This is a very large, open, bright store..the staff was very helpful and friendly. I used to shop at Ulta in Nashville all the time and my daughter and I was very pleased to find this gem in the River Valley Mall in Lancaster, Ohio. She ended up dropping a good chunk of change here, almost a $100, me I was wish shopping. It is not a payday weekend for me, I was just mainly her shopping partner today. She loves this store and whenever I need to get her a gift, an Ulta Gift Card is the winner. I LOVE THE PERFUME SECTION IN THE STORE,,MY WEAKNESS. I AM NOT A BIG MAKEUP PERSON LIKE MY DAUGHTER. She loves makeup and loves doing makeovers on herself and friends. The staff here was very helpful in assisting her to find a palette of eyeshadow she was searching for. The store never has things in the right place and Sydney, the cashier, apparently doesn't like customers very much. She was rude, bad at her job and obviously doesn't care about doing things correctly. I would recommend going anywhere else but here. If you do happen to be unlucky enough to find yourself here though, don't end up going to check out with Sydney. You will not be happy with the experience. I'm just walking out of this business so very upset!! They charged my bank card and because of their faulty equipment they showed the sale did not go through. I pulled up my bank account online that showed that it had indeed been already charged. I was in the situation where they refused to give me over $100 worth of products that I purchased. Then they tried to ring it up again, I was telling them that I didn't want to be charged twice! I would not recommend going here until the point-of-sale equipment is replaced!! My fondness for Ulta is growning... I no longer can say that Sephora is my favorite! I really like this particular location. My mother and I popped in about 20 minutes prior to closing for a pick up 'one thing'. Like most of our shopping trips, we got more than we came for ;-) The sales clerks were very helpful, and weren't annoyed that we came in SO close to closing time. They were very helpful in showing us new things of our old favorites, and were very excited to show us new things. I obviously will come back. read more

Horrible costumer service! I asked an employee named Tara for help and instead she stood on her phone for an extra 5 minutes before doing something, then when i asked her to look in the back for a product she instantly said it was out of stock without checking so i asked over and over and still responded with the same answer. she refused to give any samples at checkout and explained "they are only with purchase". When i spent 50 dollars there?!? While this was happening the women back in the salon was loudly complaining about their small paychacks. Very unwelcoming never am i going here ever again. read more

I love ulta! There are so many products to try and if you buy something and it didn't work for you, you can return it even if it's used! They are pricey considering the name brand products they sell, even the drug store brands are a little more, but they have good sales and keep the products stocked and carry drug store products other stores do not. read more

Ulta is Ulta. Same basic layout and merchandise as the rest. Nice, new, clean and bright. Giving them a one star reduction since staff seemed disorganized and hard to track down. Usually I feel like they are in your face asking to help you with something. Not so with this store. read more

Such a great concept so poorly executed. This last visit to the store was probably the worst I've ever had at Ulta but they're all bad. It's Christmas they have too many sales,signs, and incorrect prices. I can't find prices on products. Turns out they are not on sale but if I want to come back in a few days they may be. In general, no one in the store knows the product if you can get their attention to ask. Ironically this is becoming a show room for Amazon as well since I ordered what I needed from Amazon as I stood in the store. At least that way I wasn't playing price or sale roulette. As I said,such a great concept to have a store with all kinds and levels of beauty products located near stores I visit rather than high end malls but so poorly executed. read more

I waited 10 min. then had to go get someone again to let them know i was there. I took my son in to get his haircut nice and Faded look. It was nice at first then i noticed in the back his hair was so choppy looking he had long pieces sticking out short piecies in other places I paid $32 with a $6 discount so it came out to about $25 for a haircut that wasn't even even. it was all choppy in the back i did not like it and I will not go back. read more

Really disappointed in this location. As someone heavy in to makeup tutorials and keeping up with makeup artists on the internet, I know what is popular at the time. So it can't be hard for the employees to know what is popular, whether by Internet or by sales... But that doesn't stop them from never restocking things. I've been to this location about five times in the span of a semester, and they never restock the things I need that are sold out. E.g. NYX mechanical black liner, NYX taupe blush, Anastasia Bev Hills soft brown pomade, and Ardell Demi wispies lashes. There are even some items that I know for a fact other ulta locations carry that this one doesn't, e.g. Any Becca products. Idk if it's bc it's a small town, but even that's not a good excuse. They also don't notify when products are discontinued, which I know they are bc I work at a salon that carries those products. OH! And once I asked where a product was, and the employee talking to her friend (obviously too busy to check that products need to be restocked) responded to me by rudely correcting me on how to say the brand'a name instead of where it was. Also, the same five opened lipglosses in the NYX aisle have never been replaced in months, which is lame bc the only lipglosses stocked in that color are opened. Had a fabulous experience today. Very friendly and expert advise in the salon. Color and cut on my daughter in law looks amazing.
