Chuck, along with his son, was quick to respond, listen to our needs, give us estimates, and remain in constant communication with us. Pictures were taken to show us what needed our attention and a scheduling of services began. We did not know that our chimney needed repair. One of his crew came prior to any roofing being installed to restore our chimney. We appreciated the detailed pictures that were shown to us before of the damaged areas and after to show us the work completed. His company/crews proceeded to install new wood where there was weather damage, put up weather barriers on everything, completed our roof, installed new siding over the original wood siding on our house/workshop. New porch posts were designed and detailed trim work completed. Each day the debris and trash were cleaned up and hauled away. They made sure everything was left neat and tidy. The job is done and everything looks beautiful! We are so thankful to have found a company that had constant communication with us allowing us the time to choose the proper colors with the corresponding accessories. Andy and team really went above and beyond on every aspect of the project from initial concept to post-installation follow up. They were always available to assist with any questions very promptly. The roofers did a thorough job and went through our landscaping with a magnetic broom to pick up any errant nails. This year we needed a downspout rehung and leaves blown out of the gutters. I figured I'd call the roofing experts and let them also recaulk anywhere the caulk from 8 years ago might have pulled away over time. We want to keep things water-tight up there, especially when snow and ice melt can creep in anywhere gravity will take it. So Dave came out and talked to me about it. He got up on the roof to take pictures of the problem areas. He let me look at those pictures and would share them with the worker who would come out to do the tasks/repairs. I would definitely call on Dave at Northstar again. He's local, he's thorough, and he's concerned with my happiness in the end. He's a very personable guy, too.

Their quote was competitive, and while they're not the cheapest option out there, they use top-quality products. My roof actually ended up as an upgrade from what I had before. From the first call to the final cleanup, everything was easy. Timely estimate, great communication, and a crew that was both friendly and efficient. I have a large roof, and they showed up early, knocked the whole job out in a single day, and cleaned up so thoroughly that my landscaping might have actually looked a little better after they left. Whether you need roofing, gutters, or siding, I can't recommend E.M.A. Construction highly enough. As long as they're in business, I won't be calling anyone else.

I hired EMA Construction https://www.emasiding.com/ to replace my fiber cement siding on my 25 yo…read moreranch house; it was about 13 squares. The original siding was fiber cement siding. I wanted to replace it with similar siding because it seemed to be very durable. Replacement was necessary because the original siding was improperly installed and the planks were falling off the house. I repeatedly had planks replaced and paint never matched original siding properly. So I chose to replace the entire siding. My research identified James Hardie as an excellent siding; and it seems quite durable, has a decent warranty, and looks nice. I chose EMA Construction to install because of their long term experience with James Hardie siding, and previous customer reviews. So I am confident I have a good product that was properly installed. Eddie provided the estimate and stayed in contact with me during the project. The installer team was excellent. They commenced work as expected and completed on schedule.. in spite of several rainy days. One area of the house required custom cutting of the planks lengthwise and at a slight angle. The team did an excellent job custom fitting the siding to this area. The total install, including flashing, caulking, and siding fit are all excellent. Total results and cleanup was also perfect. The install team (Nico, Blake and Eric) was professional and friendly and explained what they were doing throughout. I would hire them again should the occasion arise.
