take care of you! They are very punctual and safe, unless hit by a storm on Highway 70 to Vail....thank you Rob. CME is a great service if you understand the nightmare that is the logistics of running an airport shuttle service from the mountains. For those that have complained if late pickups/dropoffs to or from the airport, let me drop some knowledge. I am a current driver for this company and let me say something about them. They train us really well on how to drive in adverse conditions and take phenomenal care of the vehicles. That's not to say that the vehicles don't sometimes break. It's bound to happen when you have a fleet of almost 300. Also understand that the driver is not a magician and cannot control the weather or traffic. Reservations I think could improve by actually informing the guests that the pickup time is not actually the departure time. Typically reservations will schedule 10 people in town to be picked up at the same time in town. You as a guest could be helpful by being ready 15 minutes early to leave because that is the only way to leave on time. Nothing is worse for the driver to have the first pickup show up 5 minutes late and put everyone behind. Then the passengers all blame the driver when it was really out of their control. Finally, it takes at least an hour and half from summit county to Denver airport. And that is only if the roads are clear and there is no traffic. You must understand that the road sometimes closes because of accidents and weather conditions. If this happens you might miss your flight. If the driver gets you there safe and alive then be grateful because I-70 in the winter through the mountains can be a stressful nightmare for a driver. Be generous and show your appreciation. Absolutely terrible experience. Booked a CME van to get from Vail to downtown Denver. Picked us up in Vail, then stopped in Frisco where we sat for 50 minutes (not exaggerating) waiting for one passenger who was supposed to be delivered from Breckenridge. I called customer service and was told there was nothing they could do and that the supervisor was too busy to address the problem. Seven other passengers were forced to wait because they weren't willing to send another van for them. Will never use again. Thank God there are competitors now (Peak 1 and Summit) so that CME no longer has a monopoly. read more

Switching to Peak Express! I ride CME to/from the Vail Valley and Denver Airport regularly. Operation service unfortunately has declined, probably b/c they pretty much have a monopoly. Drivers are usually fabulous, as was Steven tonight. However, we left Denver 13 minutes past scheduled departure and had to make a mandatory gas stop, "because I could not stop on the way down to DEN b/c my passengers had flights to catch." So in addition to leaving Denver late, we had to suffer through a gas stop. Steven told me he was in Denver in plenty of time waiting for his drive back up to Vail. Why could he not buy gas somewhere near the airport while he was waiting? The answer: CME has an account with the Downeyville Shell gas station. But, drivers are not allowed to use a different Shell, unless it's an emergency. Plus, Vail Resorts owns the Starbucks in Downeyville, so why not make drivers stop ther for gas and get passengers to spend $$ at Starbucks? To top it off, the CME website advertises "chat", but in fact, it is not supported. No one is home. Drivers are usually great, but operations need to step up. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Picked us up over 30 minutes late and then had the nerve to go pick someone else up across town and make us switch shuttles! We missed our flight because we didn't even leave breckenridge until an hour and a half after they picked us up. The second shuttle driver was so rude he was literally patronizing us. It took him over 5 1/2 hours make drive a 2 hour tops trip and he was laughing at the fact that we were gong to miss our flight. 6 OUT OF THE 9 PEOPLE IN THE SHUTTLE MISSED THEIR FLIGHTS!!! They wouldn't even give us our money back or pay for our hotel. Soooo rude i would NEVER use them again !!!! they are terrible and rude and slow! read more

