I'm a UPS driver and unfortunately I have to pass through an Envera controlled gate daily on my route. When I pull up it sometimes takes 5 -10 minutes for the operator to answer which is unacceptable. They are clearly short staffed but I'm guessing its because they are trying to save on staffing. Sometimes 5 or more cars stack up behind me as this is the only entrance to the complex. A complex next door uses a company called Virtual Guard. I highly recommend them as they typically answer within 15 seconds. They probably offer HOA's dirt cheap prices and get their equipment installed and your stuck with them and their terrible customer service. read more

So many issues with virtual guard not doing their job properly. A joke when it comes to security!! I have had countless "cases" opened and am given lame excuses as to why things happened. I have had guest in my list not authorized and nobody called, I have been denied entry (again/ agent wouldn't call). And we constantly have cars added to our profile that do not belong to us. Ironically, THEY get in. Also have had two accidents at our gate when cars have backed into me for gate not working due to malfunctioning parts. Requested access through an Envera system to access a publicly maintained road. The gate operator did not operate the gate for over 10 minutes while the line of cars behind me continued to grow. I called the number listed on the machine. That person had to call the gate operator that eventually opened the gate. I requested to speak to someone about the gate operation and it took an act of congress to get a supervisor on the phone. Then, the supervisor was unable to give me the number to or transfer me to anyone in gate operation. Bottom line is that a system is only valuable if and when it works. This one doesn't. read more

The company seems to only be concerned with their bottom line. Virtual agents appear to be overloaded with gate calls and the supervisors are not customer friendly when contacted about an issue. My guess is that when a community does not renew with them it doesn't faze them one bit because they keep signing up new ones. Bad business practice because eventually it will catch up to them that they will lose more than they will gain. read more

This security system is not worth the money. A lot of promises, few realized. Their CAMERA RECOGNITION is spotty and most times does not work. You cannot understand their operators when they speak. They operators confuse addresses and names and often appear barely literate. They are supposed to check with a homeowner before letting anyone into the community when a person is not on the guest list. Instead, when they could not reach the homeowner, they let a vendor in and modified the homeowners list to show the entry was permitted. It was later shown that the vendor wanted a different address and a totally different name on a different street! When visitors arrive, they may have a long wait for a responder and then, between the speaker system and the language skills of the responders, you may not be able to communicate. This Company is not ready for prime time! read more

Our community has Envera Security. There have been continuous issues, i.e., gates not working, gates coming down on vehicles, gates staying open. People have gotten hit with the gate, Envera was at fault, and people not getting paid for damages to their vehicle. The system also has Kiosk which harvest personal data via inserting their drivers license, copying their info and retaining it in their computer system. This is not a lawful practice. Yet, they are doing it. Each time they have to come and work on these gates, there is a hefty charge to the customer. Also a charge to monitor this terrible system. Moral of the story is do not use this system, it is dangerous and ineffective. read more

Worst security gate system ever! I cant even get to my house half the time. The sensor never works, it cost a fortune, weeks to fix and cant get deliveries or guest cause they never answer and when they do, they just tell people they couldn't verify and turn them away. There is always a line of cars at the visitor gate trying to get in. Worst company ever. I would give them -10 stars if i could. You basically pay to have a hard time getting to your house. Its harder to get into our neighborhood than the White House with a car. You can just walk right under the gate arm, but by god, no unknown cars. read more

Incompetent. They should do better training of those they choose to monitor the gate. I've had several issues where 1. They were letting someone in as me bc we had the same last name so obviously not checking ID as he is male and I am female and we have different addresses and names. 2. Letting a person in bc he was "accidentally scanned" to someone else's name so I didn't receive a call of him entering for months. I'd hate for someone to have a domestic situation with them holding their life in their hands. They'd be DOA. I was told by Envera that if there are several ppl waiting in line, they automatically let them all in to streamline things. Defeats the purpose of a "manned gate". This service is very pricey according to our HOA and I see no benefit. You'd be better off with a regular call system or a live person on site. read more

