I think they are trying really hard, but it feel it lacking a bit…read more I've been visiting my elderly here for 5 years. The rent goes up every year. It's slightly more than what she collects for a pension. The meals are provided and they are pretty good, but sometimes they are just awful. The staff is very friendly and capable, but when I reported my elderly's diamond ring had gone missing, I got no help. No response. I called for a case conference for my elderly and it was held without me. I wasn't invited. I'm the ONLY kin. I should have been called. Especially due to a hearing issue for my elderly. One day, I lucked out and walked into her room for a visit while the coordinator was having her yearly client conference. I had lots to say and I felt I was heard. The security is lacking. Guests are required to buzz in, but many just walk in. There is some free parking, but often full. I have to pay for street parking. It's pretty clean and cheery, but the thistle grows wild outside. They put on daily programs and invite a podiatrist monthly. There is a chapel on the 2nd floor which doubles for a fitness room and community centre. The weekly room cleaning they provided is barely sufficient. I'd probably be OK with living here in my 90's. I'd just let things roll off my back.
