Like a queen who misplaced her throne. We, four men of advancing years, entered awkwardly and collided into one another like schoolboys. The tables on the left leaned and sighed under our weight, their outdated chairs demanding one foot on the floor for balance. Serious concern regarding delivery orders and how they are handled at this location…read more I occasionally work as an Uber Eats delivery driver, and unfortunately I have personally encountered what appears to be a very serious and recurring issue at this location. On multiple occasions, drivers arrive to pick up delivery orders, only to be told by the restaurant staff that the order has already been picked up or that they cannot release the order. Drivers then have no choice but to cancel or leave. The same order can subsequently be offered to another driver at a significantly higher payout. What is particularly concerning is that this can happen repeatedly, causing the delivery payout to increase from a relatively small amount to $30, $40, $50 or more. Meanwhile, the customer is still waiting for the food. I personally experienced this situation. When I arrived, the order was still showing on the restaurant's system and was physically at the location, but the staff refused to give it to me. I contacted the customer directly, and the customer confirmed that they were still waiting for the order and that nobody had picked it up. I even attempted to let the customer speak directly with the restaurant employees, but the employees refused to provide an explanation. This type of situation causes serious problems for everyone involved. Drivers lose significant amounts of time, fuel, and income traveling to a restaurant for an order they are then unable to receive. Customers can wait for hours for food they believe is on its way. Delivery companies can potentially suffer significant financial losses when the same order has to be repeatedly reassigned at increasingly higher payouts. It also damages the reputation of the franchise itself. Customers do not see what is happening behind the scenes -- they simply see that their food never arrives and associate that experience with the restaurant's brand. I strongly encourage Wingstop management and Uber to investigate the delivery history and cancellation patterns at this location. This should be relatively easy to verify by reviewing the order records, driver cancellations, timestamps, and changes in delivery payouts. I am posting this review because I believe management should be aware of what is happening under its brand. I hope this issue is investigated seriously and that customers, drivers, and the company itself are protected from this type of behavior.