I would strongly encourage everyone to just rent a car instead of using this service. Our travel agent talked us into using them because we were going to Beaver Creek but American Airlines does not fly to Eagle on Wednesdays, only Denver. In the past we rented a car but she encouraged us to save the money and hassle and just use this company. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!!! Our flight landed shortly before 1 pm and we were under the impression we would be leaving right away to go to the Ritz Carlton at Beaver Creek. We were wrong!!! We had to wait for the next shuttle for 2 1/2 hours before we left. Then, the driver told us it would be right at 2 hours before we arrived at our destination, however, it became a 3 1/2 hour tour with some very odd people who stunk of heavy smoking and alcohol. Each time we stopped for gas or dropped someone off passengers would get out and smoke and one lady in particular smoke and obviously had a little drink while she was at it. The van stunk and the driver definitely wasn't the brightest egg in the basket. He asked a passenger 4x the exact same question as if it truly was new to him on where he was taking her. We didn't arrive at the Ritz Carlton until almost 7:00!!!!! We landed around 12:35 that day. We could have rented a car and been here by 3 or 3:30 at the latest because we have driven it before. Save yourself the frustration and time and just rent a car. We will certainly NEVER use this company in the future and we will be telling our Travel Agent about our experience as well as anyone who inquires in the future. These people wasted our time and delayed us beginning our 4 days of leisure kid free!! read more

I made my reservation 4 months prior to my arrival. I got an e mail 2 days prior to my trip confirming my flight information and information what to do when I arrived. As soon as I landed I had a text wanting to know if I had arrived. I responded positive and when I got to counter they had all my information ready and directed me to my driver. Driver and all personnel were awesome!!!! I highly recommend Epic Mountain Express. They are a very efficient and organized company. read more

The employees helped her decide where she needed to be dropped off, and even drew her a map to help her find my house. Drivers and booking agents are friendly, well-trained and offer great customer service. The company currently uses the Mercedes 12 seat passenger vehicle in which the seats are narrow and offer little cushioning. Very uncomfortable for the 2 or more hour ride. For the rate that is charged the company should look into customizing the seating into something more appropriate for their services. Also when traveling in the fall or late spring be aware there are limited shuttles even though there seems to be plenty of customers to justify adding more times to the schedule. The added wait time can easily point one to car rental as a better option. read more

CME was great until I had the middle seat. Everyone hates the middle seat. The girl next to me had her screamo music blasting out of her headphones which gave me a bit of a headache. The roads were icy and the driver handled it well. Keep it up! read more

I used these guys when I came over the winter to snowboard in Breckenridge a couple years ago. The service was good, if a bit pricey. This time, I came back in the summer with my bike (in a box). Not only did the price go up to $87 each way, THEY CHARGE YOU FOR 2 PEOPLE IF YOU BRING A BIKE. The bike didn't sit in a seat, it sat under a seat. read more

These guys go from DIA/Denver to breckenridge and while the prices are comparable to everyone else, their competence and refund policy is all the way at the bottom. I booked a shuttle from breckenridge to Downtown Denver and called 5 mins before I was getting picked up to confirm it was on time /etc and found out they put me on the AIRPORT shuttle by mistake. No big deal, but then when I asked to go on slater shuttle going to DENVER they said it was booked. Now I'm going to DIA, have to pay another $40 to get to downtown Denver and Colorado mountain express - aka the grinch of the Rockies - told me it was WAY TOO LATE of notice and that they would offer no refund and I was SOL getting from the airport to Denver. Shame on them for not making good on their mistake and I highly encourage you to choose ANY OTHER shuttle company out there. read more

I am really happy I chose to use CME to and from the Denver airport. It was $82 each way per person and it was worth it. Our driver from the airport loaded all of our bags and got us there quickly and carefully. I had to change my pickup location for the return trip to the airport and it was flawless. They got us to the airport with time to spare even though it had snowed in breckenridge. Definitely a good deal. read more

I have always used CME's shuttles between Denver airport & Silverthorne/Frisco & Breckenridge. I have always found them to be more than punctual and appreciate their door to door service. I rarely write reviews, but felt I needed to compliment their above and beyond service today. I left a small back pack in the van and called about a half hour after entering my condo. Within minutes they located my bag and insisted on swinging by my home and dropping it off at 10pm. Even though I told them I would gladly drop by their office tomorrow to pick it up. Thank you so much CME for your professionalism and outstanding service. It's experiences like these that reminds me why I moved out here from the East Coast. read more

