My husband and I had a rare chance to get out of the house and have some fun. We went to trivia night at the Station Grill, I have never attended a trivia event before. We had a blast! Photo booth showed up at my 13 yr oldest event with a printer that didnt work. They also didn't have any props. I have rented many photo booths and never seen such a poor setup. I feel really bad for the guy manning the booth. He looked very embarrassed and lonely all night. Sat there for 3 hours with very little interest. I emailed the owner 4 days ago and no response. Epic Entertainment's execution of our wedding was nothing short of abysmal. To say that we were dissatisfied is an understatement. We trusted this company with our wedding and we deeply regret doing so. We hired this company to DJ the ceremony and reception and also contracted them for a photobooth. In the week leading up to the event, we couldn't get a hold of our DJ and our representative was slow to respond. We didn't think too much of it and shared our timeline and the contact information for our day of coordinator. Fast forward to the wedding day - we were informed as we were walking up to the ceremony (literally right before the ceremony) that the DJ couldn't make it for personal reasons and that they had sent a backup DJ and photobooth attendant. DJ specific issues - -The DJ didn't know our first dance song and didn't download the file we sent. We only discovered this because I went over to verify that they were ready to go with name pronunciations. Luckily, my wife had the file on her phone and was able to transfer it over. -The microphone didn't work and the DJ had to get the mics from the ceremony site (this is what we were told). Both of these issues combined set us back by about 25 minutes - delaying dinner service and preventing photo opportunities for us. -The DJ played the completely wrong playlist during dinner. -The DJ made no announcements on things that were listed on our timeline. A friend of ours wisely asked to emcee for the speeches to facilitate the flow between people. -The DJ played music during the speeches - no idea where that idea came from. -When dancing started, the DJ started off with our late night rap and hip-hop, going completely against what I advised beforehand. -The speakers sounded blown out or the DJ just had the music way too loud for the space and distance. I had to go up there on multiple occasions to get them on track. -The bleeding of songs and order was bizarre. Songs would end abruptly or go to a completely different genre with no real flow. It was like the DJ had never actually listened to music before, let alone played it for others. -Lastly, the DJ hit 11pm and started packing up. By the time I noticed they had already started packing and unplugging things. The music was completely stopped. I told them that we had them until 12am. Photobooth Issues - -The photobooth didn't start on time. Our guests note that it wasn't ready until somewhere around 8pm - a full two hours late! They also left at 11pm. -The photo booth couldn't even print the photos! The attendant noted the lack of internet. Not only was there internet available at the reception site - but we were assured in planning conversations that internet connection was only necessary for sending photos. Printing shouldn't have been impacted either way. The problem was the attendant had never done this before. -The photo booth picture design spelled my wife's name wrong. Absolutely abyssal attention to detail. -The photo booth picture design was low quality, noticeably different from what we sent. We sent high quality files with exact specs and were told that it was doable. After a disastrous performance by Epic - I had to reach out and surface these issues a full 4 days later. No one bothered to reach out to address what was a complete failure. After a week of back and forth with the owner, who couldn't even be bothered to spell my name correctly in his emails, we were able to negotiate a refund and get access to our photobooth photos. I wouldn't recommend Epic to run your wedding even if they did it free. What a disaster for an organization. read more

Loved our experience with Epic for our December wedding! We specifically worked with Anthony (scheduling and questions) and LaDell (DJ/MC). We also hired their photobooth service and had an awesome female attendant that guests loved. LaDell was our MC/DJ and everyone (including us) were very impressed !!!!! He cared to get to know us before the wedding, was able to execute a dinner playlist based on limited direction, and really helped with the flow of the night. Forever grateful. We worked with Epic on our wedding in Pismo Beach. Pete was an awesome DJ who worked with us beforehand to prepare, understand our musical preferences and the vibe we were looking for throughout our whole day, and adjusted on the fly as necessary. Epic has a very useful website planning tool that helped us customize the music we wanted and work through with Pete on all of it. We also got a photobooth from Epic and have some amazing photos from the wedding from it. One thing to note is that it's worth double-checking the setup requirements (space, power, scheduling, etc.) when booking because we had a last-minute hiccup about the setup logistics to work out. But everything worked out and was lovely - the attendant was super friendly and energetic and our guests loved him! Thank you so much Epic for being such an integral part of our special day! We could not have been happier with LaDell at Epic entertainment. Not just us the bride and groom but our entire wedding party and guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing our DJ was. He is the perfect DJ he knows how to feel the crowd out exceptionally well. We told him we wanted the dance floor full all night like a club scene and he made it happen by staying in tune with what the audience wanted and what kept people dancing. He also did great with annoying drunk guests and never lost his composure even while a guest screamed "Free Bird!" through most the speeches. The wedding started out a bit rough as we insisted to get married in the sand even though 5/6/2017 was one of the windiest days ever in Pismo. LaDell was getting sand blown in his face and all over his equipment and still didn't miss a beat or even let on he was miserable and trust me we were all a bit miserable at that time. Because of the intense wind and sand we were unable to do the sand ceremony that was a big part of our wedding ceremony. Our efficient would not come upstairs to do the sand ceremony with us so LaDell happily did the sand ceremony with us even though it was not in his job description, and we are so happy he was part of that moment with us. As far as technical issues I didn't notice any at all. Even with the wind on the beach he was able to know when to kill the mics or lower the volume and visa versa when need be. I am no expert on technology or sound equipment but I feel the entire event went off with no issues or mess up, no squeaking mics. Everything as far as LaDell and Epic Entertainment was perfect. The only slightly negative thing I have to say about Epic Entertainment is that their website could use a facelift it was very confusing and hard to use at first, luckily everyone at Epic seems to be nice and helpful. WE went to the office and the guy working the front desk happily walked us through it. Once we got walked through it the program was very easy to use and add our play list, it is just hard to navigate at first until you go through it once or twice. read more

