I quickly googled emergency electrician in my area and reached out to Harrison without doing my usual review checks, etc. They quoted $79 for the call and service to be determined once the electrician was here. Ok. Once here, I was quoted over $400 for him to remove the can to look for the problem. I was shocked at the ridiculous price, but also very concerned because I knew my roof needed replacing. So, I went ahead. He removed the can and felt around. The insulation above was dry, the Sheetrock was wet. No further explanation when I asked why that could happen. He looked outside and didn't see any signs of a hole, etc. and said he didn't know. But, if I wanted, he could change out all the cans in the kitchen/dining/living room for a mere $xx,xxx. Ridiculous. Goodbye. Would not recommend to anyone!! Expensive lesson. Always check!!

I had a scheduled appointment with Harrison Electric and was given an 11:00 AM-1:00 PM arrival…read morewindow, despite originally requesting a noon appointment because I had another appointment to attend. I agreed to accommodate their requested window and waited for them to arrive. By 1:00 PM, no one had shown up and I had received no phone call or update. I called to find out what was going on, only to be told that they were still at another job and would be there for at least another 30 minutes before even heading my way. The lack of communication and consideration for my time was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I had rearranged my day to accommodate their schedule, only to be left waiting with no notice that they were running behind. A simple courtesy call letting me know they were delayed would have made a significant difference. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that my time was not respected. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Harrison Electric. This is not the level of professionalism or customer service I would expect from a company I am trusting to work on my home.

Contacted LeBrun, recommendation on Facebook. Haylee helped me even though she was on her way home. Next day Justin arrived right on time and did a complete overhaul of my very old panel and outdated connection into my home. He put together four quotes with different levels of upgrade to the system. He answered all my questions, assured me that he would deal with the city inspection and the power company, would provide backup power, and even tried to arrange to get the work done that day. This was an extensive full day project for Justin, Ryan, and Tyler. I have tight financial constraints and he went way above expectations to get my home very quickly powered up and safe, while respecting my budget.

I responded back, how rude and asked what he found confusing or difficult. He responded with another really mean, nasty, uncalled for email. I am unsure if it is because I'm a woman, or whether he's just no longer fit to be dealing with customers with large jobs. I recommend skip them. Otherwise known as…read moreswiss cheese, aka, going to leak and burst whenever I feel like it, aka, go ahead you cheapo and roll the dice and not replace me. I know a plumber back east and he told get rid of the "galvi" ASAP. Um, ok. So I called a few plumbers. Some were really cheap, like do the math and you wonder it takes X days and Y material, how do you stay in business? Another big shop in town was very expensive and seemed like they were adding little things here and there to the estimate. Erickson's guy, Mike, was very nice and was thorough and was clear on not needing things that the other high-priced shop proposed. He explained the residential codes to me and why I did not need certain things. He did preface that this was not going to be cheap. He walked through all the things that needed to be done and how long it took and I realized that this was going to take several days of someone working all day and knocking out walls and ceilings. This was a big project. Their estimate was expensive, but still about 15% lower than one of the other big guys in town. But, I got a good feeling about them. So I gave Erickson the work. They came in an installed pex and ripped out all the galvanized across 3 floors of my house. They did an excellent job and would not hesitate having them back in the future.

Unfortunately I have to write a negative review of Erickson Plumbing. We called about not getting…read morehot water, only lukewarm water, and the first plumber that came out said it was not the water heater and proceeded to change a cartridge in our master shower and charged us $800 for it, which is astronomical for changing a cartridge. He also broke the handle of the shower, reversed the hot and cold directions, and did not tell us it broke. The problem persisted and we continued to have lukewarm water. I called the company and they sent another guy out and he said that our handle was reversed from hot to cold and maybe I had just been using the wrong direction for hot water. Readers, I am not an idiot and know very well what direction is hot and cold in my own shower and what changed with the plumber. He didn't know what the problem was either. I called Erickson and they asked if they could make it right. I made it clear that I will not pay another dime and I expected money back if it ended up being an issue that would have cost me less than $800. They verbally agreed over the phone. They agreed they had misidentified the issue and it was on them to fix it. Erickson sent out a THIRD plumber and he looked at our water heater, said it was a pipe that needed cleaned out, cleaned it out and et voila, we had hot water so it was an easy fix. Afterwards I called to settle with them and see what they could refund me since it did end up being an easy fix and not worth a whopping $800. They refused to refund any of the $800 saying they had spent a lot of time on the issue and going back on their word and original mea culpa that it was their issue and pledge to make it right with me. It should absolutely not be on my dime if they couldn't figure out the problem until the third try and they also absolutely took me for a ride charging me $800 to begin with. I worked with them on good faith to fix the problem expecting them to make it right with me in the end since they were at fault for misidentifying the issue, not fixing it, charging me $800 for not fixing it, and breaking my handle at that. They would not budge and would not give one penny back, which is frankly horrible business. Be prepared to be taken for a ride if you work with them and pay way more than expected and gamble at even getting your problem solved, then lied to afterwards. Hire at your own peril.