We booked a shuttle with Colorado Mountain Express to take us from Breckenridge to the Denver airport. The shuttle arrived on time, but the driver told us an avalanche was blocking Highway 70, and it was anticipated that it would be closed 2-3 hours. He assured us that we would still get to Denver, but we would just be delayed. The driver drove as far as possible on Highway 70, to Silverthorne, where all traffic was being directed off the highway. About two and a half hours later, the driver told us that Colorado Mountain Express was shutting down for the day, and they would no longer be taking us to Denver. At first everyone on the bus though he was joking as he had assured us earlier that we would be getting to Denver after the highway opened. Everyone on the bus including my group was scrambling to make plans for somewhere to stay for the night, and as this was happening the highway opened, right on schedule. Colorado Mountain Express still refused to take us to Denver, even though the highway was open. I was able to push my flight to the next day and find a last second hotel, but when I called Colorado Mountain Express to try to book a shuttle for the next day, I was basically told we were out of luck. So at this point we had no choice but to book a rental car as well to drive ourselves to the airport the next day So in summary Colorado Mountain Express lied about waiting on the road closure, then stranded all of their customers with no transportation and nowhere to stay. Their poor customer service cost my group and many others an extra night of lodging, a rental car, flight changes, and additional vacation days from work. If they had been upfront about a possibility of leaving us stranded, I would have never gotten on the shuttle and would have booked a rental car right off the bat and driven myself to the airport and made my original flight. I understand they can't control the weather, but they can make better decisions and not put all of their customers in a tough position. read more

The driver was prompt in picking me up. The van was new and spacious. Everything about the ride was good until we got to the airport. I asked the driver to bring me to the East terminal at DIA. The driver was very rude and told me I should just get out on the West side with everyone else. The driver agreed after I insisted. This is when it gets bad. When the driver parked at the East terminal, an airport worker came over to tell the driver that he wasn't parked in the right place. Instead of apologizing and moving, the driver got upset and insisted that's where he was told to park. He was very mean to the airport worker and even told him to f*** himself. All in all, it's a good service, but this one driver was unbelievably rude to me and an airport worker. There are other shuttle services, and I would recommend using them. read more

I am a frequent rider on CME. Usually I am greeted by name however today as I am riding to DIA from Frisco I had to take a very important business call just as we left for about 5 min. Jack the driver first blasts the radio to drown me and as soon as I completed the call he yelled at me in front of a van full of strangers about the strict policy on cell phone use! I am not a teenager I am a quiet middle aged lady. I refrained from discussion because his manner made me feel he was ready for a fight. Frank needs to be curteous and not a bully. I am not writing this anonymously as I plan to CALL your office as soon as I leave the STRICT POLICY ZONE of CME. I ride about 6 times a month and do not appreciate being humiliated by your driver. read more

Start to finish working with CME was the best. My travel plans were a bit complicated and involved a few moving parts, changing dates , and multiple locations. I was lucky enough to be helped out by Charlotte who went above and beyond to make sure everything was in order. In one instance we were not going to be able to get a private transfer to bring us from vail to keystone , as they were all sold out. We were prettymuch stuck as the limousine company's were now charging surge pricing based on the lack of availability. Charlotte called around and around until eventually she was able to find us a private vehicle during a super busy week in the area for a pretty reasonable price. The drivers were all locals that were very accommodating. The three vehicles we rode in were really clean, modern and comfortable. If no hassle, friendly good service is what you are looking for I would suggest CME for moving around the vail/Denver area. read more

Takes forever, and rather expensive for what you get. If you have a party of 2 uber is cheeper and will save you a couple hours.

