The interaction that Kris has described is not what actually transpired. I understand family emergencies do come up - I did not "call her repeatedly" and while I did contact her on Mother's Day, I did not expect her to respond that day. Additionally, when she told me her family member was ill, I told her that I hoped she got better. I was understanding in the need to cancel my appointment - even though it was a very short notice (which I understand was not preventable). As I mentioned, I also have worked in customer service for quite some time and so I understand the need for flexibility in one's job when urgent matters arise - however, in all of my training, I have always been taught that the customer is always right and to treat them with respect. In my opinion, that is not what happened with me. I had not used Groupon before and was unfamiliar with Kris' website and the whole process of booking through that site. Her responses to me, albeit in a time that I'm sure was very stressful for her, were unprofessional. I am saddened and disheartened that I have to justify my review because I am again feeling attacked by merely describing my encounter with this business.

She ended up dropping a good chunk of change here, almost a $100, me I was wish shopping. It is not a payday weekend for me, I was just mainly her shopping partner today. She loves this store and whenever I need to get her a gift, an Ulta Gift Card is the winner. I LOVE THE PERFUME SECTION IN THE STORE,,MY WEAKNESS. I AM NOT A BIG MAKEUP PERSON LIKE MY DAUGHTER. She loves makeup and loves doing makeovers on herself and friends. The staff here was very helpful in assisting her to find a palette of eyeshadow she was searching for. If you do happen to be unlucky enough to find yourself here though, don't end up going to check out with Sydney. You will not be happy with the experience. Terrible experience! Dr. Hoover created an incision in my lower left leg to remove basal cell…read morecarcinoma. They scheduled stitches removal at 14 days. I followed care directions but sent a message through the portal at 9 days (a Wednesday), with a photo, stating I was concerned about the incision site. No one contacted me. On day 11, a Friday, I phoned to follow up and shared that it was looking worse. They could not find my message, even though I can see it on my end. The nurse had me send another photo; her response was, "Hm, it does look a little angry," and she said she was sending it to the doctor so I could have information before the weekend. Crickets. The next morning, I went to urgent care, where I was diagnosed with a significant bacterial infection and put on a strong antibiotic and very specific care instructions. I was told I was a high risk for sepsis and a blood clot, and there was no certainty that this particular antibiotic would work. It helped, but not enough, so now I'm on my second antibiotic for treatment and am still restricted in my activities. I was told that stitches in this part of the body should not be in for more than 7 days. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. The stitches were in too long, and TWICE I contacted them with concerns, and they did not respond to provide basic patient care. The photo you see is the same photo they were given.

You want the table a little warmer/ cooler? Got it. Want to lighten the pressure in certain areas? Sure, no problem! Curious about how 'x' pain connects to 'y' limb? You'll get an accurate, thoughtful response. Lights lower, music softer? She's on it. No stress added that I arrived a couple minutes late. She apparently had time, so she tacked those couple minutes on to the end and I got as many minutes as I actually paid for - that's always super appreciated! It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. My 82 yo mom loves it here, too. There's a plethora of skilled service providers and lots of face, body, general wellness treatments to choose from.
