Started the day with a delicious coffee and smooth jazz at Ephraim Coffee Lab. We bookmarked this spot after discovering it on Yelp months prior to our visit to Door County. We were excited to see there would be a solid coffee option in the village. It certainly did not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed both our cardamom ginger and maple lattes. I was also eyeing the miso black sesame latte. I've been on a miso kick as of late... If we weren't already overstocked on beans at home at the moment, we would have picked up a bag for the road. The staff was very friendly and informed us that a few nights a week, the adjacent space whips up Detroit style pizza. Noted for next time! read more

Cute little place attached to what is now a pizza place providing additional seating to the coffee shop during the day. The chairs reminded me of a throwback to elementary school. We had a variety of drinks including the espresso spritz, cold brew coffee, priscilla palmer, and a coconut milk latte with the cardamom syrup. Updating my review based on my current visit. That's right current visit, just sitting here waiting for my coffee order that said it would be ready 10:05 (it is 10:25) Isley Brothers is still doing online ordering so be prepared to order prior to your arrival to avoid a potentially long wait. Especially if their are larger group orders or their friends roll thru for their orders before yours. Their coffee is very good but my patience is short. I don't come to DC very often but I probably won't be back based on this experience. Plenty of other coffee places to try on the peninsula! read more

Wow - just had a Mocha. This is a craft coffee venue. Don't be rushed when you stop here, take your time as you watch them carefully and artfully prepare your brew. Don't expect a Starbucks menu nor assembly line - they have about a dozen items on their menu, and 1-2 people working behind the counter. My mocha was wonderful- nice foam, great coffee flavor, light on the chocolate. I'd like to try the cold brew and a few others on the menu. Nice seating outside - several tables with chairs. Almost no seating inside - this place is really tiny. They need two things: porcelain cups (I hate drinking out of cardboard) and wifi. This is *not* a place to hang out inside and do work on your laptop on a rainy day... Worth a stop if you are in Ephraim. read more

This coffeehouse was recommended from many people who live in Door County. Gave it a go. So glad we did. This shop is tucked away in downtown Ephraim near Wilson's. The owner roasts fresh beans daily for the most incredibly smooth espresso I have ever tasted. Yes I've been to Italy. Highly worth the trip! read more

Read good things about this place, couldn't experience it due to app only ordering. The staff were blasting music and the door was locked so I couldn't even ask for assistance. Easily one of the best pulled espresso shot in a cortado I have ever had. It had just rained so it was not that busy as the owner was standing outside. Parking is limited but there are a couple of spaces dedicated to the coffee lab. There is very little room inside to sit so you may want to take your choice to go. The roasting machine is right in front with some beans and other accessories on your left. We took home some of their Colombian beans and they were fantastic as well. Best coffee anywhere. We went 4 out of 4 days during our vacation. My husband loves the nitro, and the iced coffee plain. I LOVE the iced vanilla latte!!! I felt a bit of a change on the last day so I got the orange ginger iced tea. So good!! I got one of the Hatched bakery items, the strawberry basil turnover type thing. Espresso was one of the best I've tasted in my life; fruity and not so bitter that you regret your decision. Picked up a bag of coffee too that was previously roasted in the past two days (score!); very good stuff! Apparently the owner uses only one middle man between farmers and store so you know where it's coming from. The owner was very knowledgeable and informative. There was a space next store (but opened into the coffee place) that looked like it used to be a different shop; though it was mostly empty it was a mess. Not sure if it was in transition etc. Overall: definitely the best out of the FIVE coffee places we tried in a single day in door county. read more

We found this place by chance and enjoyed so much that we went twice in one day! We even went out of our way to stop here before our trip home! Will definitely be back here the next time we visit Door County! read more

Stopped by the Coffee Lab based on a recommendation and I was not disappointed. It's a clean and smart looking coffee house - kind of hidden to the side of the Chef's Hat restaurant. Don't give up until you find it and make note of the days/hours they are open. The cortado I ordered was fabulous (smooth and rich) and the coffee my husband ordered was equally good. I believe they roast their beans on site. LOVE these start-ups and small roasters - I would not miss this one if you are in Door County. Wonderful! read more

Living in Chicago has turned me into a semi-coffee snob. (Intelligentsia, Bowtruss, Ipsento). I travel a lot and it's hard to get good coffee on the road. Crazy that you could find this level of quality up here. ( no offense Door County!) I have had both a pour-over and a Cortado here. Both were outstanding. The name should tell you....very sophisticated coffee .... Nitro brew for example. Delicious coffee but skip if you want a plain black cuppa. Makes a great latte. I was only able to make it to Coffee Lab twice during my trip to Door County which was really sad especially because I was staying so close! You can really taste the quality and the amount of care they put into their coffee. Last time I had a coffee this great I was in Italy. As someone else mentioned it is craft coffee, so don't expect something quick like you would at Starbucks, they really take the time to make a great cup of coffee. read more

This place has a very good product. My dirty chai latte was very good. However, we were very disappointed by the customer service. When we walked in no one else was there. We ordered fairly quickly and chatted with the barista while he prepared our drinks. Then a group of 4 women walked in. The barista asked them if they just wanted coffee and they started to order. He gave them a heads up that it would be a while because our order was taking a bit. So then they all decided to just get coffee. However, this was not just a pour a cup of coffee and they are out the door. He had to prepare their coffee too. So he STOPPED preparing our drinks and served them. Typically a place with counter service is first come, first served. Well we were first come and third served because then he rang up someone for a bag of coffee before finishing our order. I appreciate that a good cup of coffee or chai that is as fresh as they prepare takes time. However that was just rude and it felt like everyone else got preferential treatment. Plus, had he communicated to us, we could have told him that we were on our way to massage appointments and did not have very much wiggle room on our timeline. We were late to our appointments because of his lack of customer service. read more
