It smelled great, but unfortunately they didn't taste the way they smelled. You could tell that the oil was probably old and the mushrooms had an odd taste. Likely old mushrooms. It was very disappointing. And just as unfortunately, one of the other spots I had been bragging about for years with my wife was Hillary's BBQ. It turned out to be disappointing as well. The Q was over cooked and not hot. The sauce was still there, but over all it was just as disappointing as Brown's old mushrooms. So much for nostalgia.

What was especially disappointing was the lack of customer service. Other well-known Chicago pizza places, such as Giordano's and Lou Malnati's, understand the importance of making things right when a customer has a bad experience. Unfortunately, this restaurant did nothing to make up for the situation. A burnt pizza can happen, but how a business handles a mistake says a lot about its customer service.