Envera lost our account information. As a result, they would not recognize we even lived in the community we've been in for 5+ years. Would not recognize our PIN. Would not allow us to add visitors. Locked us out of out of our resident login account. Would not correct the issue over the phone. Am now having to go through our HOA management firm wherein they will try to convince Envera they need to recognize us as residents as they have been (until inexplicably now) for the past 5 years. An absolute time consuming and frustrating fiasco. read more

We live in a community in Fort Myers. Envera was installed in 2020, and has consistently been broken every month. Either the gates are up or stuck or broken or broken off or falling apart or simply not there. We have been calculating how long it takes to fix gates in months, not weeks. On a dog walk earlier this year, a car blasted through the out lane at 5am because the out lane gate is normally UP and, strangely enough, the IN gate was actually working that morning. The residents and anyone outside our gated community have accepted that the gates don't work. We pay 5K in HOA fees a year, and part of this is paid to Envera. I would vote Envera WORST IN CLASS. read more

This system is really disappointing. 50% of the time I want to go to my own home, I have to wait at least 5 or 10 minutes. They do not provide me with a my to the residents gate because "I have enough" when they have no idea who I live with or any other information. I have been locked out very late at night which makes me come to the conclusion that this system is more of an endangerment to our citizens than a viable security measure for an already gated community. The concept is good but execution is flawed and therefore an inconvenience. read more

AWFUL! My community went with Envera gates despite the fact that there was overwhelming opposition to it. Now the gates don't open 1/3 of the time with the transponder they issued and help support is terrible. Reason to move. read more

I gave them one star only because there is no option to give zero stars. My community has a virtually manned guardhouse and the gates to the community are broken more often than not. The system was installed by Envera, but they are apparently incapable of getting to work properly and reliably. read more

Everyone complaining doesn't know the whole story. Envera does not fix your swing gates, that is up to your Community. They have their own company that fixes the gate. Also the resident stickers are not made by Envera. The app is super easy to use even a 5 year could use it. Most people don't like the virtual guards because they don't know their own Post Orders for their Community. There is a job to do and and if you can't be verified per the Community Post Orders then you just don't get in. If residents would list their guests it would be so much faster to get the visitors in...instead residents want a phone call everytime they have a visitor even if it is their own kid....why for what reason! I wish I knew How to make this review Of Envera Systems Less than one star! Envera claims to protect and keep safe the residents of the community, but they are doing nothing more than the previous security system. In fact , Envera has caused nothing but headaches since our community entered into a contract with the company, which, by the way caused our HOA fees to increase. I have heard nothing but complaints from other residents and the following is just my laundry list of complaints thus far and i am not confident any improvements will be made. - the gate was backed up onto the main road because the guard was giving a furniture delivery truck a hard time. What threat does a furniture delivery truck pose? There was a greater threat of a car accident on the street of the property entrance. - I received a gift from Edible Arrangements but the Envera guard du jour would not allow entry because the delivery driver was not on my list. How am I to know when a surprise delivery is scheduled to arrive? I called the guard to complain and she was very rude and basically hung up on me. The delivery driver confided in me whenever he makes a delivery to an Envera gate, he has a problem with said illustrious keepers of the gate. -my husband's sticker malfunctioned and he had to use the visitor gate to gain entrance. When he entered his ID card, the dim-witted guard gave him a hard time instead of Easily checking the list to verify he was a resident. - we have our children and grandchildren visiting and added them to our approved list. When they used the gate, with my husband in the vehicle as well, the guard had the nerve to ask who and how many were in the vehicle. Our home is a privately owned residence and this was an outright invasion of privacy. We can have as many visitors whenever we want! - why do the mail and trash trucks, etc have to wait to gain entrance to the property? These guards employed by Envera Systems are incompetent and rude; a bad combination. I know I am not the only resident being targeted by this ridiculousness and I sincerely hope our association does not renew the contract with Envera Systems. Until that time, I guess we have to stand at the gate of hell. read more

