This is my honest review of this establishment. To start I'd like to say, I really really wanted to…read morelike this place. I'm not normally someone who leaves negative reviews... but from the very first time I walked into this business I had nothing but the most horrible service. From the lash techs, to the receptionist...just utter disappointment. The very first appointment I had at this salon, I walked in at 5 pm and walked out at 8:30 pm. The appointment was supposed to be for a hour. After about two and a half hours the tech working on me left the room and grabbed another tech who then rushed to finish my lashes. I could tell she rushed because one eye was noticeably fuller than the other. I didn't complain because my initial tech looked flustered. However I was never apologized to for the delay nor offered an explanation. When I got home I started to feel a burning in my right eye. I found out I was scratched by the tape used during the appointment. This took four days to heal. After the initial appointment I noticed my eyelashes were not filled in on the corners of my eyelids.. but I assumed it was due to her running over on time. After about three days I noticed I lost sooo many lashes (even after following their care guidelines) At my next fill appointment I was given a new tech. Again with no explanation at all. Cool. The fill I received didn't leave my lashes looking full at all. That's fine, I made another appointment. I came back in a week for a mini fill. By the time I got to my car after this appointment I lost 5 lashes...this was on top of again having a fill leave my lashes not even full looking. After two days I already noticed my lashes becoming very thin. I had an appointment for another fill (for my monthly credit since I signed up for the membership) for two weeks and when I came in I was told my lashes were too thin and she wouldn't give me the fill that they had already charged me for. When I asked to speak to a manager I was then told that they didn't have a manager on staff that day and to try again next week... basically I was scammed. They take your money and in return you get crummy lashes that maybe last three days before falling out almost completely...and the fills you get don't even give you a full look to begin with. Summary: All around horrible service. Lashes don't stay on for more than a few days. Fills aren't even enough to fill your whole eyelid (they never seem to fill the corners). Definitely don't sign up for the membership because once they have your money, you're screwed if anything goes wrong because they don't care.They won't do anything to help. Can't even reach a manager if something were to go wrong. I honestly feel they do crappy jobs on fills so you're forced to come back more often and spend more money. Once they have your money they don't give you what you paid for! Stay away ladies. These lashes are not cheap and there are much better places to go and get your money's worth!! I have gone to salons in Valpo where I could go three weeks before needing a fill. At amazing lash studio you're gunna need a fill once a week. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. Edit: I uploaded a picture of what my lashes look like today (6/1/19) I had a fill two weeks ago on 5/18:19. This is what you'll get for your money here.

Wha a sad end when they had a great space, clientele and obtain a new building. Probably a month should have been a better solution, so they can at lest search for another company or space. I just hope success and prosperity for the stylist that lost their space.

From the moment you walk in, the entire staff is welcoming and helpful and not just to their clients but to each other as well( I've never been to a salon that works this well as a team ) . I Have been to many places to get extensions but by far Lumi in valpo is by far the very best experience I have ever had .... Had went in for a highlight with Brooke, to leave way overtoned which she did intentionally trying to fix the bleed marks from her foils that I'd see once I got home. My hair was pretty much totally grey and not blended at all it looks horrible. Called in and spoke with Whitney I believe was managers name and she had also saw how screwed up it was while cashing me out and basically elbowing Brooke to offer me another appt per their script. Her solution was to come in and pull color out but ONLY if I allowed Brooke to do it would I not be charged. Manager called owner to tell her I was "displeased" but when asked if she explained that both the stylist and manager knew how botched my hair was and sent me on her way and that it was due to Brookes screw up she said no that she just told her simply unhappy with the service. Requesting to speak to the owner she said okay but idk when you'll hear from her. Weeks later and still haven't. Absolutely do not trust them with coloring service. I absolutely wouldn't trust her to color correct. Waste of a whole lotta money

My husband mentioned this also, as he dropped me off. The stylist started by telling me they couldn't do my color and I'd have to come back for a consultation by someone more qualified. This was a waste of my time and because I had been a hair dresser I knew what she was telling me was bullshit. All and all when the stylist said she would cut my hair, I declined and got out of there. Not to step forward with t word in there again. Beware

After a thorough consultation the fun begins. They have a closed shampoo room, with lowered lighting, soothing music, aromatherapy and a wonderful scalp massage. The hair color for my MIL was always perfect - a strawberry blonde. For myself I am natural white and grey. I occasionally get some 'color' on my white- I have done blue, pink, lavender and most recently a dark purple. Essie always works with me of if I want to let my hair grow out or when I want it all cut off.
