Two of the other higher estimates were using 15 lbs felt and then the shingles. Roofs for life used a watertight peal-n-stick underlayment which I was unfamiliar with. I checked it out and it got totally great reviews as being better than felt. It was put on the same day, along with a new skylight, as the old roof was removed and from that point on my roof was watertight. 30 year shingles were then put on the next day. He went up in the attic and fell through the opening by the air handler and damaged the molding and the ceiling. Danny told me he would put it in his report and it would be fixed. Then when I spoke to Brooks, I told him what happened and they said Danny never mentioned what happened and it was not in his report. He told me I only had two nails and when I called my insurance company they told me I had three. They were trying to scam me for more money. Then the secretary Kayla that is unprofessional and very smart Alec. They never answer the phone there once they have your money. I reported all this to Brooks and all his cheap words told me that he spoke to Noah, and the employees had been spoken to. They told Danny that he needs to learn to speak the truth. Then they did my roof and their employees sat on the roof playing with their cell phones. This was my second home so when they were finished, I went over to inspect. The workers had damage my gutters around the house. I called Brooks and all he did was whine and whine that it was already there and showed me pictures from Google Earth a year ago. Well, pictures are taken different angles. I had my witness as my handyman and he said they are lying to you. Noah and Brooks never took responsibility for the damage to my gutters.. I had a second home and canceled my contract with them. They are very dishonest and try to scam you, don't take responsibility for their damages. I have spoken to other Roofing companies around town where I know owners and employees and they said New Wave has a really bad reputation in the Sarasota community of Roof took over from Weiler. I am still furious over them, not repairing the gutters. Immediately they started demanding that I pay them and I did, but I was not happy with them and I told them that. They didn't care and then they a all this. Stay away from this are unprofessional, behind their ears, and do not know how to treat customers. Since then I heard the company was Weilers and lots of law suits. They regrouped and changed their name. Noah loves to throw around law suits and his attorneys. They are one big headache. Sales rep told me we'd receive a $350 referral bonus once both jobs were done. The jobs were completed in Jan and Feb 2025. As of Dec 2025 no referral bonus has been received. Numerous contacts with owner over the months either went un-answered or I was told the bonus was "in the works". During last contact in Sept 2025 the owner told me we're only entitled to a $100 bonus due to the size of the neighbors re-roof job. This stipulation was never told to me at the time of contract. In order to settle the matter I agreed to a $150 bonus, which was never received. As a senior citizen it seems that I was taken advantage of by this business.