Great addition to the community! They actively monitor our gates and amenities, and are easy to get a hold of. They offer an app, that we can easily log into and add/remove our guests! We have only had one snag, and they walked us through what we missed when entering the gate. If they are not on your list, they give you a call to see if you want to let them in or not. Really happy our community went with them!! read more

Simply can't recommend...Our community with 590 homes installed ruffly 6 months ago. The system has continuous issues such as: gate malfunctions, long lines, the molding around the gate arm constantly comes apart, vendors turned away because they could not identify them even though they were entered into the system, sub-par customer service IMO etc...if your HOA is considering I would recommend finding another company. read more

Horrible! I want our security guards back. This system is always going down. Lines back up and cause issues. They take too long to answer. People still tailgate in, ram the arms and gates. Take forever to send video to Mgt. We never had these issues before. My community needs to stop being so cheap and bring our guards back. Was so much better and felt much safer. read more

I called Palmetto Locksmith today to have a key made for our front door. We live in Palmetto and my husband I and both believe in giving our business to local establishments if possible. The dispatcher was typing in my address to notify rhe driver before I could even asked the price. I finally managed to get a price to have them come out and make is a key. I was told the service charge was $95.00 and the key was $45. When the service man arrived he went to work . When he was finished and the one key was ready I had a bill for $203. I was told that the extra cost was because I had a keyless entry and because I did not have a current key. I called the Palmetto Locksmith back after paying the technician to discuss the additional $72. I basically got no where except that I was taken for an additional $72. Stay away from Palmetto Locksmith. Not only are they unethical in their pricing, they will not admit to their mistakes and refund your balance. I could have bought an entire locking system for what I paid them. It was ridiculous! Shame on me for calling them out! Never again! read more

Website refuses all reset passwords and now it will not even send me one. All I keep getting is case numbers and no response . Update Highway 200 gate Oakrun. As I promised I would post an update as I proceeded through the red tape of the Envera customer service system. I made my initial complaint to envera and received no feedback. I continued calling the office two times daily being told each time that they would have a supervisor call me back. For 7 days no representative from Envera returned my calls. I finally managed to navigate myself through to a employee named Fernando who is supposed to be in charge of reviewing and investigating issues with the gates. I will be very honest with you, this person was the most rude arrogant person I have ever met. After my conversation with him I did call back and ask to speak to his manager at which time I was told they would call me back. Never happened. Are you beginning to see the pattern develop.. I continued my phone calls for the remaining of the week again two times a day. No reply. Since I received no reply from Envera I reached out to the Oakrun LTD security officer and asked him for his assistance. I definitely want to give Peter a whole bunch of kudos. He did review my written complaint and reviewed the video. He confirmed what I felt the the gate strike was a malfunction of the gate. He investigated and documented his findings. In the interim the Envera Company still failed to returned my phone calls, but sent me an email denying my claim. They stated that my vehicle failed to be scanned there for when I proceeded from the stop sign through a green lite gate and when the gate struck my vehicle it was my fault. I just shook my head and wondered who is making these decisions. If I stopped at the stop sign and their system failed to scan to read my chip isn't that an issue? Second if the gate fails to come down between vehicles isn't that an issue and finally when there is a vehicle going through the gate the sensors are supposed to detect the vehicle and not allow the arm to come down striking a vehicle. Given that how in the world did these people make that decision? But there is a happy ending to the story oh, Peter did contact the management of the Envera Group and forwarded his report to their attention. He corrected the bad information they had in their reports as the system did report my vehicle being scanned and their system malfunctioned. Today I receive an email from Envera and based on Oakruns report they reversed their decision and now are going to pay for the damage of my vehicle. The moral to this story is don't give up if you're told no and you feel like you were in the right. Reach out to the people that can provide assistance and guidance. And finally this envera system and its customer service is terrible absolutely terrible. read more