Our previous Photo Booth vendor fell through & I spoke with Sheldon at EPIC Entertainment, he was super helpful & the pricing wasn't outrageous, we ended up getting the exact background I wanted, guests were able to get a physical copy of their photos and we were sent a link with digital copies after the event & guests couldn't say enough good things about Andrea the attendant that night, she was so wonderful and fun and surprised us at the end of the night with a photo album including 1 copy of each photo! LaDell with Epic Entertainment was awesome! We had such a good time getting to know him and watching him engage with our family and friends. We had booked Epic in 2019 before having to postpone our 2020 wedding and they were flexible and easy to work with. We loved being able to add on a photo booth to our existing package, as our originally booked company shuttered during covid. It just made sense to have them do sound, lights and photo booth. We enjoyed having a Zoom with LaDell before the wedding so we could get to know him, and him with us. We were able to talk about the type of vibe and music we wanted to have and people danced non-stop. One of my favorite parts leading up to the wedding was in talking with other vendors in the SLO area and they'd ask who we had for a DJ. When we said LaDell, the response was always "Oh LaDell! I love him, he's great! You'll have so much fun!" and they were spot on. The music and DJ can be such a crucial part of the wedding and we felt so lucky to have had a great guy in LaDell. Had an absolutely perfect experience with Epic Entertainment (Chris Bailey) as our wedding DJ. Chris went above and beyond to make our day perfect! He didn't just provide music that kept everyone(!) on the dance floor for 4 hours, he helped us look like we knew what we were doing when timing got adjusted or we needed to make quick changes. We knew we needed a great DJ to pull off the kind of wedding reception we wanted (a kick ass party), and I think the best sign we had that this was achieved is everyone staying on the dance floor at the end of the night chanting "one more song!" No one wanted the night to end! The Process: Leading up to our wedding we started with a phone call with Epic to go through our expectations for the night, a quick discussion about the kind of party we were looking to host, and we talked packages. We really just needed a DJ and a microphone for the ceremony because lighting was all taken care of at the venue, so we worked that contract out and then we were connected with our DJ, Chris. From the start, Chris was helpful, accessible, and stayed on top of us to make sure we were thinking through the things we wanted included on the timeline for the wedding day, what kind of songs we wanted played when (pre-ceremony, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, etc), and we got to submit songs for the reception. Epic provided online questionnaires which were extensive, but the level of detail in them made us hunker down and put some plans on paper, which helped us with all other vendors too! Can't recommend Epic enough, and Chris Bailey was one of our super stars of the day! read more

Bruce was our resident DJ, he provided great knowledge, as to the flow of the event as well as musical advice. He stayed in communication with us through the months leading up to our event and single handedly provided a seamless music experience at our ceremony and reception, even though the venues were at different locations. We chose Epic Entertainment as the DJ services for our wedding and worked with Tim, specifically. We live outside of SLO County and two hours away from our venue site in Paso Robles, and never felt like this was an obstacle since Epic and Tim made the entire music-planning process so easy. In general (pre-hire,) Epic Entertainment was very easy to work with: friendly, professional, and answered all of our questions. Once hired and officially working with Tim, everything went smoothly. All e-mails were answered in 24 hours or less, with Tim encouraging phone calls or texting so any questions or issues could easily be resolved. When we met with Tim in person about one month before the wedding, we were very impressed - Tim thoroughly went over every aspect of the music for our wedding, offering suggestions here and there to help the requested music flow more smoothly (while we agreed with most of his suggestions, Tim did stress that they were only suggestions and we shouldn't make changes we weren't on-board with - and, a few times, we didn't!) On the actual wedding day, Tim worked with our other vendors and venue staff to make sure that everything would run smoothly and that we were focusing on as little of the logistics as possible. He was kind, friendly, and attentive. He made sure any questions we had were answered, that anyone else who would be handling a microphone knew what to do, and kept the beat of the party up. It will probably sound cheesy, but by the end of the day, Tim felt a little bit like family. And that's why he - and the other DJs at Epic - are good at what they do. We had dj sal at our 2022 prom for Atascadero high school. Worst dj ever, we used epic entertainment for our 2020 and it was amazing we had a great dj that was engaging entertaining and LISTENED, he played songs we requested and songs teenagers actually enjoyed, sal was the opposite of that guy. He ignored our activities director and ignored our play list we had for him. We had multiple people directly complain to sal and he just didn't care AT ALL. He wasn't engaging with the kids, speaking on the microphone and the majority of people left an hour into it because the music was so bad. I would describe his music choice as a 4th graders birthday party in 2014. I am incredibly disappointed our schools asb went above and beyond creating a wonderful venue and decorations. Our prom was ruined by this dj frankly. Sal definitely needs a talking to by your management, he had a bad attitude and it effected everyone who attended. I am incredibly disappointed. read more