We used CME to travel to and from Vail for a ski weekend. Both of our drivers were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful (Jeremy and Jerry). They were on-time, patient, and made our ride as comfortable as possible. I even changed our reservation on our way home, as there was a big storm predicted and my husband was injured. I called the night before our early morning travel, and the agent was able to move my reservation and hour earlier to give us extra time and to get in front of the storm. All in all, it was a great way to get to and from the mountain. We will definitely use them again for our next Colorado trip! read more

I had a very positive experience. When I made reservations, the individual was very helpful. I had to change my reservations, and had some additional questions. They were very accommodating and prompt in their reply. One the pick up day: The shuttle was a few minutes early, which was great. The driver was very friendly. We had to pick up a few others, who were running late. The driver was very patient and made sure everyone was comfortable. One the way to the Denver International Airport, the driver noted points of interest and answered all of the questions we had. When arriving at the airport, my bag, along with another woman's, was on the very bottom of the pile of suitcases. Rather than being frustrated or annoyed, the driver was pleasant and took out the other suitcases, so she could get to ours. The driver mentioned that during the peak of the season, there are one-time seasonable people who help out. That may explain the difference in the level or services. The price was very reasonable. CME is the WORST. Use ANY other shuttle service. The drivers are consistently incredibly and illogically unaccomodating.

I have used this company for years and numerous times per year with great service until they were acquired by Vail Associates. I was always able to select the shuttles I desired regardless of their suggested travel time as I am a seasoned traveler and can easily assess the transit time and logistics of making my flight. However, now that Vail Associates runs the company they will not allow me to select my own pick up time regardless of the fact they have no liability if I miss my flight. I detest their micro-management and assumption that people are too stupid to make their own decisions. As such, I will never use them again. read more

This is a mixed review. My experience the first day with this shuttle service from the Denver airport to Keystone was perfectly awful and would have gotten the lowest rating possible! What I'd been told was going to be a 2 to 2-1/2 hour drive turned in to almost 4 hours--and the original driver refused to stop anywhere along the way for a comfort stop! Fortunately, the driver that I was handed off to was much kinder (a female named Jamie) who accommodated the needs of her passengers before heading into Keystone. Instead of a direct drive to Keystone, we went into Silverthorne to drop off a passenger and for a change of drivers. (Not what I was told by the original driver at the airport.) My return trip to the airport from Keystone was substantially better--and he did offer a stop midway which several of us took advantage of. So my advice to anybody booking them is to insist on a comfort break when needed, and not to expect the trip to be as quick as they will initially tell you. read more

My wife was suppose to meet me in Keystone following a conference. We had booked ground transportation with CME. Unfortunately, her plane was slightly delayed, and she arrived at the CME counter in DEN 4 min late. Well the van left without her. For a 2 hour transport, they should have not left for a 4 min delay. CME has the flight number for passengers and can track when flights arrive. The person at the counter said he saw the flight arrived late but well before the van had left but did not hold it. Again for 4 min, or even 10, they should have waited. The next option was three hours later. So, my wife rented a car and we cancelled our remaining reservations on CME. The one positive thing I will say, the phone operators are helpful and pleasant to work with. read more

This company is the best! I was visiting Keystone & Breckenridge and had car trouble just a few hours before my morning flight out of Denver. I called Colorado Mountain Express just a few hours before my flight, and spoke with an incredibly helpful woman named Debbie, who was able to squeeze me into the last airport shuttle. Her supervisor was even kind enough to pick me up directly from my hotel and take me to the airport meeting site, as I had missed the shuttle that passed through my area. Every driver I encountered along the way was exceptionally friendly and kind. It was tight, but I made my flight! read more

I use CME quite often, as there aren't many other options, but I'm not a big fan. Before I get very specific, I should mention that the drivers are always very courteous, upbeat, friendly and professional...just as you would want them to be. I was told by a driver recently that Vail now owns CME, and that is why the new vans feature Vail's "epic" logo all over the windows, thus you get a sun screen, polka dot view out the window. The new vans also feature four-across seating in which four average-sized adults cannot sit side by side without some shoulder rearrangement and occasional "pardon me"s... Also, although 100% of the riders are on their devices, these brand new, cramped-but-tall shuttles (yes, you can stand up in them) offer no charging ports. And while CME makes a big deal about their wifi, really, it barely works, and I, and other riders find ourselves switching over to 4G just to do basic things. And although the shuttle stops at (what the driver told me is a Vail-owned) Starbucks, there are no cup holders for passengers. Is it good value for the price? I never feel very good at all about paying what they charge for such an experience. I think some competition would do CME some good! read more
