I wanted to ensure my back wouldn't be on fire during an 8 hour plane right. Ann took the time to show me (and my boyfriend, whom she let tape what she was doing) exercises I could do at home to ease my sciatic and back pain. She described for me all of the muscles, points of tension, exactly what she was doing to me when she was doing it. At the end of the stretching session, I felt like I was walking on air. She then moved me into her incredibly relaxing massage room. No obtrusive music like some spas, no chatting to draw me out of my world, she let me melt into complete relaxation. She hit all the spots on my body that are in pain on a regular basis. When she was done, I felt, for lack of a better word, different. I could stand straight up comfortably, I felt as light as air and completely at ease with my body and the world around me. Ann's 'bedside' manor and personality is unparalleled. She is genuine and a very real person who made me feel so comfortable in a situation that would normally make me curl up with anxiety. Everything she said she could back up with her extensive knowledge. Nothing she said put me off as being too 'new agey psuedo-science' , everything she said and did had a grounding she could explain to me unlike some holistic authorities to operate as if they're performing magic. I will keep going back to Ann any chance I get and anyone with pain issues, or any number of ailments she specializes in, should definitely vie for one of coveted time slots. Thank you, Ann!

I go here anytime I wanna get beat up to the point where I'm half comatose with relaxation. And…read morebeyond that... I love Ann. I'm pretty sure everyone who has ever gone to her would say the same. And I'm pretty sure that you can't get anything like this anywhere else in Chicago. I travel regularly from Chicago to SF to NYC, and again, I haven't found anyone who's doing this kind of work in this kind of setting. Let me clarify- Ann's massage technique is unlike anything I've ever had in the US- and I've been getting massages for about 20 years. You definitely drift into a faraway place on her table. BUT- that's where the spa stuff ends. After she gets you warmed up, she starts using some seriously intense deep tissue stuff and techniques you usually don't see outside of China, or maybe Japan. . Unlike other massages, even the deep stuff is goooood- as in, hurts SOOOO GOOD. She knows exactly where to put pressure and I guarantee that she massages areas on your neck and low back that no one has ever touched before. Even though I've had the deepest massages of my life there, I've never had to tell her to back off. She reads the body like a book. If you like an intense, but super relaxing massage that leaves you with rubberized limbs, this is the place. Ok- this might be a little off subject, but I need to share a story that demo's the kind of service you get here when you're a regular. A few years ago, I threw my back out at the gym one night. The next day was a huge one; without going into detail, my son was depending on me to be there. In a mild panic, I called Ann at 7pm to see if she had an opening, any opening, before she closed shop. Nope. She was booked. But, she did tell me to swing by after her last appointment ended- AT 10PM! I was so impressed (and shocked) that there are people in the world who would do this. It basically sums up why I keep coming here. Ann has a way of making you feel like you're more than a customer. It's a cut above the other options out there, and I'll be going here for quite awhile.
