2.5 stars for this place is crazy work. Doesn't make sense at all. Food is very good. Burgers are cooked right. I enjoy their double cheeseburger and cowboy burger. Cajun fries are really good and I'm not typically a big fries person. I tried their hotdog a few times and I enjoy that too, just without the hot peppers. The few times I've been here, service has always been consistently good, professional and prompt. Interior, love the high-backed and cozy booths. Food was good. Expensive, but good. Not great, but good. Service was great though. Clean and bright interior. I feel bad that these guys have such a low rating, and it feels like they're doing their best. There are definitely better places out there for everything they serve, but if you need a quick bite and you're right there, go for it. I hope these guys are able to stay afloat and improve. read more

Very laid-back, clean establishment. There were only two other diners when I came in to order. The gentleman working the register was pleasant. I ordered a turkey burger (see picture for the exact order as reflected on the receipt). There was a mistake with my order twice. The first burger was missing lettuce, and the cook kindly offered to remake it. However, the remake included lettuce but did not have the grilled onions. I simply requested a side of grilled onions to add to my remake. read more

We saw the bad reviews and really wanted to give this place a shot. The service was totally fine, he was helpful and patient. The burgers tasted fine, fries were good. However, my husband and I got insanely sick after eating here. Throwing up, nauseous, sweaty... it wasn't good. We are 100% certain it was from the meal we ate here. I would've probably given this meal a 3 star had it not given us food poisoning. read more

Food was great! Someone below said it's pricey but we didn't think so. A meal at fast food is about the same but we'd rather eat here. Cheaper than a lot of other burger places around as well. Love that it is halal. Unsure if he was a manager, the one with the glasses - he was super sweet, attentive and stopped by our table to ensure everything was great While he was getting us boxes, someone else saw my sister waiting and checked in to see if we needed anything but she was already being helped. I love a good burger but Epic Burger did not hit the spot for me unfortunately. The establishment is new, everything is still clean. The atmosphere is nice. The staff I encountered was friendly. I asked a couple of questions and they answered and gave me their opinions. I ended up ordering their new item the patty melt which comes on a brioche bun, with giardiniera and grilled onions. I think I am accustomed to patty melts looking a certain way so that was maybe a me thing. After I got past the initial look it was oily from the giardineria and the burger itself did not have much flavor. For the price and it being Epic it fell short. I know I'm plain for getting a vanilla shake and usually I love a good vanilla shake but it was just okay. The only saving thing was the fries. I loved the crispness of them. Not on my list of places I'm dying to go back to anytime soon. read more

Has a variety of chicken sandwiches on the menu that I have not tried yet. Rewards points. Is better than New York based shake shack. You get more for your money here. This is really horrible customer service Yesterday 3/19/25 I made an online order at lake bluff location, I ordered 2 double epic burger sandwich , one comes with no burger just lettuce and tomato in the sandwich and the other one comes in only 1 burger. Also, I have received loaded fries that has bacon in it and I have ordered garlic parm fries and we don't eat bacon, everything was thrown in the trash. Here is the copy of my receipt. All of the dishes we ordered were bland, lacking flavor, and severely overpriced. Additionally, the kid's "grilled cheese" was a hamburger bun with two unmelted pieces of plastic looking cheese. We won't be back. read more

First of all the service was awesome! The person taking our order was so courteous and had explained how they get their chicken and how it was cooked especially since that was a concern for us since we only eat halal. Our order didn't take long at all to come out and the food was fresh. We could tell the chicken was marinated and seasoned, it was incredibly crispy, and just overall yum!! and affordable compared to a lot of other local halal burger/chicken places. The decor of the place is overall pretty nice and woodsy with cozy lighting and just overall a nice place to just sit down and hang out. If you u need a nice, cozy sit down spot with some good food this place is it. Not to mention there are some pretty great deals and the price to proportion ratio is well worth it with most items. Even the sliders for the 2 for 5 deal was surprisingly filling and again cant beat the deals. Would definitely come again. read more

