My go-to flavors are the Cheesking and the Mala Spicy--both are packed with flavor. For me, the real standout for me was the tteokbokki. The sauce is incredible--it has a mild sweetness from tamarind that really elevates the whole dish and keeps you coming back for more. I'd honestly come back just for that sauce! I had to order one to go. The chef even came out after our meal to check in and offered candy to all the kids. Such a thoughtful touch--great hospitality all around. Definitely come support them when you're craving wings!

Overall: 4/5 Food:…read more5/5 Price: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Came here for dinner and got the Kimchi Fried Rice, and the Garlic Honey boneless chicken. The food was on point! The crunch that Korean fried chicken has, always amazes me. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. I really appreciate that they use boneless THIGHS and not chicken breast. The chicken THIGH meat is dark meat and juicy, while white meat just drys out so easily and fast. The Kimchi Fried rice was good too. It's got a little heat on it, but when you eat the cold pickled daikon with it, it has a nice balance. If I'm ever back in Great Lakes IL, I'll doubleback fasho! Might be hittin this place one more time before I leave! My only constructive criticism would be to allow 2 flavors on the 10 piece and higher. I could only get 1 flavor, and there were so many that sounded good, I would've loved to have tried 2 flavors.

I drove over 50 mins round trip and going forward, I'd rather sit in traffic going into the city or cook it myself (I was too lazy tonight). Thank God, I had spaghetti to offset the fries

So, we traveled 2,200 miles in the winter. One of the places I expressively wanted to take them was to Brown's Chicken for the fried mushrooms. Back in the day I would go to Brown's sometimes and end up buying all of their fried mushrooms. After a while, they began to limit how much you could buy at one time. I don't know if they still do that, but it was really good back then. One day while on our visit we went to Brown's and ordered the fried mushrooms. It smelled great, but unfortunately they didn't taste the way they smelled. You could tell that the oil was probably old and the mushrooms had an odd taste. Likely old mushrooms. It was very disappointing. And just as unfortunately, one of the other spots I had been bragging about for years with my wife was Hillary's BBQ. It turned out to be disappointing as well. The Q was over cooked and not hot. The sauce was still there, but over all it was just as disappointing as Brown's old mushrooms. So much for nostalgia.