I booked them on short notice. They were accommodating. However the personnel that showed up were unqualified to work the equipment. I then realized that the logo and design were not correct. They had sent me a contract and I had paid in full. They never had any communication with me regarding design or copy. They were unavailable the day of my event. The staff on location took terrible photos. They were out of focus, bleached out and were not usable for any social media marketing. Overall they were on site for 7 hours and delivered 17 photos.... that's it!!! read more

Anthony is the BEST!!!!!!!!!! We were lucky enough to have wedding coordinating services, but if we hadn't, I think Anthony would have taken over! He was so great and detailed, that we are so so happy we went with Epic! We not only had Anthony for our ceremony and reception, but we also rented a photo booth from Epic; and it was .... well...EPIC! When our guests weren't on their feet dancing away to his awesome music choices, they were having a blast in the photo booth, with all the disguises, and masks. It was so fun! Anthony also went way above his duties as a DJ. Not only did he personally meet with us a few times, to be sure we had every last detail was perfectly planned out; he also worked with my best friend who couldn't make it out to the wedding, and recorded his toast and played it at the reception. Not only that, but we had specialized songs we wanted for our ceremony - and he got them! Who knows how, but he did it and made every things exactly perfect. What a great guy!!! We had amazing wedding coordinators that made everything go smoothly, but Anthony also made sure to warn the groom and me when the last 2 songs were about to take place at the reception, so we could party down! He also made sure we would know what and when things were taking place. I HIGHLY recommend Epic Entertainment. Our guests were actually bummed when the reception ended. Our initial plan was to do our own music for our wedding, but at the last minute (less than a week before the wedding) decided to inquire with Anthony. He called us back almost immediately and we scheduled his services. The wedding planner that he provided on his website was thorough and an excellent tool to help us plan our day. He even met up with us before the event, just to talk about what we wanted and meet us in person. The day of the event, Anthony was amazing. He utilized the plan that we put together, which was pretty basic for a wedding, and filled in the other music extremely well. Our 19 year old niece and our 70 year old father (in-law) BOTH, within minutes of each other, were saying how wonderful the music and the DJ was. Not only did he do an wonderful job putting together the fill music, but he was also our emcee - announcing, keeping everyone informed, and keeping us all on a timeline. When things seemed to be getting a bit slow, he stepped it up and kept everything moving. As an added bonus, Anthony took a bunch of photos for us as well. We did not hire a professional photographer - we just asked our guests for copies of their photos. Anthony took plenty of pictures - he even got up on a ladder and took several photos of our entire wedding, including the guests. We are looking forward to seeing the pictures that he took. Anthony is great! He was referred to us by our wedding venue, The Gardens at Peacock Farms. He DJ/MC'd at our wedding and did a wonderful job. During the ceremony her miked the Groom and officiant, then provided microphones for speeches. He would causally pop into mine or my husband's peripheral vision to ask a quick question, or let us know an event was going to take place, ex time for cake cutting. His website is very thorough and allowed us to pick music for pretty much everything. He even sent a music suggestions list for all the big events during the reception as well as speech tips for our maid of honor and best man. We rented a photo booth through Epic Entertainment for our wedding at Santa Margarita Ranch last month. While people had a lot of fun with it, I was a bit disappointed with it compared to other photo booths I've seen at friends weddings. We had no flexibility on the template of the printed photos and had a lot of trouble going back and forth with the designer on what we were looking for. I'd recommend that they find a way to allow people to design their own templates for as much as they ask us to pay. Additionally, the prop box we received with our booth had the most bizarre props I've ever seen. Everything from viking hats to military vests to train conductor hats... not exactly the kind of fun, colorful props that go with a wedding. Overall, I'd recommend them but just know what to expect for how much money you're paying. And if you're planning a wedding, I recommend bringing your own props. read more