It's been many years since I ate at Epic. I used to love it so I was excited to try it again after they bought out Meatheads. It definitely went downhill. Less toppings to choose from, less sides, overly seasoned fries, and all at a very high price point. A burger, fries, and drink will probably run you around $18 and it's not all that great. read more

I have tried to give this location multiple chances but I am DONE! I am no stranger to this restaurant. I discovered Epic while living in Chicago many years ago and it was always the BEST burger joint in town! After moving to Lake County, I discovered the Old Orchard location and was pleased to receive the same quality burger, hot and fresh and made to order! When this location opened even closer to home on Rockland Road, I was overjoyed! I couldn't wait to make my weekend burger runs to the place I fell in love with so many years ago. Unfortunately, this is not the same quality I remember! Each time I've gone whether dining in or take out, my food has either been cold or the buns have been stale.... STALE! Each time I try to brush it off like maybe they just had an "off" day! Today, I craved a burger and thought I'd give them another chance. It was their ABSOLUTE LAST CHANCE! THREE STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT EPIC! Just like before the burger was cold and the bun was stale, ROCK HARD STALE ON THE BOTTOM BUN! Please don't let this location ruin your appetite for Epic Burger! If you are not up to visiting their locations in Chicago, the location at Old Orchard never disappoints. The only things epic about this place were how grossly overpriced everything was and the sloppy mess that the sandwich turned into while trying to eat it. Customers order and pay at the front counter, and fountain beverages are self-serve. The food is brought to the table for dine-in orders. The menu board for the sandwiches was huge and it was easy to read the names and prices, but they didn't list condiments included. The menu board for the rest of the items was harder to read. Don't plan on a balanced diet from this place. The menu doesn't support it. $9.99 for the Hot Honey Chicken sandwich was way too much. The online description says it has pepper jack cheese, but mine didn't. The sauce was dripping off the sandwich on all sides, and it was falling apart in my hands as I tried to eat it. The piece of meat was kind of curled, like it was never designed to be used in a sandwich, which contributed to it not staying between the halves of the bun. I ordered large sweet potato fries, but the cashier entered and charged for a small order. It was about half the size that I expected for $3.99. When the server brought it, I asked if it was a large size, and was told it was a medium, which confused me because they only had two sizes on the menu board. The fries were a very poor quality waffle style. Some were overcooked and so crispy that they were hard, and others were undercooked and not at all crispy. On the menu board, there was a list of sauces that all appeared overpriced so I didn't order any. They included a small cup of a mustard sauce, without charge, that was only enough for about two thirds of the fries, and some of the fries were too big to dip in the cup. The menu board listed drinks for $2.49 but the receipt shows I was charged $2.69. I was given a 16/18 ounce plastic cup. Competing fast food restaurants charge that much, or less, for drinks two to three times larger. The bench of the booth was hard wood and not comfortable for a leisurely meal with friends. They had numerous booths of different sizes to accommodate parties of four to six or eight and a couple of even larger size. This used to be a Meatheads restaurant, and I gave them three strikes before I refused to go back. I am not surprised that it has been rebranded. This place has fouled out and I won't be back. There are better choices nearby, within about five to eight minutes walking, including a competing sandwich shop about a minute walk around the corner that has better values for their prices. read more

We have tried this location a few times. on the first few occasions, I either ordered a shake or a shake and fries, both of which are very tasty! Today was definitely a disappointment. We went through the drive-through. They must not have heard me pull up to the speaker because I sat there for a good six or seven minutes. (Not kidding) and the employee on the other end was speaking to a coworker, about an order in front of us, so that is the reason I thought they hadn't greeted us yet. I finally said "hello?" And the older gentleman began to take my order, which I needed to repeat because he was not at the register. He was thorough in getting the correct order, however, We get to the window after several minutes (which was fine because this isn't as fast as other fast food joints, which I knew). I got the wrong burger. so I parked my car and went inside, because I was not about to go through the drive-through again. I hand the girl my receipt and the wrong burger.
