BE WARNED...do not use this roof company. Their poor workmanship has caused over $60,000 of damage to my house. Their "new" roof had been leaking inside my walls for three years. I had been a customer of Envirotech Roofing for over 15 years. I spent $45,000.00 for a new roof in the summer of 2021. On June 11th, 2024, the area of Sarasota that I live in had 8 inches of rain in 3 hours. Water started coming up through my hardwood floors and stains started to appear on the ceiling. The roof had obviously leaked with the rain. I contacted Melody at Envirotech and she sent workers to my house on June 13th. The roof repair was covered by the 10 year warranty. What is not covered is the damage to the inside of my home. Envirotech wrote a letter to my insurance company admitting that their workers, when putting on the new roof 3 years ago did not put sealant on that downstairs area of the roof. I quote "the kick out had no sealant." Due to the poor workmanship of their workers while putting a new roof on my home, that section of the roof had been leaking into the walls for three years. With the big rain on June 11th, the water actually traveled through the walls, hitting the slab of the house and coming back up through the hardwood floors and breaking through the ceiling in one location. A water mitigation company had to come into my house and open up the walls to find the moisture and location of the leak. The repair workers were at my house on June 13th in the morning to repair the downstairs area of the leak. At that time, I was relieved to have the leak repaired. After the workers left, I went upstairs to do laundry and I saw that a guest room also had damage. The sheet rock had torn and bubbled out in two different locations. I immediately called Envirotech to report the upstairs leak. Melody told me the guys were at lunch but she would send them back after lunch. The guys did come back after lunch but their investigation said that the roof did not leak but the window was the cause of the leak. I questioned how the window could be the cause of the leak when there was water damage above the window? I had to hire a water mitigation company to come out and open up the wall and the ceiling. The wall and ceiling (wood, sheet rock and insulation) was soaking wet, filled with mold and the wood had rotted away. The roof had been leaking into the walls for three years. The water mitigation company treated the area for mold and created a report stating and showing that the roof had a leak. I called Envirtech to tell them that the water mitigation company found the roof leak and I need them to come repair this upstairs leak. The report generated by the water mitigation company was sent to Envirotech. The report included pictures of the damage and the open walls and ceiling. The pictures show that the water damage was above the window coming from the roof. I was informed by the owner that a trip charge of $350.00 would be charged to me if the leaks were not roof related ! REALLY...they had already admitted that there people forgot to put the sealant on the new roof in the location of the downstairs leak. Their guys had already missed the upstairs leak the first time they were there saying it was the window. I had already hired a water mitigation company who opened up the walls and the ceiling and created a report identifying the leak as coming from the roof. Envirotech had already been sent pictures and a video showing water damage above the window. Water travels down with gravity. Water does not have the ability to travel up against gravity. No way was I risking another $350.00 to have them send their same guys who missed the leak the first time. I called Envirotech to pass on my displeasure of their lack of customer service. I pointed out to them, that it was not far fetched for anyone to believe that their very same crew who installed one section of my new roof incorrectly could have also installed the roof incorrectly in the location of the second leak. I lost all TRUST in Envirotech. At my own expense, I hired another roof company to perform an exterior leak detection. They pinpointed the exact location of the leak. In this area, again there was no sealant on the seams and the poor workmanship of the Envirotech roofers had in fact caused the damage. The result of the poor workmanship of Envirotech Roofing, so far, has caused $63,000 of damage to the inside of my home. I have to replace headers in the wall and ceiling as well as stucco from the inside, all insulation, sheet rock, damaged flooring, baseboards and paint. "ENVIROTECH: WORST ROOFING COMPANY IN THE WORLD: ATTENTION: THIS IS NO EXXAGGARION! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!! / LEFT ME WITH NO ROOF DURING HURRICANE, WATERSPOTS ON CEILING EVERYWHERE IN HOUSE, BROKE GATE, FLAT TIRES FROM ROOFING NAILS, DAMAGED DRIVEWAY, AND A NASTY BULLYING ATTITUDE THROUGH THE WHOLE THING: I MEAN THEY ARE MEAN AS A JUNKYARD DOG!" Where do I start! Job was planned for months to start on certain date: They never showed up / never called/ yet that had my money. We had made plans to live somewhere else while they hammered away. So since they showed up a week late finally, we ended up being there during the job. There was constant arguing on the scene between workers and super. They proceeded to take the old roof off and threw it all over the ground, pool, shrubs etc. and worst on the brand new paver driveway (knowing it had just been replaced) without tarping and protecting the driveway. They broke the driveway gate. They left roofing nails everywhere which led to flat tires. They never showed up on a Thursday (knowing they had taken the roof off but didn't put the new one on and a CAT 5 hurricane was projected to hit Sunday). So I emailed them: No apology or anything: Just this: "we are remobilizing as we speak with projects and crews"! I called the girl there and she had nothing to say and had a terrible attitude. So here I am with no roof on a house I have owned for 20 years and a CAT 5 hurricane coming. They left in the middle of the job which they should have had completed a week earlier with a hurricane coming. Even with that there were several days when they could have finished it but either barely worked or didn't work at all. Luckily we did not get a direct hit so they came back after the hurricane and put the roof on. There were dozens of water spots on the ceiling from the all of the water damage. They refused to come in and look at and said they had done the inspections already "multiple" times which wasn't true (one guy came in, walked into the entry way by the front door, looked up at the ceiling, and walked out: Literally! He said he fell through the roof on a recent Envirotech job and badly hurt his back and can't really walk around much so that was all he could do!) : They finally agreed to come in and look at the ceiling. They quickly concluded that none of the damage was their issue because the contract does not cover the "inside" of the house. (That is one thing they do with every email: tell you that you need to refer to their contract. So buyer BEWARE BIGTIME!) So I get their final bill and they fluffed up with additional costs that were not accurate and were also not agreed to. So, I had damage inside the house, damaged driveway, broken gate and a flat tire. On top of that I am being overcharged for the job. Finally on a 0-10 in customer service they are a negative 1,000. They are just so nasty it's actually amazing. I have never seen anything like it. They truly don't give a you know what.. Well I still owed them a final payment (the last 1/3rd plus their new charges) and tried to work something out with them. However they don't care. They will call you every day demanding payment. In fact, they demanded final payment before they job was done which actually goes against their contract. I mean the list goes on and on. Now, here is the rub: They got you! Nothing you can do about it. I hired a lawyer to send them a letter. Their communication back to us and their lawyer's communication were extremely slow if existent at all. They then filed a lien on my house and shortly after that sued me which opened up the possibility of my house being auctioned off as a foreclosure! Now that made me lose more sleep at night of course! Can it get worse? YEP! Now they wanted more money: Lien fees, lawyer fees, their analysis fees to what this is costing them, etc.. They didn't pay their supplier so now their supplier is calling me ready to file a suit of their own. Bottom line, after all of that, I had to pay them what they wanted, my attorney and everything else. I still have the brown spots all over the ceiling. I am still finding roofing nails and old roof pieces everywhere. I had to pay to fix the gate and my tire and the driveway. Well I guess that is just part of life. So all I can do now is just warn the next person. My recommendation is NEVER EVER EVER HIRE ENVIROTECH to do your roof, no matter how low their bid. read more

I called enviro-Tech for leak in my roof. They came out the same day, showed me pictures of the water damage in the attic and explained exactly what needed to be done to repair the leak. The price seemed reasonable but I did get two more quotes. I ended up going with Enviro-Tech because they offered a 5 year warranty. They were even able to do the work that same week so I did not incur anymore water damage. All in all very reliable and efficient work. I will definitely use Enviro-Tech for any future roofing issues. read more
