We just had our doors fitted with glass inserts. Well I must say they look beautiful. I made such a great difference in our entryway which brought in much more light into our home. Our installer Louis did a magnificent job in the installation. His work was carefully presented. He was meticulous in his prepping the doors. I had an appt. with Grayson Schmidt on April 25th...they advertised in the 89144 magazine, said family owned and operated. I thought that was a good concept, he showed up on time, had samples and complete explanation of process and my options. I needed an insert for a side light next to my door which already had a glass insert. He left me with a signed contract but the next day I sent him an email that I had changed my mind and didn't want to save time and money with just a textured glass insert-I wanted the insert to match the design on the door. When I made the appt. I made it very clear I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON!! My landline is off the hook while I'm sleeping and my cell phone is on vibrate but would a message or text. He took a "rough" measurement and said I would get a call from someone at his office to schedule one of his workers to come back and get an exact measurement. Then I sent him an email and he said it was rejected, I had added him to my contacts so I had no idea why it was rejected. But whatever, the texts came into my cell phone. Then he told me his lady was having a problem reaching me to set the appt. for guy to come and measure--I REMINDED HIM THAT LAND LINE WAS OFF THE HOOK IN THE MORNING AND USE THE CELL # She finally did and I wanted an afternoon appt. and she wanted 11 A.M....I agreed since it would take 2-3 MONTHS for custom design and I was anxious to get the process started. So I told the woman I was not a morning person and would probably be in my bathrobe!! AT 10:30 A.M. my cell rang and the man was OUTSIDE MY HOUSE!! I told him I had to get my hearing aids in, turn off the alarm and get my bathrobe....guess I wasn't moving fast enough (I'm 83 yo and handicapped)--the guy starts leaning on my doorbell! Did he think that would speed up the process?? So I opened the door and pointed to the the place for the insert - he took out a tape measure and didn't even remove the old insert so these measurements certainly weren't EXACT. He then just walked out the door-by now I was a bit more awake and called out to him to ask a question....rather than walk up the driveway to come back he took a short cut thru my LANDSCAPING.!! So I sent another email to Grayson and told him this man had not honored the time of the appt., had been rude and disrespected me and my property and I did not want him back at my house--NO RESPONSE!! HE THEN SAID TO AVOID A CHARGE TO USE A CREDIT CARD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY HIM $800 IN CASH!! Insert measurements were 22 x 58 inches. This eliminates any safety factor of filing a dispute if work not done properly. So I sent him another email and text and said there was no contract left under my mat, no communication and should I just consider the order cancelled!?!? He called my cell and said there were too many problems dealing with me and I should look elsewhere. So he wasted my time and the order was suppose to be started while I was traveling to my granddaughter's graduation. Now I have to start all over again. So while company is family owned and operated I have to wonder about the professional conduct of this family. I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NOT DEAL WITH THIS FAMILY OR COMPANY!! My house is fairly dark, so I wanted to get new doors with glass to bring in some light. The estimates for my 8' high, double doors was far more than I was willing to spend. Then I found out about Entry Brite and for a much more reasonable price, they removed the inside panels and replaced them with glass. They did a great job in 2 hours. Grayson was great. No pressure. Entry Brite was selected to renovate our front and back doors after interviewing several companies and looking into their history and reputation. The final vote was not close. We had ugly screen doors that also needed to be removed and got a fair estimate for the job from the company's owner, Jeff with help from his daughter, Taylor. The two member installation crew, Erik and Luis, arrived promptly at the scheduled time and proceeded to explain the work that will be done. There was never any doubt in my mind that the finished project would match my expectations. And it did! The two gentlemen knew their trade and were courteous and wore masks while inside the house. They touched up the old door frames and offered helpful advice on ways to enhance the doorway appearance. Love my doors. Quality is good. Waiting for my doors to come in was no problem but the screens were the incorrect size. Had to wait for new screens to be made. It was a hassle going back and forth with staff regarding finally finishing my door and getting the correct finish but overall I'm happy with the outcome. Doors are gorgeous. The job was for a front entry door & 2 back side doors, which was supposed to be done in 4 months & it took 9 months. They even didn't have the material even after paying partial payment in advance. Then we ran into their paint work. They didn't have any painter so another 2 weeks went by. They gave paint job to some other painter who bailed out at the last moment. The glass they showed us at the time of putting the order it didn't match with the picture they showed us. The lock was a cheap kind from Home depot on an over 10K entry door which stopped working after 6 months & they declined to take any responsibility. BAD BUSINESS !!! Entry Brite over-delivered. They turned our front door into an entryway. I would say, almost everyone who comes to our house comments on our front door. We love the style it brings and the light that it allows into our house. The process was remarkably simple. They arrived on time, removed our door, set up their gear out front, cut out the space for the glass, and within two hours it was hung and painted. Amazing! Stay way. We had a door put into our home and it has only been problems. First, their installer put the door in with chips and smears and left with the door looking absolutely horrible. He was sent back to do more and fixed only several of the issues, but once again didn't resolve all the issues with the door. Another person was sent to fix the rest of the issues on a third occasion. And now, the door is starting to sag so much that it no longer properly can close. There is such a taper at the top that it looks like it will fall down soon. We were looking to brighten up the front entry to our house without having to replace the entire door. We came across Entry Brite and could not be more pleased with the results. From the initial call and speaking with the owner Greyson, to the completion of the job was smooth as silk. We called on Monday and Greyson arrived a couple hours later to explain the process and show the product. He did not try to pressure us and after listening we decided to go with him. We chose a popular model that was in stock but the turn around time to complete was 1-2 weeks. We were hoping sooner and explained are reason and he stated it could possibly get done sooner. His staff called two day later and said they would be there on Thursday at 8 am. Manuel and Luis showed up right on time and we're professional, prepared and courteous.
